Just a thought, but does anybody besides me think it might help our vaping cause if somber even one of these organizations like CASAA would put out some positive infomercial on vaping. Kinda like a Vaper talking to a smoker about there journey to being smoke free and how good they now feel. ?? As I said just a thought I had and thought I would share.:):smokie::firefox:

I think that'd be great, Subway! I'd love to see something positive associated with vaping in the "media for da masses". Seriously, they grab celebrities for everything else... why not have some of the more prominent celebrities who vape do a little promotion? I know that Norman Reedus vapes and he's got quite a following now from "The Walking Dead" show. I know there are many others as well.

I do like your idea of an infomercial type thing, too. It could focus more on the story, as you said. There are a lot of things that could be done to improve the public's image of vaping. Are there restrictions preventing it, or some other reason?

I don't know what the lack of positive info is about Kaz. Going to have to ask on a separate Thread and see what comes to light. ;) Very good point though

@LittleBird I've been looking into the Billet Bridge a little bit more. It appears that total length cannot exceed 35mm in order to work with the BB, and there's no need to worry about threading as far as the BB is concerned. I'll have to wait until I get home to get the dimensions of the cCells. Question is; are you okay with running a 0.9Ω kanthal coil in the BB? I'm currently running mine at 27.5W; which is 4.94V (according to the display on the Target).

Let me know what you find out? I'm just curious as to whether or not there is some legislation already in place that is preventing it. It wouldn't surprise me if there were. Anti-anythings are a sneaky bunch...

Will do Kaz, I posted it as a separate Thread to see what others way in on the topic and see if it leads me to other areas or folks that might even lead to an answer or just maybe some Media that our side of things has lacked;) Anyway the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked and not known;):w00t::lol:

Dunno, but since cig commercials are banned, could be that's a problem. They'd have to mention smoking.

Valid point there gary, however don't they have Chantex commercials or Nicolette gum commercials?? And I can't recall the commercials exactly but I would think they have to mention smoking at some point??
But a valid point to ponder none the less

True, and good point. Maybe, just maybe something will turn up and we'll start seeing more positive things on the vaping frontier!

That thought has crossed my mind as well... but they did used to have commercials on TV for cig-a-likes. I haven't seen any in a little while though...

I'm pretty sure you can't go that low with a BB. Bret Ohman, who makes the Kangaroo, said not to use anything below 1.2 ohms on the Rev3. There's a new BB, though, the Rev4, that has a DNA40 board in it, and it can go sub ohm, TC, blah blah :). Don't have one, yet ...

Yup. They do, but who's really behind them? Big pharma and BT have a pile of money for the lobbyists to throw around.

I've seen commercials for Vuse (is that right) quite recently. They don't mention cigs, tho. Chantix, patches and gum are all regulated by the FDA, so it's ok to broadcast those *%^€! ah, er, wonderful inventions that have such an overwhelmingly positive impact!.

Well, that stinks. The 0.9Ω Kanthal cCells are the highest resistance available for those heads. I guess I'm so used to mechanical mods that I hardly consider 0.9Ω to even be sub-ohm any more. I'm getting better, but I still rarely go above 0.6Ω. Too much time playing around in the 0.2-0.3Ω range I guess.

I know. When I was building for my squonkers, my typical build was dual coils, .4 ohms. Sometimes .5. Now I mostly build in the 1.2-1.5 range, perfect for my tootle puffing ways :)

Oh. I did, PS and BTW, say "yet"....

I just did a few more calculations, and I'd think that the 0.9Ω cells would still be okay. At 5V it would only be drawing around 5.5A, which should be well within the tolerance and capabilities of the batteries in the BB. I wonder why they are saying to not go below 1.2Ω. The Rev3 is basically just a mechanical box with a potentiometer to vary the voltage, right?

Me too. Dual coils on all of my mechs and rebuildables. I'm reading 0.58 in the Stumpy right now with a single NiChrome coil; and that's a bit higher than I'm used to, but the regulated board is handling it very nicely. Actually the best and most flavorful vape I've had in a while! :D

Ahhhh... and yes, yes you did. Which means that if I can manage to work it out, you'd be able to use it with the Rev4! :D :D :D

Sorry... a potentiometer is the little wheel that you turn to increase or decrease the voltage output. It is a type of analog voltage regulator. Sometimes my electronics background makes me forget to explain things.
