Did some vaping today, but i still have trouble relating it to a cigarette. i am searching around the forum, oh my, we have so much to read here and learn. I'm looking forward to all of it. Has there been any new information on the ruling, i looked for it in news, but not much to see??

I hope all my fellow Texanshave not had alot of rain today, i know central texas was hammer ed on today, and after the rain last weekend, it was is bad...:( it barely missed our farmup in midway. Thank heavens! Im hoping tomorrow brings only lil bitty amounts of water to us.

Mike or Janet,
How warm do your Istick TC40W get when you charge them? Mine get quite warm but, I haven't had any problems with them and they cool right off when they're done even if I leave em connected to the wall wart.

They feel pretty warm, but not hot and they cool off pretty quickly. We try not to leave any of our batteries in the charger when we're not here or when we go to bed. Usually an iStick gets charged in the morning as long as we're home. That way we're here to take it off when it's done.

Well Matt, I'm glad Janet pays attention. I was just going to tell you I haven't noticed how warm it gets.

You are well on your way to being a non-smoker. Nice going!

As an ole timer myself, I still find myself wanting to try new things, it seems to never ends !!! I have tried ( And this is a rough estimate) probably in the neighborhood of 5-600 different eliquids.. My new search is for coffee flavors,,I dont really like extremely sweet liquids but slight sweetness is ok.. Also not wanting anything caramel based.. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Regards,Harley.....

Vaping is not exactly the same as smoking. It's close, but different so you really shouldn't dwell on relating the vape to smoking. It's it's own experience. It's just going to take some time to get used to it. Although I quit smoking immediately (still am amazed that happened) many people continue to smoke while they vape and gradually come to the point where they realize they enjoy vaping better than smoking. Just keep in mind that reducing the number of cigarettes you DON'T smoke is a victory in itself.

In the beginning my thoughts were grounded in how much I loved smoking, but hated what it was doing to my body. I started vaping to help me at least cut down, fully expecting to be a smoker for the rest of my life. Vaping was close enough that I thought it just might work. There were no panic feelings of not being able to smoke if I wanted to but I kept the open pack of cigarettes on the fridge - just in case. About 6 months later I finally tossed them. Just relax and let the journey unfold. Enjoy the ride, it's interesting and there will be some pleasant surprises along the way.

I smoked a pack and half a day (more on weekends) for 40 years. Wow, it was getting expensive. I went through a carton every 5 days or so. It was close to $60 a carton. $360 a month, up in smoke, literally. It was over 5 years ago when I started hearing about these new fangled electronic cigarettes. Did a bunch of online research and ordered an EGO kit and some juice.

I remember the day it arrived. July 22, 2010. Two 600Ma batteries, a few atomizers and tips. Charged them up, added juice, and started vaping. That was my last day on cigarettes. Haven't had one since. Of course, I have upgraded to 1100Ma batteries, and progressed to DCT tanks and 1.7 ohm prepunched cartos, but I'm still using the EGO style batteries. Tried a few of the early mods, like the Rough Stack and the Bolt, but the switches always failed.

Seems like now, the government is trying to get me to switch back to cigarettes by banning online sales and taxing and regulating e-cig products and juice.
Sigh, what am I going to do with my Uncle Sam. He should be in a rest home, LOL. He's not thinking straight. Alzheimer's or something.

Sheera's, that is quite an accomplishment! You go! For many people, the journey begins with one less and then one more less until all of a sudden there are no more stinkies. For others, it's an immediate thing. Neither is better; both are something to celebrate! FWIW, another strategy that people employ is to have some higher nic juice available for stressful moments. That helped me. YMMV :)

Hi, Harley. I think we haven't met ... Happy to know you! The Plume Room makes a coffee called Cafe au Lait, as does Ahlusion. Neither is at all sweet, tho Ahl will add sweetener on request. Both companies make quite flavorful juice. I think the Ahl juice benefits by a good steep. HTH!

Welcome to the Porch, Butch! So happy you've moved from lurker land to your very own rocker :). Sit and stay awhile; lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here, but be forewarned: we are all very good at spending other people's money!

I can see from your avi that you've been around for a bit. Any particular threads that hold your interest?

Hi and welcome to the Porch. Good for you ... seems you found something that works and didn't get bit by shiny-itis and always chasing the 'next best' thing. Make yourself at home and hang-around.

Try Backwoods Brew cappuccino & Highbrow Vapor Cappuccino Diablo

Welcome Butch - always nice to have new people coming to the Porch. When I was buying juice Backwoods Brew was one of my favorite vendors. Now-a-days my wife makes all our juice.

Welcome to the porch Butch. Pull up a rocker, put up your feet, get comfortable and join the conversation with the best bunch of folks around. We also have a Back Porch for non vape related stuff. Here's a link...

I'd say you should go back to the beginning and catch up but, that would be kind of difficult as we are on the fourth iteration of both the front and back porches. We have to start fresh after 15,000 posts so your well over 60,000 posts behind!
