Hahaha... naw, i werk for a oilfield service company and I do high temperature/high pressure testing in large pressure vessels. We replicate the downhole conditions of an oil well in order to test different sensory tools that our company produces. We can test as high as 500°F and 30,000 psi.

Now THAT would be a cloud machine! :w00t::lol:

Yeah... we had a guy that screwed up a coupla years ago... blew the top out of the vessel (wasn't properly locked down) at 320°F and 16,000 psi... launched the top and a 25' tool over 45' into the air. Only thing that stopped it was the overhead crane rail. Filled the entire work area with steam for the next half hour while we waited for the vessel to cool down. Fortunately, that was the day after I started a 2 week vacation. ;) That guy was gone before I even got back!

Has anybody looked at the Vaptio Ascension S150 ATC? It's a new TC device that apparently has a stand-alone temp sensor that measures "vapor temperature" and regulates automatically based on your preferred setting. It uses a 3-pin configuration (I think it's a modified 510). Anyway, I just thought that it was kinda interesting and thought that I'd share... and Heaven Gifts is running a contest for beta testers (I tagged Legs in the contest, cause they were looking for TC experts.) I think they're giving away 5 kits to be tested... This is the link to the contest for any who are interested

For the Kayfun fans ... a bigger version of the V3 mini

SvoëMesto | Kayfun 5 – important announcement

Nice. I ordered a v3 mini clone to see if I like the design, if I do I may shell out for an authentic 5. I've been beating the crap out of my 2 authentic KFL+ for years and they are still rock solid. Lost count how many clones have ended up in the trash. 2ml is a pretty small tank, it's not that easy for me to refill at work, easier to have a 5ml to get me through the workday.

In the Mountains
Mg/ml x ml/day = mg of nic consumed per day
Pick your source size and strength, say 100 mg/ml * 1000 ml = 100,000 mg.
Divide that by mg of nic consumed per day and get number of days that size and strength will last.
Divide that by 365 to get number of years.
Dancing, thank you!
When they talk about an increase in the number of high schoolers vaping, they never mention there has been a decrease in the number of high schoolers smoking cigarettes because of it. They never mention it, but you know they are aware of it. Such a nasty, dishonest group of people has taken over much of this country.
And their survey's always include those who have EVER TRIED an ecig. Thatvs renders an inaccurate count of those who are actively & continually using them. My grandson used one for a few months in college during clinicals & then stopped.
When I read MikeA's post what Kenna said immediately came to mind. They count someone that's tried it in the last X months as a vaper.
Since last night, I've been trying to get past the sentiments expressed in posts about cloud chasing, here and elsewhere. I find that I can't. It feels too much like victim blaming.

So, whom shall we derogate next? Perhaps the FDA acted because of dual users -- See? Vaping doesn't necessarily replace smoking, and anyway, how dare they not quit the same way I did? Or, perhaps it's the fault of those who like sweet/cereal/tobacco/...-flavored juice, because we all know that kids like those flavors. Right? Or, maybe it's that guy whose mod blew up, because weren't we all under the radar before that happened? I suppose it could be those darned cloud chasers, who had the audacity to challenge one another to competitions to see whose lungs were biggest -- instead of just smoking.

Please forgive my sarcasm; it is where I go when my coping mechanisms reach their fail point. Here's the thing. The world is not a just place, much though we wish it to be. Bad things happen, as we've all witnessed this week. To blame any category of vaper is neither helpful nor honest. We are better than this.
I always knew you had talons Little Birdie. :D Excellent post. I've seen several people lash out the past few days either in anger or frustration at the FDA. They have all been resolved quickly and amicably. Some confusion of the difference between subohming and cloud chasing (in the cereal islez at Wally World)?

It's not about saving the children and it's not necessarily about making our lives safer. It's about preserving the revenue for big tobacco, who are paying tobacco settlement payments to the states. BT has to make profits to pay out billions left in the agreement that extends to 2025 or so.
We're intelligent people here, and we KNOW it's not about saving the children and making our lives safer. My problem with all the rhetoric and BS is that I don't NEED or WANT the government to make my life safer. As a responsible adult, that is up to me. I've had it just about up to my eyeballs with the gubment telling me how I can live my life. It's NOT their business!!!

This has probably already been mentioned, I am terrible about not going back and reading everything. But has anyone noticed that new attys are coming out so fast and reviewers are reviewing stuff like crazy. So far watched reviews on Theorem, Avacado, KF v3 sounds like the v5 is going to be hard to come by. Slotted SS coils just tons of stuff coming out. Also heard the SXQ has been shipped to the vendors. So for now it is definately business as usual only speeded up.

Well they took care of that here no vaping in public places or within 25' of a door.
. Some confusion of the difference between subohming and cloud chasing (in the cereal islez at Wally World)?
Sub ohming just means that you vape a coil that is less than 1 ohm. For example temp control devices frequently vape very low ohm coils because of the lowered resistance of the different wire (SS, Ni etc). They are doing it on a regulated device that is not going to fire a bad coil and hence has no more risk than an above 1 ohm coil on a P1. In fact the vapor production may or may not be any higher.

The cloud chaser in the cereal isle are frequently (but not always) pushing the boundaries of what is safe. They are more what I call sport vapers. How much can I get away with types.

