I finally figured out how to get online at this hotel. Turns out when I turn off wifi the G4 takes over and you can get things done! Slots headed home around 4 and now being in Vegas is NO FUN!!! I wanna go home too. Slots was more fun than vapefest even. Guess we just need to have an over 55 family reunion next year instead! :)

Glad to see you - still wishing I could have joined you, I am sure that a 55 family reunion would be a blast. Can't wait to hear about Vapefest and all the fun you and Slots had.

There's a drink called an Orange Julius that has a touch of a creamy taste. Bet it would work with peaches too. The creamy I was thinking of for you would be like maybe the Sweet Cream Flavor from Flavor Apprentice or maybe Vanilla Bean Ice Cream?
Perfumers Apprentice - Chocolate & Vanilla Flavors

Ok - that sounds good. I am still using up a bunch of mixes before I get to creating some new ones. Can't believe how many part bottles of so-so flavors I have managed to create  So I have a part bottle of juicy peach and another of vanilla bean ice cream - so I am going to try them mixed. Who knows maybe they will be worth re-creating :)

Hi, my name is Chiwalker, and I just introduced myself on the Oldtimer's thread, and was told this was the place for non tech chat, so here I am! I dropped out of vaping about a year ago, having been a one year vet on ECF last March, and decided after an eventful year and a half to start vaping again, and stumbled across the Oldtimer's tech thread, and now here I am....:)

I live in Northeastern Ohio, I'll be 64 next month, have 2 kids, five grands, have been married 44 years this month, and have lived in the same house for 44 years...I'm sorta getting back into vaping and life right now, so this looks like my kind of place.

welcome.png over here too. I just turned 59, have 5 kids and 3 grand kids. Just hit my 10th month vaping and have to admit that I would never given up my 46 yr smoking habit without it.

Very glad that you made it thru your eventful year and half and have come here to join us. :)

Ummm. now that looks hopeful for the cause!!!

Don't live close but I am sure there are many who do who ave veteran vapors.

The last I checked there were 2 takers. I hope this reporter doesn't have an ulterior motive. I've seen what they can do with an interview! Hopefully it will be fine and an honest report will come out of it. You're right, it could be most helpful. Most of what's reported does not include information from vapers themselves.

Hey there Chi, glad to see you made it over to the porch. Pull up a rocker and sit a spell. We're vaping away and waiting for Slots and Balwin to get back and let us know how much fun they had at the Vegas vape meet. Don't mind Iffy, he's sitting over there in the corner wishing for unicorn farts. You might have missed that discussion the other day, but I'm still laughing about it.

I'm at the airport now. So ready to go back to my quiet corner of the porch though! Such an overload of people and sound for this country gal! I will check the gift shop for butterfly kisses and unicorn farts for Iffy while I am here.
Vapefest was fun and some of the workshops were great. All of them had a few new and interesting bits. The last one was rebuilding genesis attys given by Zen, an awesome end to a good vapefest. Now if Slots just lived closer...

Nice to see you here and another welcome to ya. I'm Mike and my wife is "Janet H". We're both retired now and were smokers our entire lives. That is - until we started vaping 2 years ago and since then we've been smoke free - vape, vape, oh what a relieve it is - to be smoke free.

chiwalker,

Your story was so touching, and not totally unlike some of our 'porch puppies' here. We do hope that you'll continue to come here to unwind, rewind and windup staying for a long spell!

So bring dose worn ol' slippers, your comfy robe, pull up dat rocker over yonder and vape your azz off with us...

BTW, I'm not in da corner as Janet misreported. I've been banished to da back 40. So much for trying to emulate a unicorn fart... Kinda forgot dat vaping helps EVERYONE's sense of smell, even cyber smell! What can I say?

Thought I would report on the shopping expedition for the new birthday recliner. Cutting to the chase, I am getting a new LaZBoy recliner delivered in 6 to 8 weeks. And I thought waiting for vapemail was hard. Really nice chair but, when I found out that my wife paid $850 I about passed out. I completely stayed out of the money part of it, after all it's my birthday present. I knew it was expensive but, I really didn't know how much. She said LaZBoy wad the best. This will be my fifth recliner in about 12 years or so and she said she wanted a good one that she wouldn't have to replace in a couple of years. I told her to remember that when I ordered a new APV. :)

Thanks to all for the Birthday wishes. Wife and I are both fighting the flu so it was a rather sedate day. Kid and friends are planning on something next Saturday. I think it's going to involve gifts and snow crab legs. Lots of both I hope. :)

Have a great birthday,Matt! Sorry, your recliner won't be there in time. Will this do? . . . . . . Oops! Never mind! My internet is too slow to upload a picture to Photobucket right now (Upload Failed). I'll get back to you in 6 weeks, ok? :p

Spent the last few hours catching up with a new show called "Sleepy Hollow". Hubby dvred the first one from last week, and it's really showing promise to be a show I might actually watch this year. Kinda a supernatural drama, really good. If you like that type of show, that is. I do--I'm a sucker for supernatural elements, and this is really well done.

I kind of like this show too. I was kind of disappointed in Under the Dome (although I am still watching it) but this seems pretty intense to me. I will have to see it a couple more times but I think I like it.
