I hardly ever come to this thread any more, simply because reading everything on the Back Porch is sufficient for almost all my purposes.

But, I wanted to let fellow DIY joose-makers that as of this morning I have a new favorite flavoring, FlavourArt Vanilla Classic. I mixed it at 9% flavoring. Although I haven't yet tried it in combination with any other flavor, I'm confident it will blend well with just about anything.

I won't see any questions or responses unless you quote part or all of this post, due to the first sentence.

My purple beeswax arrived! So much more solid than I imagined beeswax to be, and really neatens up my desk! Polish!
wahooooooo!!! Do we get pics, or not so much? I get it if it's not so much.

kewl! But that's pretty high for an FA single flavor. Did you start lower at all, or just try that because you were used to higher %'s with TFA?

What's good about it? I love vanilla creme pudding juice, and am trying to perfect (well, that'd be a bit of a stretch) a recipe. Tell me more, tell me more, tell me more :)

I've been using FA flavors for a good two years, so I'm accustomed to them. Yes, the Vanilla Classic at 9% is strong, but not overly strong. My tendency is to start high and dilute with unflavored nic juice if necessary.

FA Vanilla Classic is the only one, so far, out of about 100 flavors I've tried that gives me no chemical taste at all, and I knew this before I used it to make joose, because of my method of pre-taste-testing my flavors by putting about a milliliter in 6 oz of water and drinking it. Yesterday I got some FA Vanilla Tahity and FA Vanilla Bourbon. I haven't taste-tested them yet, but by smell, they'll be free of chemical taste as well. I can't say the same for the other FA flavors in my RTS Vapes order but we'll see.

@Kaezziel and @MikeE3, I have an appointment and won't be back for awhile. Would either/both of you have the time to find starter kits for Vape? (as outlined, above) from a vendor who ships to AUS?

Sorry... I had to step out for a coupla hours (okay five and a half), but I'm back now and it seems like Mike was kind enough to cover for us. :) Personally, I'd probably recommend the Vaporesso Target kit, but I'm kinda biased... :p

Vaping on a TMod Classic squonker with a velocity RDA/dual Claptons at .6ohms, just cuz I can :)

Ahhhh.... but whatcha vapin' in it? ;)

he's gonna come back and say....the flavor!! What part don'tchya unnerstand? hehehe
Well I can't say it now that you've said that's what I'll say!

So, I have to think of something else to say. Let's see... uh... OK, here goes:
The joose made with FA Vanilla Classic tastes different than the drink test. It's more complex and not as sweet. I'm thinking that MAYBE, some vanilla is used in a lot of vendor e-liquids.

The next new-to-me flavoring that I'll try is the FA Custard that came in my order yesterday, but I have no idea how long that will be from now. This morning's mix was the first time I've made new joose in 6 months, but in that time I put a serious dent in the many bottles of DIY joose that I already had on hand.

Jup! I was happy @Debadoo said it, knowing that then you wouldn't. :)

Thanks for the additional info. I'll be looking forward to hearing about both the vanilla custard and the bourbon vanilla! (hint, hint)

Dewee Boba. It's a honeydew boba tea. Very unlike what I usually vape, and very good!

Dadgummit... that reminds me, I think I have a honeydew flavor somewhere. Now I'm gonna have to dig it up and try it again. Maybe mix it with some pear and a little cream. I don't think I have any tea flavors though. :( Have you tried steeping tea in PG? I'm wondering if that might work...

Oh, one more thing about the FA Vanilla Classic:
When mixed with water and used as a drink, it tastes like vanilla.
When used in vape joose, it tastes great, but I can't say that it tastes like vanilla.

My FA Orange is the other way around. It doesn't taste like orange when mixed with water and used as a drink; in fact, it doesn't make a particularly delightful drink, but it does taste like orange when vaped.

Insert shrugging-shouldered smiley here.

hmmmm I bet that would be good. Long as it don't have them snot ball things that boba tea has in it. I don't care much for eating honeydew, but sure like a juice that I tried that had some in it.

Dunno, but a dear porcher we unfortunately lost to illness last year did a lot with making her own coffee extractions and maybe tea extractions. @Semiretired would probably know if she did teas, I think he played around with it some as well.

My tendency is to start high and dilute with unflavored nic juice if necessary.

As a new to DIYing Kat, I find this to be a VERY HELPFUL tip and one that makes perfect sense! One can always dilute with a properly ratio'd "Clear/Clean" but if you were to ADD a drop or two of this or that (flavor only) it would throw ALL of the other ratios off. Thank you bigbells!!! I'm pickin' up what you're layin' down!

I know a few others who have done similar with coffee and tobacco... I don't see why tea wouldn't work. And I'm pretty sure my Darling Wife has some pretty fancy loose leaf teas around somewhere. Surely she wouldn't mind if I snitched a pinch here or there, right? ;)

Let me say this about that, darlin' :).

First, tea goes bitter if not steeped for just the right amount of time. Folks often use less and steep longer; it doesn't work. Which brings me to point the second. Ya may well have to snitch more than a pinch to get this right. Leading straight to the conclusion of this lil ol syllogism. If yer wantin to stay "Dearest Husband" to "Darling Wife," go buy yer own tea!

An report back on yer results!

Hahahahahaha!! I can't even argue over either one of your points. Properly steeping tea of any type is a science. It is simple enough to track down the proper times for steeping any variety of tea in water; I just wonder if steeping in PG would change those steep times. Also, would heating the PG before adding the tea leaves be a good idea?

I may try snitching a pinch or two and adding to a small 30mL bottle of PG for trial purposes. I'm sure she would allow that much. Anything over that, and I believe that you are correct; I must procure my own tea! Fortunately, I buy her tea for her; so I know where she gets da good stuff. ;)
