Well I pulled the trigger on some DIY stuff, vg, pg, nic, various syringes, couple of flavors all just under 50 bucks. Normally I spend about 70 a month on joose.

I think you will enjoy DIY. MUCH cheaper and make what you want not what someone wants to sell ya. And yes some mixes will not turn out so good. Just keep good track of the ingredients so when one works well you can replicate it.

I'm keeping it simple for sure, just raspberry & blueberry at first then maybe some RY4 experiments down the road.
I started with those two myself. No RY4 for me. Don't like it.
Once you get into more complex flavors, like Robert said, keep track. My latest effort is just a substitution of one flavor from my flamingo tutu tropical cherry. And it's just as good. I substituted the black cherry for the blueberry.

OK, evening chores, dinner, and part of a movie are done, so I'm back here in the dungeon now...
the caravella has a center pin in the top doesn't it?
I think I saw one before Lannie "stored" them all for a rainy day (read that as Vapocolypse). I'd go look but I don't know where she hid them.
To make my holes accurate i wrapped tape around the mod and carefully measured and marked for all my holes.
And I STILL got one slightly off level with the other 2. But by doing 3 you only see 2 at a time so it does not show
I would think it goes without saying (or at least it should) that one puts masking tape around the mod and marks the holes to be drilled carefully, not just to get them in the right place but to avoid screwing up the finish during the drilling and sanding/buffing (elimination of any possible spurs). I assume from the second line here that you spaced the three holes evenly around the mod as opposed to putting all three on one side as in the picture LowJumper showed, n'est ce pas?

I think the idea is to have the holes pointing away from your chin when vaping!

Spent the afternoon with my brother. It feels so strange when he asks me for help. He's the expert at everything. He can make or fix anything. Electrical, computers, woodwork, plumbing, cars & motorcycles, the list goes on and on.

But, he doesn't keep up with vape-related stuff. He gets majorly annoyed if vaping is any more trouble than just smoking. But, he's finding himself using his pipe (regular tobacco pipe) more and more. He's become dissatisfied with dripping on a 306. He's been doing it for almost 5 years now. Apparently, it's time for a change.

Recently, I've had him try EMDCCs and the non-Nautilus Aspire BVCs.

So, he handed me his keyboard and mouse and asked me to do some quick research on what would be best, find where to buy it, and order it for him. He just entered the cc info, and done.

So, it's the Nautilus Mini for him. I hope he likes it. If not, next stop is the Subtank.

The Nauty is a decent choice for him to try next. What PV does he use?

Yes I spaced the holes evenly around the circumference of the mod.

Subtank Mini I would think? The standard one is a big bugger.

Well how's 'bout 'dat ... I never saw or a Provari w/ those slots. But going to the Provape site, sure enough ... the pictures of P 2.5s all have 'em.
Told ya. :sneaky: I have a fuzzy memory of people commenting that they were getting provaris with the outer vent holes and some were not about the time I ordered my first. That was in February or 2014. Now they're doing box meds. My how time flies.
It is not for heat dissipation but for gasses venting from an abused or substandard battery. The battery is designed to vent gasses around the positive post so venting closest to that end of the battery is best. 3 1/16 holes should be fine to prevent explosion. If you mod ever starts hissing and blowing out the vent holes get rid of it. If you quickly can unscrew one end and sling the battery out or just throw the entire thing out side or somewhere. Not in water though.

Not all batteries that vent will explode. But assume that they can.

Watched a vid in a thread on here yesterday about a guy that had a 35 amp purple Efest vent on him at 15 amps in a regulated mod.
He repeated it with another identical battery at 15 amps... He threw it outside and it apparently blew and he did not know where it went.
I'll bite, why not in water? I assume more likely to explode but it's a thermal runaway. I have read where some threw it in water and no major venting. Batteries/mods I use, I'm not worried about, but...
Just saw this in the battery section and thought it would help.
Bad really knows his, um, stuff, about batteries. Nice post. :)
Battery can still pretty much explode or at leadt be a very fast projectile even if not enclosed in a mod.
So if they start to vent get rid of them. And if one ever hisses at you get rid of it and never use it again either even though it cools off and charges, etc.
Amen. :nun:

I’m crushed, David Bowie died tonight from cancer. I died a little too.

Anybody else smoke/vape a little harder when you listened to his music (okay some of it was a little weird, but still)? I used to smoke like an industrial chimney listening to my favorite rock ‘n’ roll. Bowie always left me in a better place after his songs started than before. He was 69. They do not make them like they used to: Seemed like such a cliché such a short time ago.

We watched The Martian recently and were instantly smitten not only with the movie but with the music. Didn’t realize this was an old Bowie song (1972?). Dare you not to vape listening to it.

Not sure. But I heard somewhere that lithium and water do not react well.
Will research. Could be wrong. Maybe if it is just real hot and not actively venting water is ok but if venting not a good idea?

According to a tabloid cover at Krogers yesterday Cher is dying too. I did not know either one of them though so an extremely minimal impact on me.

I'll tell ya one thing: If a battery ever hisses at me, that battery will find itself in a deep grave before it can hiss twice! Oh, listen, I talk so big... no, what would REALLY happen is I would throw it at Rich and tell HIM to do something about it!

Sorry, they're in the "thing" in the living room with all the rest of my vape stash (non juice/flavor stuff). And yes, they have a center pin. Karen says it's adjustable, but I don't know how to adjust it yet. It worked with my iSub G tank as-is, so I guess it's "pre-adjusted" to use with a standard tank? I still have studying to do, which is why they're "put away" for now. ;)

I suppose that is one way to get rid of me. "Here, honey, take this battery while it explodes." Thank you dear...

Then would I get all your mods? :pervy: A girl can never have too many shinies (even if some of 'em aren't precisely shiny).

Well I'm not worried about these VTC5's anymore. I got almost 27000J off of one which is all I get off of the HG2's the HG's are 3000Mah and VTC's are 2600 Mah so no problem there. I won't be trying them out for max amps which are supposed to be good for 35amps surge. I'll never be using that much but pretty impressive for 2600Mah.
