Anyhoo made my first ever test batch of blueberry juice, and well it tastes like a sweet buttery type of affair not like blueberry at all. Hmm...

My ratio is 65/35 cause I like the throat hit, & the nic is 3mg, with 10% of TFA blueberry extra.

As Deb mentioned, letting it sit a day or three may help. If that doesn't improve it, split it into two bottles. Cut one in half with your base, so it will be roughly 5% flavoring, and see if that improves it any. Sometimes too much flavoring can be, well, too much. (Sometimes a bit of salt makes food taste better, while too much salt just makes it taste, well, like salt!)

And doctor the other half so it's about 15% flavoring, as sometimes a particular brand and flavor just comes out weak.

Possible, too, that since you're trying to duplicate a pre-mix that they just don't say all the flavors that went into it...

I have three different blueberry flavors that just arrived in the mail. I am looking to prepare them exactly alike to see which one(s) go forward. A new concoction always needs adjustments, for me anyway. I think that is my next project. A cool strawberry-vanilla is after.

Good plan, FF. Not all brands taste the same, or need the same %.

And why I always mix new flavors solo, to see how they taste to me, before using them in blends.
Yep I do the same.
Although some are pretty horrible solo.

no the mother of the girl didn't like it,
being told its not ok for 8 yr old to sit on knee of any adult even related
Ok, gonna clarify my previous answer a little. It's not just an 8 yo girl thing. It's just part of growing up. Babies, toddlers sit in laps as a matter of comfort, comforting, physical abilty to sit up by themselves, & not having developed the self control to sit still & not jump up & run around. That kind of thing. Lap sitting is a loving snuggle, cuddle, or disciplining of behavior, control thing. By age 4-5 there should be less & less lap sitting other than as a security, & comfort thing (snuggle, cuddle), as the child learns & developes self control & becomes more independent. Lap sitting is getting more to be along the lines of a show of trust & affection. By age 7 & definately by 8 the child should able to show trust & affection more along the lines of hugs & sitting close to someone for a bit & not lap sitting. Usually by age 6 or 7 they think lap sitting is for babies, not big kids. By age 8 lap sitting should only be when extremely in need of comfort & then they usually go to a parent or grandparent or for that.
Better explanation? Don't push hrr away, just suggest she's outgrown your lap but she can sit next to you.

It can take 2-3 versions of the same flavor to achieve a good mix. I had to use bluebery extra, blueberry wild & a little blueberry candy to reach a blueberry cream I was after. Then I used 4 different creams, too.

If that's the case, I figure there's not much that can be done to satisfy my tastes with that flavor! :w00t:

Guess I'm an oddball because I like most flavors solo. Makes life a lot easier too. ;)

That it does!

But sometimes the right blends.... :thumb:

Tutu, places like West Texas are why 8 tracks were invented! Mega miles of nothing! I love it, but then I'm fine with a slightly reclusive life style these days.
I ususally don't mind being reclusive, I do mind driving across hundreds of miles across Texas. I've seen very pretty pictures of Texas, none taken where I was, lol. I just wanted to hear the news, no such luck, and had gotten sick of the CDs I had with me. Live and learn.
    Vape question.
Is there a simple rta that I can use my 1.8 ohm pre wicked coils with silica?
I generally use pt2s, and have just gotten an A7 rda that takes these. I have 100 coils on order and looking to add interchangeable attys to my stash.
I have some issues with both hands, so these seem to be the best option for me.
I use the Davides since the PTs became popular about the time I switched from carto tanks and people were having so many problem with them. Tried Evods but couldn't get rid of the plastic taste. Anyway, I hope you ordered the coils from FT, they're about $3.00 a pack from them if you buy more than 5 packs at a time. $3.44 Authentic Protank Clearomizer Coil Heads (5-Pack) 5-pack - 1.8ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping It's what I'm stocking up on. But also listen to what Kenna says...
I have hands issues, too, Dude. Several of us here do. But don't think you can't wrap & wick coils. If your hands work at all there are tools available that make it very easy. If you can turn a 1/2" knob then you can wrap a coil. Installing a coil can be more challenging, but single coils in a device with holes in the post is easier to install than wrapping the wire legs around the screw types. As messed up as my right hand is, I can make, wick, & install coils in everything. I use Kayfun rta's, & Magma drippers, but those are my favorites. I've worked with others, tho. With the tools it's much easiers than trying to do it with just my hands alone. I use Japanese cotton for wicking, the only silica I've used came prebuilt with a dripper I bought, but I know some here use it.
You can use a coiler to make the coil, plus a paperclip to get the spaced coil, just ask how and someone will have the video link, and then wet the cotton to make it skinny and get it "threaded." Wait a day or two for the cotton to dry and then reassemble to the coil. I have a metric ton of them and still adding to it.

