oh dang Mike, that pic is heartbreaking.
Well I wrapped a coil, and wicked the new KF yesterday. I removed those screws and like the way it hits!I just took out the adjustment screws and it only opened the draw up a little bit and I saw no increase in leaking or anything. Might try it.
Hey as long as there is no scissors or sticks involved, where someone could poke an eye out, your good!Ohh I did it. I am an electronics tech and monitored the voltage with a Fluke DMM and the temp on the first few charges with an infrared thermometer. They barely got above room temp and the little ego charging circuit got no hotter than when charging an ego. I compared them. I have about 10 of the little elcheapo ego chargers.
voltage is voltage and current is current. I had a 1 amp fuse in the input of the battery and the input of the ego charger.
They started out charging at about 450 ma and tapered down as they got close to 4.1 where they tripped off.
I was charging 3.7 nom volts lion batteries in both cases so as long as no overcurrent out of the ego charger to cook it then all is fine.
It is basically the same charging circuit as in built into many mods.
I have always gotten nauseated just hearing the music at the start of those soap operas, I just never saw any fun in watching other people screw up there lives in reality, let alone watch someone fake it, lol.Acting out not surprising at all. I noticed while still in high school that people who watch soap operas all day begin to exhibit the same bad behaviors, & drama in their own lives, leaving innocent bystanders, that do not fixate themselves on those shows, in shreds. Now days it's big brother or various housewives shows. They mess up their own lives & the lives of everyone around them. I detest those kinds of shows.
haveeee you ever ever ever in yur notta drama life, seen a notta drama man with a notta drama wife...... everybody sing!!Im a notta drama guy, who found a notta drama wife!

I was thinking of something along the same lines, was thinking of using the charging circuit in this link,
http://www.varitube.com/YiHi-9V-Balancing-Charger-Board_p_179.html
to build a little battery charger for the road, any thoughts, or prayers ?
That's horrific! That's what it looks like here (our local area which is harder hit than other places), but that looks slightly worse. The county put an ad in the local paper saying either homeowners cut their dead and dying trees down or the county would and put a lien on the property. Most people here are poor. Now they are out cutting down trees themselves and someone is going to die. Hope they are rethinking that policy. One person had 20 trees felled around their house, cost $30,000, and they still had to have the timber hauled off.Sure hope that helps with the beetle battle. The devastation from the Pine Beetle we saw last month in Colorado was akin to see acres and acres of damage from a forest fire. Sometimes when we looked out over the valley or mountain side, there were more dead pines than living pines. Just awful.

would never have imagine that once, let alone twice, this would have been needed here hehehe
Did you have any elevation gain/loss while driving? Changes in air pressure can make a tank leak like that. Happens all the time to me when we go to the next largest town to shop. 1,5000' elevation difference each way. If that is the case, there are ways to minimize it.Well I wrapped a coil, and wicked the new KF yesterday. I removed those screws and like the way it hits!
Went through almost a whole tank of ejuice, no leaks, just great flavorful vaping all day long.
~And then~
I took the KF with me in the truck, life was good for about 150 miles, then it started leaking like a sieve out of the air holes, and gurgling really bad! All I can figure is maybe it don’t like all that vibration ? Tossed it in a ziploc bag and grabbed the KT sub tank mini which seems to love the truck rides. Gonna perform a biopsy on the KF in a few, and see if I can figure out what the problem is.

Good to know, I hate it when all the text comes out an inch high. What I've learned to do is write the whole post and then go back and highlight what text I want to change. Only changes the highlighted part. Usually.haveeee you ever ever ever in yur notta drama life, seen a notta drama man with a notta drama wife...... everybody sing!!
I tried, but I just couldn't resist
Yeah I can't stand those shows either. BUT.......I did just figger out how to go back to regular text after you change it. Cuz if you try to put it back manually.....the font is off sized. But, if you type whatchya wanna type, and in this case it would still be in the little purple font........then highlight it and click the Tx thingy up ^ there on the right, it puts it back to normal. Only been lookin for that since the changover. lol
Mr Word man......sorry your KF couldn't take the road trip. But glad you have something that does do well in the truck.

