That sounds about like me except I don't have an acid brush. What happens to me usually is at about 3 months of doing that while getting it back to perfect shape one of the legs will break from being so brittle from dry burning or they start to not have quite the flavor they used to.. That's when I change. I try to have 3 or 4 coils pre wrapped so it's a quick process. I don't think that will work with NI200 if you bump it or anything else it will loose its shape it is so soft.

I use something similar from DenTek. They come 5 to a package and each one has a cap that covers the bristles when not in use. I think they are for cleaning dentures?? Not sure.
I do have to be careful when using them.... several times I've been in too much of a hurry and melted the bristles.....lol. Makes an awful stink and also have to re-burn the coil to get rid of the residue.
They do knock off the residue after dry burning but I do with they had stiffer bristles. I know I've seen small cylindrical brushes with stiffer bristles but can't remember where.....

Oh I though they did have stiff bristles. Soft should be almost perfect as long as they are stiff enough to move the junk. I've burnt a bristle or two myself. Acid brushes have natural bristles so you get that wonderful burnt hair smell. Ooh boy!

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Well lets say the bristles are "semi stiff".... I'm easy to get along with....lol. Whatever they are, they do the job for me and I can use one forever as long as I don't cook it....
When I can't get the coil looking nice and neat with the brushes I figure it's time for a new coil. I've gone well over 3 months on one coil by taking good care of it. When I first started making coils one of my concerns was reading of people constantly making coils and I was hesitant to get involved with something so "labor intensive". Now that I have been at it for a while I see it's not necessary to put in a new coil every time you fill the atomizer......:D

Good'ay Good Folks!

Here, lemme just get this out of the way.....

yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa!

I'm finally caught up!

I'm finally caught up!

Got WAY behind during the holidays, and was determined not to quote/post until I got caught up... well, here I am. :D

Now, I can't think of anything to say.

Welcome back to the head of the pack umanbean! One thing about the porch, you miss 12 hours and you can be 10-15 pages behind. I'm scared to death of not showing up at least twice a day.

Wouldn't a simple pipe cleaner do?

I know. By the time you catch up, your 'talking' mind has long ago fallen asleep!

Welcome back!

Glad I'm not the only one. Notice that it is the boys talking. ;)

I'm a boy, and pipe cleaners are what I use too :) ...the 12" ones from Michaels (craft store). I either cut 'em in half or make three ~4" ones. The 6"ers folded in half make great clearo cleaners.

Thanks for the welcomes Ladies. Good to be back.

Not really, sometimes too big, and those coil are fragile. I like the control I get with a very small brush.

That, and too soft to break loose any hardened gunk. But very useful to vapers for cleaning, drying inside chimneys and drip tips, and so on.

With a good dry burn and cleaning when rewicking a well made coil can last a looooong time. I've had one that's been in one of my kfl for over 3 months.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

And one other clue about when to recoil. They'll all slowly go up in resistance, so when it gets to your max value, it's time.

Well, I've had it almost a month & it's still reading 1.6, & tastes good. I'm really careful when rewicking, & dry burning. Look for hot spots, etc. Yay, me!

I thunk the might be too stiff. I just use a couple of bristles on the brush to "flick" the crud off.

First off, I've used acid brushes in da various configs for decades! Pretty much impervious to common chemicals.

IMO, pipe cleaners do not have da 'mild aggressive properties' to effectively 'scrub' coil inner surfaces.

I've used 'em successfully and keep several on hand just for dat purpose. YMMV...

Hey folks. Thanks for the great responses to my questions about beginner kits. Apologies for the tardiness of my reply. The weather's been so nice here I haven't been spending too much time inside.

I have plenty of super ideas for my kits and I should be putting up my initial list for you all to check before I pull the trigger.

I did contact some "somewhat" local B&M's and they were amenable to giving a discount and some free juices for my project so also, thanks very much for that idea!

My local B&M is owned by EMT's & Police Officers. They have about 4 or 5 stores now. They give discounts to all EMT's, LEO's, Medical Professionals. I'm not impressed that they carry limited equipment. Basically nothing for rebuilding, although they sell RDA's & mods. No ohm's meter's, & no juice other than their own. Their website stinks, juice on the site is priced like premium juices, but they don't have it when you go in. I call before I bother to go there because they never have what I'm looking for.

Sure can. Doesn't even count as leg length, since that effectively ends where the kanthal first makes solid contact.

kewl thanks!

Attaboy, girl!

thanks!! Next project, investigate photo bucket and where the royalty free pics are. lol

Deb, I'm proud of you. Sounds like you're doing great, at coils anyway. I think we both need to work on this sleeping crapola.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

thanks. and no kiddin!! I was actually sleepin pretty good for about 1.5 weeks, and it was amazing how much better I felt. I was remembering things a bit better, it was fabulous. Didn't last, but wow, it was great while it did.

