I'm quite aware that nothing major is likely to happen, except perhaps a drastic rise in prices. And, even that wouldn't likely be long term.

Yet . . . .

I've seen our government take away more and more rights. They've done things that I would have sworn could never happen. Combine that with the fact that I was raised to always stock and prepare (grandmother raised during Depression) and the fact that I have gone hungry, had no place to sleep, and been unable to see a doctor when I needed one.

Yup, I get a bit paranoid at times. That's just me. I fight it because I feel it's a sign of greed (plus, perhaps a bit crazy). I try to temper it the best I can because it leads to serious anxiety (which also is in my nature and contributes).

I've just been having a slightly harder time 'shaking it off' lately.

I know it'll be alright. I don't always FEEL that way. But, I do KNOW that we'll get through this.

Not mine but...

When I finally had the money to buy one of those and went to buy it, they were gone! They stopped carrying them. They really are pretty cool.
Relax! We ain't going anywhere. I would hope that we could get that assurance from the powers that be. I do have a bit of a concern on that front myself. Regardless, it would be up to us whether we lose touch or not. Easy enought to set up a small forum. A big one like this not so much but something with 100 folks easy/peasy. I could do it and I am not all that tech savvy these days.
Yup, a small forum even I could set up and take care of (VERY small).

Everyone likes what they like, but I'm curious why you're so against mechs? Not arguing, for instance, lots of folks love certain tube mechs, and you couldn't pay me to use one, but a reo I'm fine with and feel totally safe with. So just curious.
I just don't want the risk, don't want the limits of a Kick. If I get any mech's I might go REO's but if I go there it means more atty's & more vape crap, plus I have squonk isses. Although the bottles you mention would help that.. I'm trying hard to get settled in with my gear & use my money for other things. Like life, living, & of course Dr's. I've got my Kayfuns decided on. Got my DIY going. Working on mods, & batt's. I'd like a break from the monthly shopping list for vaping. Smoking was easy, this needs to get that way, too. I'm getting tired of it.

99.99% of the time I use one tank, one flavor of DIY eliquid at one strength, and one mod. Once you find good enough you are done.

Everything else is fluff.

This tiny echo chamber has y'all turning into Henny Penny.

I Know there is nothing I can do to help those of you suffering from paranoia and other disorders to get through whatever it is that has y'all so worried.

Just watch out for the foxes.
You're totally right, Boden. You aren't helping. Buh bye.

Please don't take this wrong, I am not trying to make light of people's feelings, but just because I am paranoid does not mean they aren't out to get me. We see more and more of our constitutional rights stripped away piece by piece, it doesn't hurt to be prepared and have a plan in place.

Why not just save the Janet's Riders for your Vapocalypse stash? No, the batteries wouldn't last. But, they'ld be a great starter kit for someone. An almost eGo-sized VV stick with replaceable batteries.

Nope - the Riders aren't something we need in the future ... whatever the future holds. I though about passing them along for starter setups ... but then the person would need to purchase a batt charger for the 14500s. I think something like an Ego-1 or iStick 40 is a better starter setup.

The only thing I'm holding onto are a 4 Sigelei Zmax mini's a couple full size ones and 2 Nemy Clones. These just never get used so i consider my vapepocolypse stash. I'll likely get rid off of the full size Zmax's because I have custom tube extensions for the mini's to use either 18490's or 18650's.

90% of my vaping is done w/ a Provari P3 and a Radius both topped w/ KFLV4s. Janet's been lenient with my purchases so just sitting about for occasional use I can chose from 5 Super-T's, 2 Poldiacs, and a Nemisis for mech vaping and from 3 other Provari's, a VaporShark DNA40, and a bunch of Chinese box mods. (And this is just my stuff). So I'm not really looking to buy more PV's even with the upcoming 'Deeeming' looming over our heads. (oops, not quite right .. after the holidays early next year I'm looking to get another Radius ... then I'm done honest!).

Oh yeah ... I've got enough enclosures, boards, parts, wire, switches, etc. to build 4 DNA40 mods. But I lost my desire for temp control devices so these may never get built.

Found the email... it ended at midnight last night... Oh well.

You didn't miss much ... as usual for their head sales ... you were limited to 2 packs per type ordered.

Recommendation/caution:

I have several telescopic mech PVs to insure I have 'room' fer my batt and a Kick in da tube. There are very few PVs set up fer Kicks.

Actually Iffy, most tube mechs will take a kick if you switch to the 'next size down' for the batt. Like an 18650 tube, use an 18490 batt, an 18490 batt use a 18350 batt along w/ the kick.

Well, that's great to know. I tried some 18650 tubes a few years ago and had issues. Your info will sure help out da 'mech cautious'!