How is the kayfun modified? Just curious if it would be something I could do, I'm pretty handy.Have I mentioned how much I love the Kabuki and PlasmAir toppers?
Since I started vaping, I've been searching for a mod/topper combo that would give me lots and lots of flavor. One that would have me say, "Done." Everyone's different, and many folks had great suggestions. I tried all of 'em! Our china cabinet has both mods and toppers in it that I was sure would be the answer. Attys with stock coils from 1.8 to .15 ohms. Attys with single, dual and even one quad coil build. Smooshed, spaced, Clapton coils -- tried them. And mods to run all this stuff. It's a miracle I didn't burn the house down!
This past week, I discovered the PlasmAir, a KFL+ V2 that's modded for additional airflow (among other things). And I discovered the Kabuki tank by House of Hybrids. With both toppers, I've been able to run at 12-14 watts and get flavor galore. Atop a P3, perfection. Finally, I think I'm done.
I think it's very cool that there are so many options for vapers, and I'm delighted when folks find their sweet spot. Now, I've found mine. Woot! I am one very happy LittleBird!
That's all. Thank you for listening, as all y'all so graciously do.![]()
Ooh, ooh, Are you sure that he doesn't want to get away from it all by moving to rural North Dakota??
I hate not being able to do things that I have always done for myself. And for a rural/farming area it seems really hard to find anyone to hire. I suppose they're over busy with friends and relatives. I've got one electrical connection left to get the dishwasher going, but It will have to be while Liz is here so she can either spot for me so I can go a couple of steps up on a ladder despite balance issues, or she can climb up to make the connection while I stay on the floor and talk her through it.
.
My Nitecore has a jack in the back for 12v coaxial power plug but, of course I didn't get the adapter with it. They are supposed to come with it these days.I would just get a charger that runs off of 12 volts. I would not want to haul a homebrew charger around in a truck with me. Mine just stayed on my workbench as I did not put it in a case or anything.
Maybe this one but I am not sure if it comes with the 12V cord or not?
https://www.imrbatteries.com/nitecore-i2-intellicharger-2014/
I don't think it does come with the cord and did not see one on their site. However they have a couple more on there that come with a cig lighter plug.
The one you linked to is not a good choice for you to use.
Quit eating hotdogs when I found out what they were made of.
Husband showed this to me. It's OT but with all the talk we've done here about 3D printing, I thought some of you would find it interesting. http://www.voanews.com/content/thre...-devices-trap-tree-damaging-bugs/3018934.html
I'm outta the mod, into the charger; outta the charger, into the china cabinet. My collection of batteries defies logic! Prolly I should put a "first used" date on each one, but I'm pretty sure I'd just ignore it anyway!
What a load of frass!Unfortunate, but interesting info.
Besides, it expanded my vocabulary. One is never too old to learn some new frass (in article)!
Ohh man too OCD for me.Mike always numbers the batteries. He's got a spreadsheet listing all the batteries and when they were purchased. When we put one in the charger we take a fresh one from the top of the stack and and put the newly charged one at the back of the stack. He's pretty .... that way, but it's working for us. He can tell you exactly how many days old any given battery is...

Yaaayyyy!! Nothing like hitting that perfect setup, is there? Good for you, LB!!Have I mentioned how much I love the Kabuki and PlasmAir toppers?

Elevation has a definate impact on the Davides. Don't use Kayfuns so can't speak to that. You have to disassemble the tank to adjust the wicking though don't you? That would fix the pressure problem in the tank.My kayfuns also randomly leak like that in the vehicle, I first thought it was altitude of going up and down the mountain roads but that isn't true since I can drive mountain passes without it leaking. My best guess to the leaking is the vibration of the vehicle or a good solid bump dislodges the wicking and covers the juice channel causing the leak. I come home, readjust the wicking and its good to go again.
Any decent charger will re-evaluate da batt charge upon charger power up; ergo, no max charge output initially.
But keep in mind dat:
I toss a low batt from my in-use PV into da charger.
I also pull a batt from da charger and insert into a PV fer immediate use.
I leave a charging batt in da charger while dreaming of younger days.
I don't steep my jooses.
I don't use needles on syringes.
I can pass up a great $ale if I don't need da item.
I luv mayo on my hot dogs...

Ohh man too OCD for me.
I was thinking of something like this but downscaled for 18650 batteries....

Might rout one out of some wood for the side panels....
Looks like a 3D printer project to me. Could sell em.
Oooohhhhh that would so work! All mine are noted with vendor, & numbered & dated. Covered all that with tape to protect it. I just rotate them in numerical order.Ohh man too OCD for me.
