I run a Paranormal with a Skyline tank and SS coil. It's a great combo...use it every day.
Yeah I really like my Lost Vapes mods. I have the Therion and a Triad and I really like the dna chips, the YiHi are good also but they are kinda expensive seems like you get more for your money with a dna. I load the wire profiles from Steam Engine which seem to work really well but the stock ones I've heard a pretty good also. All I use is SS316L for wire so that's the only profile I need. Lost Vapes makes some really nice looking mods don't they? Plus the leather seems to be really durable. Had these over a year of everyday use and they still look like new. How is that battery door on the Paranormal? Looks like its pretty well built.

My love is performance, but life has gotten in the way. Learning new venues with Geordi. Nothing like trying to learn agility at 64 yrs old! But he loves it so I do. Also show him in conformation, but not this show. Too busy to even think about it.

Thanks! My thumb is doing well. I have been braiding again for several months. Some things I will never be able to do with my right hand (think about how often you use the tip of your thumb - picking things up, holding things, pushing things (button to unlock my van), etc. But I have become much more ambidextrous and that will continue. It is very cold sensitive and probably always will be. Last Christmas my DH gave me a battery (USB charge) hand warmer and it goes with me everywhere. So I am healing well and adapting. Thanks for asking after it.

Glad to hear you are able to braid. That is huge! I completely know how it is to learn to use your left hand more. There seemed to be a plateau for me, where once I got used to using it for certain things other things became easier & I don't notice or struggle with it unless it feels awkward. I by no means adept with it yet, but it's getting better.

It's real nice. It hinges on the back of the mod, slides forward just a little to unlock. Spring loaded and flips out of the way. Absolutely no interference with batteries, they slide in like a dream. Push it against the mod and slide it back to close. It fits tight. Real tight. I've had this mod for about 6 months and the door is still as tight as the day I bought it. Been in daily use since it arrived and the door has never popped open by itself.

This is the highest quality mod I have ever owned.

I finally coiled/wicked a Skyline for Janet. hmm! I'm impressed, flavor and vape were real good from the 1st couple vapes. I can definitely see a couple few more of these to replace Janet's stable full of KFL-Lites and maybe even a couple for me. (My goto's are KLF-V5s on my Radii and on my JACs I use Primes).

First time putting a coil into an atty with both posts on the same side. Had to take a little time to kink/bend one of the coil leads so both were 'coming off' the bottom of the coil in the 'same plane'. Easy enough, just different from any of our other attys.

Also wasn't sure how much to trim the tails of the wick coming out of the coil. On all the Kayfuns Lites, V5's, Primes, I cut off 1/2 of the protruding wick before tucking it down/into place. On the Skyline I only trimmed off a 'bit' (way less than 1/2). My coils are 2.5mm ID and stuffed dang snug with rayon.

Then I wasn't sure how much to open the juice control. So, I'm starting off with it about 1/4 open when I look at the juice flow slot. Don't want to starve it for juice and don't want to flood it. Our juice to 50/50 PG/VG. Seems to be working Ok but I warned Janet to watch for flooding/gurgling or the worst of all a dry hit.

She's vaping it with the smallest airflow adapter ... just 1 small single hole. Yep, she definitely does not like an airy draw.

All in all it was a pretty easy / convenient atty to setup.

When I wick mine, I fluff the wick upwards so it looks like a bow tie with a straight bottom. I start about half way up from the bottom on the the fluffed end and cut the angle so my scissors are even with the top of the coil. I suppose that would be about the top 1/3 of the fluffed part. This is with Rayon, all I ever use.

Juice control I use about half the juice flow slot visible for 50/50. 80/20 I just open it up all the way. The most "leakage" I ever get is a few little droplets around the air flow ring, and I think most of that is condensation from vapor coming out the air flow ring. Skylines leak way less and have at least as much flavor as any Kayfun I ever owned.

I'm using the air flow adapter with 3 medium sized holes and air flow ring wide open, and can either MTL or restricted DL with it configured like that.

I've found it isn't real picky about how it's setup.

Yep, I think I'll trim off more on the next build, just started conservatively on my first attempt. When we were testing the air adapters, I liked the 3 little holes better than the single hole that Janet preferred. I don't like an real open/airy draw. I prefer just a bit of resistance though. To me it didn't seem to make much difference how open the air ring was, seems the airflow adapter was the real contributing factor to the draw.

Thanks for sharing how you use yours.

No problem. Better to start out on the conservative side than end up with a mess.

I find it really shines with TC and replay.

I failed at TC. I've probably have a 1/2 doz DNA 75 mods and they're all used in power mode. I could never dial in a vape I was satisfied with to would stay consistent when I did get it where I liked it. I tired Nickel and SS for the coil material and neither worked out for me. I was also 'put off' with all the cautions I read about dry burn/cleaning TC material coils and wasn't willing to change out coils every time I rewicked. And it was all more techie (eScribe, TCR curves, etc.) So Kanthal and power mode is 'it' for me. Maybe one of the DNA boards with Replay would put me back in the game ... but I'm happy with my vape and don't seem to have the enthusiasm or time to venture back into the TC world.

Mike, you have changed a lot through the years. Life, despite the worse times, does get better.

My first 2 TC mods were Picos. The only option was what the coil material was, they took it from there. But this DNA stuff...the first time I plugged my Paranormal into Escribe, I felt like a cave man in the pilot seat of the space shuttle. A few dozen attempts (I thought I had bricked the unit several times), and I finally got it going pretty good. Still using factory settings, haven't downloaded any different curves or that kind of stuff. In that respect, I'm like you- I'm happy with it and leave it alone.
Replay is the nice part. I vape it for a while, then I need to clean the coil or rewick. I do that and turn replay off. Pretty soon, I get a toot I really like, hit replay and every toot after that is just like the last one.

Now I have to look up something else. Coppervape Skylines???? No clue, I'm out of the loop.

They've been out for some time, Pat. Nice variation on the KFL2, with top fill, juice flow control, huge range of air flow control. Still single coil build.

Over time, I've tried a few of the "newer" single coil tanks, and these are the only one's that got into regular rotation with my KF2s.

Yep, the adapter sets the max air, no matter how open the ring is. (Well, unless fully shut!) Using the adapter for the draw you want means you don't have to be concerned with the ring position.

Rayon as well. I run closer to 65/35 PG/VG, and don't bother trimming the wick. Cut square to the coil axis at about the outside ring (where the glass goes), tuck down into the chamber, done. Only time I've had one leak was when I forgot to close the juice flow when filling, and can't fault the tank for user error!

Then again, I've never had problems with KF2s leaking...

How 'open' do you set the juice flow?

Most of mine are set with the 3 small hole adapter. Those that are set with more air, I run the AFC so only about a circle is open, so mostly closed. (That almost makes sense to me...) So that would be, uh, about a 3 mm opening?

No, no ... not the airflow, the juice flow.

Anyone bought from Gearbest? Are they reliable? I think I bought from them once and had trouble ... they advertised an Tobeco brand atty and I bought a couple ... they shipped me a no-name atty. I knew it wasn't a tobacco from the packaging and quality of it because I already had a few of the Tobacco one's. They denied the 'switch' but since I paid w/ PayPal I was able to open a dispute and get my money back. They even changed their advert after I contacted their CS about the issue.

Anyway .. they have the Coppervape Skyline 'on sale' but I'm hesitant to order because I can't accurately remember if they were the company I had trouble with.