It is NOT a mech. I will not have a mech. Period. I'm repeating myself.
welllllll I have mech mods and am buying a couple of these this weekend
WISMEC OLED Screen VW Mod Control Head
I also have a couple of other / smaller ones that are VV.
that way I don't have to worry about mech problems.
but feel free to repeat yourself as much as you want. we still love you.

Something like this?

eGo Variable voltage USB pass-through

Not continuously variable, but steps...
They have gone up in price... 1.5 years ago, I got my 3 for $5. NOT at slowtech.

We all have our own set of likes. I like to change flavors. Often. So I have a half dozen or so mods with different flavors going at all times. Another form of "good enough."

And, imo, we all like a little fluff now and then (as long as I don't have to go to aquarium fluff! ).

The problem ECF might have is if vendors couldn't advertise on here anymore.
that's true, but geeze, we just got her calmed down!

Worst case scenario, start a new porch on some other forum host. I can't live without you guys.
that works!! we'll get matt and dancin right on that should ECF ever go b'bye

you'll get there sweetie. It's so great. I found my nirvana, have a couple atties I like......I do eventually want to get at least one more derringer clone, and need some batts and a new charger, but other than that, there's not a single thing I need or really want til I run outta sumpthin.

Not too sure about that Dancing.... You build a low coil and up the watts. So, logic aside, if you use a low battery, you would need a high resistance coil.
The way it SEEMS to work is that the higher resistance, the more heat is generated per watt. The resistance of the electricity trying to go through the metal causes the heat.
I get as confused as anyone regarding Ohm's Law, but watts increase as resistance decreases.

A mech is like a fine cigar or a good scotch on the rocks. The 1st taste is different then the last taste but good to the end.
Another philosopher in our midst.

Suggestion... stash away all your old/broken eGos/subsequent PVs/hardware/parts.

If da worst becomes reality, there will be a resurgence of homemade designs that will blossom. Think back to several years ago when our ECF members were experimenting for a better vape. Da only reason very few continue building today is da convenience and relatively low costs fer current available devices.
You're a hoarder enabler.

I keep seeing sub-tanks advertised. After knowing how much you and Myrany like them, I thought I'ld try one. But, there are lots of kinds, it seems. So, it's the Kanger STM that's so good and easy to build on, right?
I've only tried two subtanks but if I had tried the Kanger Subtank first I'd only have tried one. (The Aspire Atlantis v1 did not float my boat.)

Well said!!

We each have our own good enough.
I just hope that each of us has the wisdom to know when we have found it.

Nirvana is a marketing myth.

I can't have a single PV with a atty and vape that all the time. I have to have variety along with several mods going at once. I always have 4-6 mods with attys infront of me all with different juices. I won't get into the pile of mechs I have in the drawers but regularly use my old K100 (my very first mech buy), brass sentinel and my Sigelei#20/chiyou frakenvape. Those mechs all have had kicks in them but have since stopped using kicks and have a bunch of kicks both used and new still around, I enjoyed my term using kicks and might rehatch them again.
My only need now is to improve the vape quality of the gear I have. I have all the building supplies, juice supplies and flavors to keep me going for a long time but there is always something innovative that could catch my interest and make my wife roll her eyes at me...again. She benefits most from some of my gear buys, the first kanger subtank was for her so she put the PT2 down, now we have 6 of them. The 2 TFV4 kit buys were for me and from using the finicky TFV4, it won't stand up to her taking it to work without it leaking from filling it.
My only issue is keeping my wife tootle puff vaping with a hassle free setup, it use to be provari/protank and now has turned into IStick50/subtank. I musta done something right since all I hear out of my wife is "I think this has a burnt taste" every couple weeks and I have a vape and almost choke at how burnt her coil is.

FYI...for those with a TFV4 and having it randomly leak when your filling it. I have a solution so far that has worked for me. When you twist the top cap to fill and see the U shaped fill, look at it and you see a shiny juice film inside the U shape. You have to remove that film by tissue or blowing down before you begin to fill. I assume that film causes a airlock in which makes the juice pour out the airflow. I haven't had a leak since I began to blow out the film.
I also find that the TFV4 can't be laid down or tilted in a cupholder in the car either or it can randomly leak also, weird but so far since I haven't had a leak as long as the atty is sitting straight.

Reference my comments about you can't vape off of a USB directly. These wouldn't work except they're powered by the cigarette lighter that connects almost directly off the car battery that has PLENTY OF power.

I actually have 12 different mods in front of me with 12 different flavors.

Game time:D

Deserted island (with an outlet :2cool:)

Pick one power supply, one atty and one eliquid.