Of course but, we're authorized users! Or at least we damn well better be. Now they're not going to have to worry about the uniform itself, couldn't get into if you held a gun to my head. Cleaning out the closet the other day and came across my last kakhi jacket. I could get it in and even zip it up but, a good 10" of gut hung out in front. Should taken a picture.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Pleats!! lol

Sure you can. Just make sure it's tight. In coil making you can try anything you want. The coil will let you know if you did it wrong.

lol true, but......I like my eyebrows!!

Does anyone know what kind of place would carry glass bottles about 100-120ml. Preferably some type of store. I need to get about 10 and the shipping on them is more then the bottles cost. Maybe a home brewing and wine making place would. Or a pharmacy supply.

I just got a pack of these from Amazon:

712rHYftzZL._SL1380_.jpg

They're only $12.49 for the 12 pack, and have free shipping if you use Amazon Prime or a total order more than $35. They have wide necks, which is handy for pouring into, or syringing out of.

http://packagingoptionsdirect.com/120-cc-round-amber-glass-packer

Not sure about their shipping.... seemed like a pretty good price -- just have to remember to add the closures @ .09 ea.

I was gonna (and did a couple days ago) say amazon too, but wow, just put 3 pks of these in a cart, to estimate shipping, this is a great place too. Thanks for the link! Shipping on 3 pks was 8 dollars, but the bottles were so much cheaper it still made it very cheap. I forgot to add the tops, but not buying them anyhow. I did save it for future reference. One day I will try DIY but probably not while living here.... unless forced into it.

I'm at 18 right now. I got a couple of bottles of WTA at 24mg. I'm struggling like hell right now.

So sorry you're struggling hun. I was hoping 24 mg or WTA would help, but hopefully you'll come up with something that does. Meantime like everyone else said, don't drive yourself to drink over it. If ya need a cig have one, unless you're scared that would make you want them more.

Always had good luck with Health Cabin. Don't think they have as large a selection as they used to though. Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail I think.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Lately I've seen a couple comments bout issues with health cabin and folks not ordering from them no more. they were just comments, so I don't know what the issues were, but think I would forego them.

OK. What is WTA?

I know this was answered, but if you happen to notice it, anytime you see a word in a post that is underlined.....like WTA you can rest your cursor over it, and it will tell you what that stands for.

Is that why I hiccup if I rub a little bit of juice on my gums?

huh.....wonder if that's why I've been hiccuping so much lately! I really thought I was ready to go down to 18mg, but will have to try 21 or so if I try it again......made it a week and had to go back up to 24.

I'm not real sure how well this IQ thing works on the P3. I've got a brand new LG HE2 in it and it says the IQ is poor.

I wuz gonna say maybe you got a stoopit P3 instead of stoopit batteries, but I see Mike or someone got ya fixed up.

I still have half a pack in the server room.

hehehe One of these days an archaeologist is gonna find all these 1/2 packs of fossilized cigs tucked under piles of kanthal......and that'll be a real head scratcher!

Congratulations, Deb! My day is coming, I just can't bring myself to remove this perfectly good coil the KF came with! Plus I think I'll go ahead & get an Ohms meter, too.
I just used the one on my hana, plus used that to hold the deck while I built. But wouldn't be a bad idea. I liked the fact that it was higher (closer to my eyeballs) on the hana, but I was afeared I was gonna knock it over. What I really need is some lighted magnifying glasses of some sort.

She does juice bottles to match, too!

She does other tanks, too. Not just Nautilus.

Troublemaker!! :p

You're such a sweetheart!!! am glad some B&M's are willing to work with you. Then again, fasttech or someplace might be better in terms of cost than the discount. But at least it would give the newbie an idea of the vape shops juices etc.

that's a good idea! I have some of them with the brushes on both ends. They don't work for my teeth too good, but I figured they'd come in handy for sumpthin some day. I saw these while I was perusing fast tech too

$1.70 Mini Cleaning Brushes for E-Cigarette (5-Pack) 5-pack - black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Welcome back to the front......or front to the back, or something! Been awhile! Took me forever today to catch up on just a few pages, but I kept getting side tracked!

If this is a joke, then :)

If it's not a joke, then yes. When I chewed tobacco for a while (trying to quit smoking, that didn't work either), I would frequently get the hiccups from absorbing too much nicotine into my gums. I think it's way more dangerous to rub eliquid on your gums though, because the concentration of nicotine in eliquid is higher than in tobacco leaves (I don't know the exact numbers, though).

Actually, no, I wasn't joking. On occasion, if I would spill a little, I would rub it on my gums. I would immediately start to hiccup. It was just a little. I couldn't have ingested that much nicotine, could I?
