That brought back a memory of a bit of a battle we had with our government run insurance company(ICBC). We bought a brand new 2015 GMC Canyon right off the lot and had it for 3 days. It was late spring then went on a roadtrip to the city that was a hour away, heard a rock hit the windshield but saw no mark. Next day a crack had formed almost from bottom to top of the windshield, the rock hit the black part on the bottom of the glass I didn't see then accelerated the cracking with the defroster going. When I called them about the crack in my windshield
I've always had glass insurance so 100 deductible and new windshield...well I thought. First was he said gonna look for a used windshield..NO your not. Going to get a off make glass that fits and a lot cheaper...No your not. I was getting choked that they were going to cheap out on a vehicle that I bought new and had only 3 days, I wanted that little GM logo in the bottom corner and that was final. They had to get permission as per say then told me a 3 week wait but they caved and I got a factory glass then proceeded to get private insurance after that. Final bill...I almost fell over for that GM factory windshield was 1200 bucks installed.
