I sat down today and figured out how much 100 mg nic I will need for the rest of my life. I need to review my calculations. Anyone? 20 years at 15 ml of three mg juice daily.
3.25 liters?
How much 100 mg/ml nic to last 20 years at 15 ml of 3mg each day?
15 ml * 3 mg/ml = 45 mg/day
1 liter of 100 mg/ml = 100,000 mg
100,000/45 = 2,222 days per liter
2,222/365 = 6 years per liter
20 years/6 = 3 1/2 (3.333333) liters of 100 mg/ml nic
Remember that doomsday is most likely at least two years away. Just keep your ears open.
Yes and no. State and local governments are passing laws willy nilly. So, bad stuff could happen a lot faster. Or, not at all. Who knows?
In the meantime, I've had enough to probably last the rest of my life for a while now. I may pick up a little more even. But, I've decided not to stress about it any more than I can help. I realized that stressing about it may just make me not need to stock up at all (not living long enough for it to matter).
Thanks to Dancing Heretik's help finding a place that would package a liter in smaller bottles so I don't have to try handling/re-bottling 100 mg nic with my bad hands I got my first (so far only) liter from MFS in 125 g bottles - I bought the bottles when I bought the nic. MFS not only bottled it in the smaller bottles, they also completely labeled each bottle and shipped them with the caps taped shut and each bottle wrapped in bubble wrap and then put in a zip-lock bag. So I just put them in the freezer that way. Since that's my long term freezer I don't think they're getting too much light exposure.
Wow, they really went above and beyond. I think I may just drop them a Thank You note to let them know how much it's appreciated. Very kind and considerate. And pretty good PR too.

I'm not quite sure about figuring out how much I need, though, since I just opened my third 125 mg bottle in almost exactly a year that would mean I only used 1/4 liter during the year. Now I did have 3 months of not vaping thanks to my incarceration in the nursing home after breaking my ankle, so that would still only come out to actually using 3/8 of a liter per year. Since I mix my base at 25 mg/ml and end up at 20-24 mg/ml. By my figures then I would only be vaping 1-3 ml/day, and I know that I use more than that. I go through one full sized Nautilus, one Davide and one mini protank every day so that should be more like 9-10 ml/day.
I'm confused, and too tired for more arithmetic tonight, especially involving fractions.
You've used 250 ml in 9 months of actual vaping.
250 ml / 9 * 12 = 333.33333 ml/yr of 100 mg/ml nic
Since you use a little under 25 mg/ml strength, you vape about 4 ml/day and need about 1/3 liter of 100 mg/ml nic per year.
And, for 20 years would need almost 7 liters.
Did I do that right? That seems like so much! Maybe I'm just too tired right now.
