When I use creams and/or custard flavorings in recipes, they used to take about a week to "be their best", IMO. Then I got a little Norpro Deluxe Mini Mixer on eBay (about $7), and after using it...they're great in only 2-3 days.

The only time I personally let a new eliquid sit totally open, is to evaporate off the ethyl alcohol in it before I vape it. It's not good for your lungs. So, after I've either shaken the beegeebees out of it, or used the little mixer with it, to cause bunches of little bubbles...I let it sit totally open until all the bubbles pop and a white ring forms just above the top of the eliquid. The EA is gone then, and I vape it.

I don't know which, if any of my juices contain alcohol. I have tasted a drop of a flavor or two to see. If you get a burning sensation on your tongue, it's probably due to alcohol. I've experienced that with a couple of mine. Usually, they are fruit/candy flavors in my experience.

What the heck is alcohol's role in a juice flavor? Throat hit? Catalyst for flavors that don't blend on their own?

I know which ones of mine contain EA, because I check the ingredients of each flavoring before I order it/use it in my DIY. I want to avoid the pretty much immediate back-base-of-the-head headache I get if I vape eliquid with EA still in it.

I've gotten sort of a burning/stinging sensation on my tongue and my lips at times using some flavorings in my DIY. Thought they possibly contained EA and I didn't know it...but they didn't. Still haven't found out what caused it. So I just use those at a low % now and they're fine.

From what I've read, it's for the second reason.

All these child-proof bottles are elder abuse!

I have my nic base sitting out on the counter waiting for a kid to get home from the pool to open it for me.

Child-proof, my ....!
I agree! I had to use pliers to open a bowl of cubed watermelon the other day.

Was it one of these? My wife eats it all the time. Not the greatest container design ever. It's even harder to close than it is to open, and if you leave the lid loose on top it's really easy to drop when you take it out of the fridge.

Those round rubber waffle pads are waiting to be your new friend!

I have a couple of these in my archery gear. They are handy at pulling arrows out of the backstops.
I really like the idea of cutting them into strips to aid in unscrewing tanks and taking them apart.

I use soft-jaw pliers, myself. I don't need them for ejuice bottles (since I don't use 'em), but for getting my Aspire Nautilus tanks apart to refill. Getting a grip on the base is what gives me trouble. My grip is getting weaker by the year. I used to be able to squeeze a bathroom scale to over 300# (enough to easily do fingertip chin-ups); lately it is under 150#.

I do like the "grippy pads" although most of mine are some kind of grippy flat plastic rather than the waffle pads shown. They usually come printed with some variation on "Round Tuit" (as in, "I will do that when I get a Round Tuit.")

I wonder if the more waffle-like pads might be more grippy than the flat ones. They wouldn't help with child-proof bottles. But, maybe for getting my KFLs apart?
These solved my 88 year old Mom's problem opening jars. The small end works for atomizer coil deck removal. You get grip AND leverage.

I find a pair of the tweezer gizmos work very well for my KFs and similar size tanks. One could be of less value. And, with the ceramic tips, good for those who use compressed coils.

The shelf liner comes in at least a couple thicknesses. The thicker works well, haven't tried the thinner. Again, having two is better, but with a 10' roll, lots to work with :) Yep, grippy enough to be useful, same stuff as the round ones, but, well, rectangular unless you want to cut creatively ;)

That kind but smaller & square. I think the corners made it super hard to open. And yes on dropping them.

I have two pair of those ... one pair 'wore out'. It just won't grip a KLF base or top tight enough to unscrew it any longer. And the other one is starting to show the same symptom.

Those tweezers can also be found with interchangeable inserts to fit different sized atty's.
