Forgot to tell you I am vaping it @ 14.5 watts.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I'm at 12 watts - high (for me) but amazing flavor!

Flamingo, i don't know anything about ProVari - Reo wars. That seems kinda silly! I like the P3, I like my Billet Box, and I'd probably like the Reo. It's all good!

Cleaned and ready for reassembly. Not really as .... as it might appear. Just read about plugged air holes and juice channels as well as really heavy machine oil on the clones. That as well as "that funky smell" said a thorough cleaning was in order.

Now that's just asking for something to get lost? Yikes that's a lot of pieces.

Well I finished the Kayfun V4 build. Good God! This thing vapes like a freight train. I'm truly impressed and it's a clone! I might have to save my pennies and nickels for the real deal. Truly impressive. Nice airy draw, tons of vapor. I put a 9 wrap, 28ga micro coil at 1.4 ohms and it's putting out clouds. I like it.

Your not helping my vaping budget, sir!

Holy Geez! Looks like w/ the right fuel and wick you could launch a rocket w/ that thing. So what is that "thing"?

It's the YouDe Goblin. Only $27 from Triangle Vape, if they actually had them in stock, which they don't, because they keep selling out the same day they come into stock. I'm part of the first group buy from Smog Distribution, which should be shipping from China as of today, and since then he's had a second group buy that's also sold out. Of course, you can buy one on eBay (they've been selling for anything between $35 and $60). Eciggity also has them for $34.99, but they're sold out as well.

In another month, there will be a zillion of them available in stores, and the price will be back to normal, but for now, they're scarce as hens teeth.

Ahem...

IT'S SNOWING AND WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!! AAUUGGHH!!!

Where da Northeast 'coasters at? Despite the typical New England mentality to overreact to the possibility of... a snowflake it's really woolly out there! Beyond the non stop 35+ mph winds in my location the roads are like trying to drive on glass covered in marbles - don't. Not a clue how much we got out there because the drifting is so bad. And we're gonna get another 20 hours of this!?

Anyone else in the pummel zone for this one?

We lucked out here 30 miles NW of Phila. Only got a couple inches of fluff. But, we have friends in Beverly MA and at 5:00 she said they had 25" and still snowing and drifting, but says it was a much worse storm in '78. They still have electric so they're fine. You people are tough up there! Just stay put, it'll pass.

The news is all over the fact that NY didn't get hit hard and they're ready to string up the forecasters. It's nature for pity sake and I heard them myself saying that although they didn't think it would, the storm could go further east and not be so bad. Some of the "models" predicted that. Come on people, isn't it better to be prepared and then be glad if it misses you?

Well, they taught us to question whether what we were being taught was true. That's pretty valuable.

We were lectured to and it was a very large school district. No room to question what was taught or you were simply wrong. Besides, theirs were the only answers allowed on the tests. There was one English teacher who was worth the space they took up. He had a unit on debate and would made some of us take the position opposing our view. Now that was interesting and worthwhile.

Guess what? I finally built my first dual-coil! And, it even works! Quite well, as a matter of fact.

YAY!!! GOOD FOR YOU!! Very satisfying knowing that you really can do it! I'm impressed and proud of you. When I attempted a coil I had Mike here to guide me through and that helped so much.

Myrany, thanks for your answer. I bookmarked the post and will watch the videos. That was really sweet of you to do!

Mike, i popped into my local vape shop, this afternoon (read down to know why) and asked the owner about the Erlk. He's going to get one for me. I love that young man! :)

WOO HOO! I did it! So excited. Thanks to all of you who have been so encouraging, I built two coils, today - 1.2 and 1.6 ohms - and wicked my KFL+ and K4!!! I had NO idea that juice could taste this good. Patrick (young man and owner of vape store to which I referred) watched me build and guided me through wicking. The K4 gurgles a little bit, but that's OK. I feel like I did when I was 10 and got my first pie crust right :)

Should've taken pix of the builds, but I was laughing too much to remember! Next time ...

