Do all of your ipv displays go bright when pushing buttons and while firing but then go dim after releasing it? Just trying to figure out if it's normal or not. Mine is doing it.

Yes same, mine goes bright when button is pressed and dims when NOT..

Pretty sure mine died on day 4 , figures.

Pretty off off topic but I laughed so hard!

I am having an issue with one atomizer not threading onto the IPV3. I just got a Lancia clone (iVogo) and the thing won't screw on more than maybe one thread. It just stops. It screws on to my mech mods just fine and I am not having any issues with putting other atomizers on the IPV3. Weird. It sort of looks like it may not be going on straight, but it is difficult to tell for sure. I tried getting it to thread numerous time, but it just won't go on. Anyone else have any issues getting a particular atomizer to screw on the IPV3?

Just got my ipv3 last night. Super excited about it. This was one of the first shops to get them here on Long Island and apparently there have been a ton of people after them. Luckily I bought the first one from them :D

Going to rebuild my plume veil lower somewhere in the .3-.8 range and see how she fires on the new ipv!

I have not had any issues like this. I did have a kayfun clone that felt a little funky the first time I screwed it on but I have not had what felt like any cross threading. Have you inspected the threads on both of them to see if it scarred either of them?

I got it on. I had to force by putting a screwdriver into an air hole for leverage and twisting it on. Yeah, I cringed. It twists on now without needing to do that, so I guess I "fixed" the threading. My Magma still goes on fine, so I don't think I damaged anything too bad.

My experience is pretty much the same. I had a little black glue on one of the contacts on the top which i easily scratched off with my fingernail.
The gap between the atty and box is probably the diameter of 28g kanthal on mine, if that. I didn't notice it until I read your post lol.
I switched to the phillips head screws. The hex screwdriver is garbage. Honestly I'm probably going to convert it to magnets.

I think all the cons are very minor. The only thing that bugs me is not only did it not come with the charger cable, which I knew was going to happen, but there are no specifications on what kind of charger I would need to buy. Being able to charge it with a cable was the reason I ordered it instead of the sigelei.
i think your supposed to just charge the batteries in your charger ie like not via the charge port, otherwise any standard mini JSB cable should work. Another one of the reasons I went with the ipv2S.

A customer posted a copy of this email they received from UK Liberty Flights. This only seems to be affecting some of their IPV3s. At this point this doesn't seem to be any sort of widespread issue but being watchful for any unusual battery terminal heating would be sensible.

We are writing to urgently inform you that we have discovered a potential safety hazard involving the iPV 3 you have purchased recently. We have seen more than one example of the internal battery terminals getting hot which we believe in some of the products is causing the plastic casing that houses the chipset and wiring to melt. The melting is occurring next to the battery terminals (gold coloured parts that touch the end of the batteries) which we believe could represent a serious hazard if left unchecked. As such we are recalling this product from the market as it no longer meets with the high standard of safety we demand from all our products.

I saw that earlier today. That is a specific recall by Liberty Flights and there were two units in question to the best of my knowledge. I wish they would of posted their vendor/batch # so that others who may have gotten theirs second hand or through other means would also be aware of the potential problem associated with that #.

As fellow vapers have been discussing in reddit , i tend to agree that it is either some kind of sealant or glue from China. After reading the announcement from Liberty flights i used my ipv @ 50W continuously and the sealed areas dont even get warm. (ofc its not 150W but hey what the heck)

Regardless , there has been no image on the mentioned "melted " ipv's and we can never be quite sure if the area around the battery terminals that Liberty Flights is claiming to be melted looks the same.

In the OP my pics before I ever put the batts in look like that. I checked mine and it appears to be sealant.
