I am gratified to know that a clip like this does not go unappreciated .. many folks, even those of maturity, dislike the bad audio quality .. much like many dislike a B&W film .. I try to hear through the distortion and imagine ...

I don't mind the bad audio quality. It's the sound of the time that has passed and that all the good stuff didn't just happen in the present.

Ahh thanks Willie! I spent many a late night crying in my beer listening to Willie. Hello Walls was my theme song. lol

In a previous life in the IT field, I got to play in several celebrity pro-am golf tournaments. I played with Willie at one of the tournaments. You know the phrase that someone "looks like they were rode hard and put away wet"? Well.....that's all I could think of when meeting Willie. He was drinking like a fish the whole day....and pretty crude. He did a concert that night....he, and most of his crew were so high/drunk.....I left the concert early. It was very disappointing...I have never been able to look at him the same since then.

Yeah he was a pretty hard partier back in the day but so was I so maybe that is why I related to him so well. I think about all he does now is smoke the wacky tobacky and he vapes that so I hear.

We have a new ecf logo. Haven't seen anyone mention it.

I gotta say, I got the mini vivi nova a little while ago. The long wicks took a long time to deliver good flavor. Lots of vape from the start though. Then I tried the short wick 2.4 ohm on my eGo 650 and absolutely love it. It's my favorite and I'm really loving my Blue Moon (pear/blueberry) juice in it. I'm one happy vaper!

I love the mini nova and use it with both the ego twist and with the 650 egos.Question here- mine have the long wicks, good flavor (diy)- why would the short wicks taste better ?? ( always want to know the "why's )
Am thinking of cutting the wicks shorter to see the diff-but maybe you can just give me a comparison, please.

When I first fired up the mini nova I was shocked on 2 counts. The amount of vape was great, but there was no flavor. I'd say by the end of the 2nd tankful I was getting some flavor and by the 3rd tank it was great. I've filled it several times now and am very happy with it now. I've heard many other people say the flavor is muted, but I told them to stick with it awhile and see if it changes. I think there's something about the wick that captures the flavor molecules or something and it can take longer for the flavor to come through. Of course, a lot of that would depend on the flavor juice you're using. I think the shorter wicks deliver the flavor better, but I use lighter flavored fruity juices. I've seen Lord Davon trim his wicks, but he didn't say why, I just figured that now I understood why he did it. Maybe I should specifically ask him why in case there's another reason. So much of this really depends on personal preferences. Maybe you could try cutting one and see if you notice a difference.

I've used both, and honestly, for me I didn't notice any difference in flavour. The only explanation I've heard that may make sense, is that different flavour additives may clog up in the longer wicks and not 'wick' to the coil so you're vaping more of the PG/VG and less of the flavour additive. I've heard the same explanation for why different wick materials produce better/worse flavour. Is it true or not - I really don't know.

Good grief, at first I thought you were talking about our Uncle Willie!! Yeah. We get feelings about celebrity people we don't know based on how we feel about their work. Then we meet them in person and they don't look quite the same in the light of day (or night as the case may be) WN really is a character and I do think he's ridden hard and put himself away wet many times!!

I know exactly what you're talking about. Working in casinos for 30 years, I've dealt to many of them and come into closer contact many times. It definately changes your opinion of them. Some of them I could no longer care for regardless of how fine their work, while others whose work I may not have been that fond of became favorites just because they were such nice people.

I have both short and long wicks and I prefer the long wick version. I use juice with extra flavor, so maybe that's why I don't find a difference in flavor between the two. I just like the way the longer ones wick for me, seems I can vape right to the last drop. With the short ones I sometimes end up with juice on my mouth from tilting them so much to use up the last of it. YMMV :)

Hiya Hippy!! Good to see ya. Just to confuse you more.....you'll just have to see how you like the long ones, and if you think there is room for improvement, then cut em back. I cut mine. I haven't tried the mini vivi, but in my bigger ones, I always try them long first, just to see....but even on the new one I just got, I ended up cutting them again. I do use fingernail clippers to cut them with and cut em probably to about 1/2 inch. Just so they touch the sides of the tank. I can never get the long ones to really wick well enough to not have to tip/tilt. And I do get better flavor after I cut them. For me it's a distinct difference, and I usually get my juice with an extra flavor shot too. Mine usually take about a tank to break in, maybe not quite. But I do love em. Now if they'd just make a bottom coil one. lol

Oh, and if you get gurgling, or a reduction in flavor, take the drip tip off, and stick a rolled up tissue down in there, and tilt the tank. Sometimes condensation will build up. I usually have to do that a couple times a day. Huge difference.

TX, I have to acknowledge that your 49ers spanked my Packers pretty hard on Sunday. It looks like you've got a good season ahead of you, make sure to enjoy the fun while you can because we'll get you back in the playoffs. :)

It was a great game for me being as the Packers have owned us for the last 20 years and they are a very good team. The Refs were terrible against both teams but I don't thionk they affected the final outcome. Good luck to the Packers the rest of the year and we have a good chance of meeting again, hopefully at Candlestick in Jan.:toast:

I don't know how long this will be going on, but this place is giving away two free juice samples 5mls each. All but 2 I think are tobacco flavors, but I got the sumatra coffee, and the menthol frost with no tobacco. Check it out.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor-station/329822-free-liquid-samples-first-timers.html

Thanks for the heads up Deb! I tried, see what happens. I'm not a big tobacco fan either, but I like the frost and I might try one of the mixes cuz I have enough coffees already to sink a small ship. LOL. My corner of the earth is going to sink under the weight of my fluids soon! My son gave me some money to play with so of course I had to get some NIC and mixers and DIY flavors, cuz God knows, 10000 isn't enough! LOL. So I exaggerate a BIT!!! But there were just some flavors I've been dying to try like papaya, apricot, guava, cucumber, yes, cucumber! It smells so refreshing! I've yet to vape it but it makes my mouth water! I'm almost scared to try because I don't want to be disappointed! I love buying from Wizard Labs! for $1.49 I can get 8ml of fun flavor worth 10X as much! Hee hee, makes me feel like a kid! I'm a dork! LOL! Thanks again!!! Free is good!

I'm going to keep it light and sweet today with just some solid pop music .. and one that always did it well was Tony Orlando .. bearing a striking resembilance to Freddie Mercury, Orlando actually was general manager at Columbia Records for a time, as he was focused on the corporate end of the music business.

Best known for Tony Orlando and Dawn, the name came about when Orlando learned there were six other bands touring with the name Dawn ..

After a time having his own Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Music Theatre in Branson, Mo, which he shared with Wayne Newton (they sued each other at one point) .. the 68 year old still tours.

Today, a tip of the hat to Tony Orlando ..