Woohoo! 2 coil builders born today!!! Good for you. Most B&M shops are pretty knowledgeable and helpful like that, but there are some stinkers out there. Glad you have a good on close. Actually it's to their advantage to be helpful. You'll not only go back, but refer others there as well.

Good grief Matt, that makes my head spin! I'd have to clean that up right away! See, this is the part the tinkers like. Lots and lots of pieces and gotta see how it works. That many pieces just scare me! It's a good thing we have tinkers like you because some people (like moi) get glazed-over eyes. I just appreciate that there are so many like you because that's why we have so many new and improved rigs to choose from. :vapor:

Alright - here's what I don't like about REOs. I've heard too many stories of people who tried them. Liked them so much - they had to sell their collection of mods and toppers to get more REOs and bottom feeder RDAs. I'm afraid to take the chance. ;)

Seriously - that does happen.

It's not that you have to sell anything, it's that most people do because they stop using it. Happened to me too. There wasn't a lot of in depth comparison or nit picky analysis going on. I got my first Reo and pretty much just stopped using the other stuff without thinking about it.

Hey Wolfy. I forgot and laid this Lemo on it's side and by the time I looked half of it leaked out all over the table. What do you think. Is that chimney Oring supposed to be on the chimney or in the top piece thats gotta be the problem. I've never had so much problem with an atty.

I laid mine on its side once for a day and no leak. Theres a small black o-ring that goes on the top part that screws onto the evaporation chamber. The clear silicon ring goes into the top part that screws onto that part and sits on the tank. That clear silicon ring would there fore be on top of the tank.
If all the rings are there and when tightened the tank is not moving it shouldn't be leaking, unless liquid is getting down into the very bottom part and coming through the air holes. assuming all tight and no defects in rings or parts.

ETA - your chamber is screwed all the way down onto the build deck.

I was up north in Marblehead for this one and I would have to say we got a good two feet here. Considering how bad the winds were I don't know how they figure an "official" amount in inches. It was bare pavement at the back porch steps, a four foot drift against the fence. Snow... everywhere...

Can't believe some of those New Yorkers. They are actually P.O.'d that they didn't get a blizzard. That's nutz.

Yup and my story is about the same as Rick's. My Reo is what I use all the time these days, but I haven't sold off any of my other gear. The ability to have a perfectly wet wick every drag has me spoiled. The rest of my mods have become backup :)

I can understand that. Up here in the Great White North, we get a bit upset at that too. When our weather people forecast snow, they better deliver, or it gets nasty .......

Judging by my Canadian family...aint that the truth. With the Caveat that their Edmonton weather guy never gets it right.

I lived in Edmonton for almost 2 years. IMO their weather forecasters have it relatively easy. Here in the Toronto area we get lake effect off of Lake Ontario which is hard to predict and it can be totally different 15 miles further away from the lake.

We don't nearly as much snow as we used to here though, even in Montreal where I grew up. I remember snow piled up on sidewalks to the street signs a few times over the years, but that was 40-50 years ago.

Congratulations!! I had to clean & rewick my KFL+ that I did my first build on, & decided to go ahead & set up my new one, too. THE FIRST ONE WASN'T A FLUKE! :rickroll: Second one came in at 1.7 also! I'm so happy!! :D I just wasn't convinced that the first one wasn't just luck. I also adjusted the bottom post, as it was screwed in too far. I'm glad I knew to check that since it was a brand new device. The first one had been used a couple of times, so I knew it was ok when I got it. I just compared them & made the new one the same.I had already cleaned the new one in vinegar, but it still had that funky machine oil smell so I wiped the whole thing down with alcohol, & squirted alcohol thru the air holes & fill hole. The threads were gritty even after I cleaned it the first time, so I wiped them out really well. Smelled fine, & the threads worked without that grating sound.

So, saying all that to say this: Thank you, everyone for having this forum, & The Porches, where I've learned so much. Without you all I wouldn't have had nearly enough confidence to "just do it". Thank you to all those new to vaping, like I am, for asking all the questions I didn't know enough to ask. You are all a blessing!

Now, on to dripping, twisted wire, mechs, & so on!