I've also got several RTAs that I have no idea how to use, just in case. For some senseless reason, I prefer my Davides. Go figure.
Yes C but I am neighbor and happy new one to ya. And I suspect a great many of you are natives as well on this thread. Same to you all.

Just poppin' in here for a bit to point everyone to this current FL legislation thread...Florida HB 1143 ?…a submission which literally could outlaw vaping in many private and public spaces in the state. It's in committee right now, today. And just like the developments regarding Sales to Minors that resulted in the first vaping regulations in FL last year it relies on the states preemption of authority to make all law for the state regarding "smoking". In a duplicitously marvelous sleight of hand that authority is used to mangle the English language by decree to pronounce that any nicotine dispensing device IS smoking. This semantic and logical misconstruction is what opened the door to regulation in FL. It's being used now to impose the extreme, effectively prohibition.

Without public exposition there can be no sales, there can be no vaping community. There can be no persuasive demonstration to the public or prospective vapers as to the efficacy and safety of our activity. We are back in the closet marginalized and stigmatized…again! Out of sight, out of mind.

I urge every Floridian and every vaper to get involved in these developments. A great deal of legislative language has been tested in S FL waters and ultimately been used as model legislation in other states. Now is the time to see exactly how these legislators brew this black magic and shackle us with the consequences.

I've referenced FL House links as well as call to action notices by FASA and VISTA (CASAA has issued as well). I'm hoping someone will relay to these representatives that we will not allow this corruption of legal misconstruction to stand.

Thank you all and good luck.

    :)
Hey Mac, thanks for dropping in and dropping a bombshell. :w00t: No, really, thank you for posting that and a hearty welcome to the porch where people really do do care. Consider yourself having an honorary rocker here. :)
I wonder when they'll stop asthma suffers from using their inhaler in public?
They can kiss my merry little .... when they do.
Glad you, your brother and, presumably, others, are having a great time. Thank you so much for posting the link. My husband and I both drooled over the photos, you lucky dog! Keep on having a blast!
I am going to eliminate my tea flavoring from the florals, and make them with the new nic. I think with my recently lower pain threshold, those flavors were just too irritating. Which explains the sinus drainage.

Just got some spare parts from FT.
Glad you seem to have worked it out. Wish I would have done so so quickly.

Thank you all for the replies and links.
DavidOck has been one of the most helpful members on this forum, he is good at helping me spending my money, then giving me a hard time about it!:toast:
Spending other people's money is a major source of pride on the porch. It's only second to helping other people out but we're working on it. :)
For any of our newer folks interested, here's the planning thread.......

and here is the house we've rented.
    The Lakehouse 6 Bedrooms/6 Baths Pool,Hot... - HomeAway Bradenton

6 bdrm 6 bath, game room etc, and at least 3,000 square feet just in the outside screen in pool area! forget the sq. ft of the house itself, and didn't look it up, but y'all can
I'd talked myself into the trip and worked out a way to make it happen, the realized it conflicted (month wise) with my father's 93rd birthday. It's no contest but a bummer all the same. I hope you guys all have an extraordinarily wonderful time. Please, somebody go to Harry Potter world (whatever it's called) and tell me it's not worth the price of admission.
Guess I'm an oddball because I like most flavors solo. Makes life a lot easier too. ;)
Yep, me too, but I envy those that get all creative. Still, I'm very happy my vape doesn't taste like tobacco.
May have been panties, some of those look lethal to get into.

Thanks for the nod FT. Watched this industry and community for some time. Followed super_X_drifters lead with the micro to try and see if we could put quitting and rebuilding on the fast track for new vapers. Reason I limited my participation the first 2 yrs here to hardware. Here to pay back what I couldn't pay forward. So the gratitude can't run out. Not the adventurous dynamic fella I was in biz and personal life these days but we try and keep up. On this FL bill we all of us need to pay attention as I think the agenda has seriously hardened. Evidence to me of the impact of the determined influence of vapers and this community. Bound to be a pushback. It's expected but a good sign. If you want to put out a fire, throw water on it. Well vapor's the proof positive. We're doin' it. Numbers matter!

Thx FT for the warm welcome and good luck. :)
