And the size of the small glass bottles should be determined by the rate of use. If you vape five ml of 3mg a day, you need small bottles. If you vape 30 ml of 18mg a day you can use large bottles.

I just made 60 ml of no nic. My multi-faceted chocolate is better steeped, but as a shake-and-vape, it is tolerable. If these symptoms continue, I could have used very large bottles.

Another thing that I've heard stated authoritatively is that when you're going to use some nic liquid that's been in the freezer, don't open the container until it's warmed to room temperature. This decreases the amount of oxygen (and humidity?... heck, I don't know... I'm just the messenger) that gets into the container.

My suggestion for eliminating air space in the nic juice container: use as a container a syringe with a cap on the dispensing end. I'll let you know when I find one liter capacity glass syringes.

I went away for a while on a journey following Peter's link regarding packing with spheres. I'm not trying to say I comprehended any of it, but trying to get my head around it gave me a better buzz than drinkin'. The math is so complex that the figures regarding the maximum displacement have been revised as recently as 14 years ago.

Yep, they discovered that while layers in the lattice were the most efficient packing of the plane, how you interleaved the planes affected the packing. If you want to really twist your head around, investigate [ packing ] as a general subject. Roger Penrose is probably one of the world's experts on the subject. Look for some of his books. (Avoid his books on Artificial Intelligence (AI); I think he has a real bee in his bonnet on that subject.) Packing, when limited to a plane is called Tiling. Roger Penrose found a way to tile an infinite plane with identical tiles with an arrangement that has no regularity. Now that is mind-bending!

I'm like: yeah, so? because I can't even grasp it well enough to realize that it's mind-bending. Beyond "big potatoes rise to the top of the barrel during transport", things get murky for me really quickly. SOMETIMES HEAVIER OBJECTS GO TO THE TOP: HERE'S WHY

On a completely wild tangent, the limitations of a vacuum pump are pretty interesting. My Dad could never understand how any of his children could doubt that it is impossible to lift water more than about 33 feet with an Earthly vacuum pump. (Hmmm... what about where atmospheric pressure is vastly different?)

One of my favorite puzzles is the Monty Hall puzzle:

3 curtains with a prize behind each curtain. Only one of the prizes is worth having. You select a curtain. Monty then reveals a booby prize behind one of the two curtains that you did not select, and offers you the chance to trade your chosen curtain for the remaining unrevealed curtain. What are your odds of winning if you keep your original pick? What are your odds of winning if you trade curtains with Monty? The answer surprises most people.

I'm vaping, I'm vaping! See? :vapor:

If you'll get some Termidor SC (super 20 oz. concentrate that you dilute a whole lot for use), and use it 2 times a year...you won't have any crawlies in your house. I use a 2 gallon pump sprayer and spray a continuous thin line of it 1 foot above ground level on the outside walls, and another thin line of it 1 foot out from the walls, on the ground.
thanks! We can't get it right now, but I have it in my list and my son's on amazon.

My head is plenty twisted already. To prove it, it took me a bit to figure out that the "planes" you were talking about didn't have flight attendants

So which curtain do I pick???????? and is the answer different if it's doors???? :p

Whether curtains or doors, you will win 2 out of 3 times if you make the trade with Monty, but you will only win 1 out of 3 times if you keep your original choice.

I believe it is Wayne Brady now...
Yes, but the "Monty Hall Puzzle" was around back in the days of Monty Hall. The math/logic puzzle gained some notoriety when it was answered by supergenius Marilyn Von Savant in her "Ask Marilyn" column.

At first, I was one of the many people who thought "well of course it doesn't make any difference whether one keeps the door one has or trades with Monty... the odds are one in three no matter what." However, that thinking is incorrect.

I think you're right. Unless you are trying new stuff there's not a lot to say. Today I picked up my usual gear and vaped on it.

Something different did happen to me today. I have some Silver Bullets that I got as backup in case the FDA wipes us out, and I regularly use one just to get comfortable with them. I normally use it with a Lemo but recently put a KFL on it. I took it off today for a refill and it was stuck. It came part of the way off but got tighter and tighter. I came loose after I turned it back and forth a few times.

Appears that the positive screw on the KFL must have got stuck on the positive of the mod. Not sure how. But in the process of turning it the screw on the KFL rotated a bit and moved the block on the deck, which caused the coil to twist and short out on the deck. Didn't realise that until I got it filled and tried to fire it up. Immediately blew the hot spring. I'm going to have to scrap the battery as well to be safe.

That couldn't happen with a Lemo because the positive screw isn't connected to the deck. It's the only one I have that isn't an EhPro, just some nameless clone from FT. Maybe the positive screw has sharp edges on the slot that caught on the positive of the mod.

I got a bag of hot springs for the stash but not an unlimited supply. I might need to check the resistance of tanks every time I put them on, even after a refill.

My excuse for not being here is the surgery I had didn't go the way it was supposed to several months ago and trying to get back to normal is taking forever. Getting there though. :) Been coming on to bump the petition (thank you DH for your support! )and that's about it. Log in, fall asleep for an hour, bump, log out. Also having vape mail withdrawals. :(

They have a Memorial Day sale thread. Not much there. ECF Suppliers' Memorial Day Weekend Sales!

Cheers all! :toast:

Working with my wife. She is giving up cigs for an operation. She thinks vaping is "fussy". I have her on a Provari 2.5 and 3 Zeus RTAs. Since all my juice is 3-5%Nic, she is vaping heavy.

I listen here mostly.

Got my wife set up with 2 Pro Tanks and a Nautilus, all on Picos. If I don't keep an eye out she vapes them dry then complains about the nasty taste.

Good luck to your wife! Hope this works for her, & surgery goes well!

Another problem some Provari folks ran into was ... the air adjustment screw would back out ... then catch on the groves on top of the Provari making it dicey to unscrew it. I either removed those screws or always made sure to turn them in a bit on each refill.
