I tried a smok Kick clone once - for about 5 minutes. Took it out - set it aside. Not only was it "rattlesnake-y" harsh it was extremely loud going about it. SHSHSHSHSHSH!!!

Hey Rick, when I saw your post this meme came to mind right away, LOL;

I used to have a 33 Hz mod and I really didn't mind it. It's been a while now though. I've gotten so used to mechanical mods it would probably drive me crazy now

These days they're more middle of the road priced. Rick's one to talk, he won the ProVari and most of the Saloon folks are still trying to corner and lynch him.

LOL. Way to go Rick! I never win anything. Of course that may be because I never enter any draws or buy any tickets :)

Trydan, two Canada questions. Are you guys making any headway with the restrictions up there? Second question is, if I were to drive over the boarder, how much liquid and gear can I take with me? I'd only want to take enough for personal use but are there restrictions on it?

Are we making any headway? No. There is actually a proposed law that could make it very hard for all vape shops to do business in Canada if it is accepted as it stands.

Having said that, there is currently no law that restricts me from possessing or buying nicotine liquid or vape hardware. There are also shops up here that sell all of that. However, if Canada customs inspects an incoming mail package and it contains nic, they send it back to the sender. I suspect if someone took them to court over that, they would win. But I also suspect it might have to go all the way to the top courts before it was settled and that is a very expensive undertaking.

I don't know of anyone who has had any trouble bringing in vape hardware and liquid for personal use. That doesn't mean it's never happened, but I suspect if it had I would have heard about it.

I'll call Canada customs on Monday, see what they say and get back to you. That's really the only way to know for sure what their policies on this are.

Good luck with that Ryedan. I do believe a Magic 8 Ball will be involved. Call 3 times - see how many different answers you get.

Don't call customs, it will probably be a while before we could even do it, but thank you.

That's insane! Across the whole country? They'd rather people smoke, period?

For some reason I thought you had a mg strength restriction up there. It's getting hard to remember who has what pending and who has passed what. This year looks to be a bumper crop of global proposed BS. I hope you guys can fend off the latest assault.

Still not willing of let go of that, huh? :p

No, not really. Give me a few more years.

Still makes me laugh how some got so offended that you won.

Lol - I remember that one from the Great PWM Wars... err... debates.

When I hit my first real (and only) 33 Hz PWM thingy - a Tesla VV/VW - the 33 Hz PWM going on was glaringly apparent. Up to that point I was using VV things with linear regulators like varicool - no hizzing required. But not only did the Tesla sound very different it was a harsh vape. The Smok kick - same thing. Really don't like it.

After that I was much happier with an eVic. :pervy:

Flamingo, I have to call them to ask about importing something else from the USA too, so this will be just one more question I ask them. I also want to know the answer to this one. If it goes bad when I talk to them, I'll leave this question out, but if I can ask it I will.

Yup, I've been emailing and snail mailing everyone that I think counts for the last year or so. I think they know me by now and just ignore me, but I keep mailing as often as I feel the need to :)

The MG issue that I know about is for the EU. That's not happening up here yet.

I hear ya Rick :) and that might just be the way it goes. Going to keep the old thinking cap on though :thumb:

You know I'm not picking on you, it's just from reading all the aggravation people go through with orders getting through... or getting held, opened and inspected, confiscated or returned to suppliers the customs "rules" seem to be based on some kind of mood disorder.

You're the only person I know of that hits their Tweet limit in 20 minutes and has to wait fir the little birdies to reset you.

I'd be convinced that I'm going nuts, but...

Bingo! There seems to be a lot of that going on since I joined ECF. I think a situation in Canada was my initiation into government meddling in vaping. I was completely floored. Still am but at least that's where I began to learn to fight. REO/ProVari is were I got my real warm-up combat training. :D

On Friday, "A Vermont Bill was introduced today to ban all manufacture and sale of e-liquids in flavors other than menthol." Where do they get this stuff? I know that's US but if you know something we can do to help you out up there, please let us know. At this point I'm happy to stomp on any of their toes. :)

well, I had other things to comment on, but the internet went out halfway through reading this, and I lost them all. The only one I recall was the nicked batt pic. It would probably be fine, but if mine were marked that much, I think just to err on the side of safety I'd replace it or at least rewrap it. I'm as broke as broke gets, but what's $8.00 to keep something from blowing up in my face.

I got my Reo Grand going on a year ago now. Bought a Cyclone for it so I could use dual coils easier. I'm spoiled now :)

It's gonna take me some time, but I am really wanting a reo. Would love to try one first, but regardless, with all the vape a geddon going on, and getting closer, it really seems to be the way to go.

My vv gripper is pwm and I love this thing! Sometimes it has better flavor than my hana clone. Not always though, so I switch between them. Just wish it were made better. The only Smok tech product I've tried that I liked.

this it truly insane, and it's coming quickly! Just hopin none of these bills pass. Count me in the toe stompin too. I've danced on plenty of people's desks/foreheads, and don't mind doing it again!!

Sort of know what you mean, when I was building this wick the first one I screwd up cause my hands were shaking so bad. Had to take a xanax and wait for it to take effect to build it right.

Bad hands days I don't even try to build coils. Good hands days I recoil everything that needs it including Protank 1 and 2 heads and CE5 heads as well as all my RBAs and RDAs. So I might do as many as 100 coils in a day every couple of months.

THen again I am boring and just do a basic 1.2-1.7 ohm micro coil in everything. Not the fancy stuff you guys are playing with.