To lump both together and put ALL the blame of FDA deeming onto ALL subohm vapers is just grossly wrong. Deeming in itself has nothing to do with Subohm vaping IMHO. It is about money and crony capitalism as well as ANTZ.

The Cereal isle how much can I get away with types do not help the vapers cause(As they provide a convenient target for ANTZ) but they did not cause the deeming.

I felt like the 2 ml capacity of the KFL mini V3 wasn't enough for me either. It helped me resist getting one. The V5 is def on my radar.

And the wacko's are gunna start carryin' doors.
That gives me a new business idea, I'll go door to door selling Doors. A door to door Door salesman. Cuz everybody likes The Doors, right? Oh, wait, you meant the other kind of doors. Well now it sounds like a stupid idea, I mean if I have to knok on their door, then obviously they already have a door, so what good does it do to go door to door asking 'em if they want to buy a door?

And...OK, now I'm just getting a little goofy, must be the nic buzz from accidentally the wrong juice (ie high nic meant for my tootle puff gear) in my Simba. 18mg nic in a tank with .5ohm coils at 28 watts, yeah, that'll make ya dizzy. Next time I mix I should use different bottles to diferentiate my high nic juice from my low, since apparently I can't be bothered to actually read the label I put on the bottle.

I totally agree! However, we are a family and families will have pointless squabbles (only pointless depending on who's side of the squabble you are on). I love my family on the porches and value all opinions.
I haven't been online a lot and have only been able to keep up on the front porch. If you have been paying attention to the news, you know there have been some rather severe storms and tornados here in Oklahoma. When the storms roll through the barometric pressure changes and it really plays havoc with my pain levels. So I have been spending time making juice and clearing out my wimp cellar and keeping it cleaned out. It has the tendency to seep water through the small stress lines on the floor. One of these days I will remember to seal the floor when we have a good stretch of clear weather.
Very sorry to hear that Diver. Hope the bad weather has passed you by and allowed the pain to subside. Stay safe.
Innokin, Joyetech and maybe Kanger are the 3 I would expect to POSSIBLY have the bankroll to keep Something on the market through the PMTA process of the the major Chinese manufacturers.

On the US side Halo and Njoy would be my picks. That is assuming the FDA doesnt just slap down anything NJoy applies for out of spite for the original decision.
Isn't Johnson Creek owned by BT now?
Be safe, Diver! Ivm sorry you are having pain issues. It's no fun at all!

I just got over the last round of iv steroids & have the 2nd round in my infusion this Thursday. So...STEROID ALERT!!!.

I got home about 7 tonight. Got unpacked & everything unpacked & put away. Really going to miss those 3 clowns I was staying with, tho. I have a bed to myself tonight. [emoji20]
Glad you are home! Don't worry about the STEROID ALERT!!! Folks here are familiar with it and the general ECF population should have STEROID ALERT!!! stamped on their foreheads right now. You'll look like the calm one.
Well 'us' Provari owners sure hope so. But Provape put up a post in the Provape forum area saying even for them the future is uncertain.
I saw that. :( They would not have that many products to put through the process though. Guess we'll find out how dedicated they are. Hope they try, unless the process turns out to be futile with other companies.
The future IS uncertain until the FDA action is examined and taken apart by Congress. There's a good chance that Congress will take our petitions and our comments seriously and see what the deeming action is all about. Anyone with common sense and a knowledge of the history of big tobacco and the vaping industry will realize that it's an action designed to lessen or remove competition with big tobacco.

It's not about saving the children and it's not necessarily about making our lives safer. It's about preserving the revenue for big tobacco, who are paying tobacco settlement payments to the states. BT has to make profits to pay out billions left in the agreement that extends to 2025 or so.
 I think most of us are well aware of that, it's just really creepy every time I see it in print.
I've been keeping an eye on the Provape specials section since I realized they occasionally slip a new blem 2.5 in with different colors. Today, it paid off when a blue one showed up for $29.95. I snatched one up. Almost bought a stainless steel one for $39.95 the other day but decided to hold off. Glad I did since I've regretted not getting a blue one when they had so many colors available a few weeks back. Bingo!

I now have a full-sized 2.5 in Zinkote gun metal, a satin silver (gray) mini and the blue one on the way. I not only love the devices but they give me some comfort in these unsure times because of their reputation for durability.
The seem to put the most blems up on a Tuesday but at least once on a Thursday, I think. I check several times a day just because I'm curious and to see how fast they sell out. It's fast, sometimes just hours.
Well they took care of that here no vaping in public places or within 25' of a door.
You should see all the crap they just passed here, 25' from a door would be luxurious. :(

I was deliberately skipping those companies with BT connections. It goes without saying that if anything can get through those with connections probably have the best shot at it. How many of us would buy from them though? I was looking at companies I would trust.

They have 90 days to release new products then all innovation shuts down. No new products. But existing products as of, what it it? August 10 or something? Can remain on the market for 2 years while paperwork is filed, coffers emptied, and that is still no guarantee a device (general term not just a mod - everything) will be approved. One more year waiting for approval (if filed) and whamo, poof, gone. No can sell.

If I have this wrong, please feel free to correct me. This is way I understand it. And during that 2-3 years, states are free to wreck havoc on us.

August 8 is the date as it is 90 days not 3 months.

The rest is probably accurate though some questions have been raised about shipping issues and other manufacturing permits that might be required in the thread on the deeming.
