Even though the vapor coming from the electronic devices is safe not everyone knows it. This can lead to a certain amount of resentment especially from those who actively smoke. As with everything else I think it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep that in mind.

Personally I have used mine in public but at the same time I try to do it discretely mostly to not attract attention from people who do not know or understand what electronic cigarettes entail.

I just generally don't vape in public unless I'm being very discreet about it. Like it was said before, some people still don't understand the lack of risks associated with ecigs and associate them with traditional cigs.

In this Politically Correct day and age where everyone is offended by everything, I doubt they will ever understand or accept vaping. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if they tried labeling it as bullying of some type.

Not true, because your clouds will freak out people who either think it's dangerous like smoke, or annoy smokers who can't have one. So they complain. So then the establishment bans vaping.
It's dumb, and I've seen people doing it - FLAUNTING their vape, and thereby risking my ability to vape there.

The casinos want your money. They won't ban anybody for anything...except cheating.

Poker rooms.
That's where I've seen vaping specifically prohibited, specifically because people were vaping more and more, and it caused 2 problems:
a) from a distance, people thought it was smoke (poker rooms are almost always non-smoking)
b) Smokers got jealous

I can't say I've seen one where it has been banned yet. Even cruise ship casinos allow smoking.

I just returned from a gambling trip 2 weeks ago and some of the tables were smoking and some were "no smoking". Tables were full, so I sat at a no smoking table and the dealer saw my mini pro and said it was fine for me vape, so I checked with the rest of the table and they all agreed that as long as it didn't smell like a stinkie or a cigar, have at it!! Politeness goes along ways!!

I was spewing clouds at Twin River Casino in Rhode Island...a few times. One game boss called it a turbo e-cig.

They know what it is...people are smoking butts in there man...they know you aren't using anything else but an e-cig.

Never been in a poker room. I'm a terrible poker player but one thing I love to do is drink scotch and smoke when I do play cards.
