I don't know what the batteries are the sent, but I put them in at 2 yesterday, used the Rocket at work, at the bar, and all day today, and they still are doing fine. I may not be a chain vape guy all the time, but this has been nice. I keep waiting on them to die or tell me they need to be charged. Oh well.

Didn't get to fiddle with the scorpion, still not wicking worth a poo though.

Took the Scorpion to work with me yesterday. It's just mehh. Not bad, but not great either. After sitting for awhile the first hit is great, but every hit after that are those bad tasting, semi-dry hits. I also took the "queen" wick out and it didn't do anything - vaped just the same. One thing I noticed about the queen wick is that when it's out, if the PV is tilt with the drip tip facing down passed horizontal it leaks like a mother - I lost almost half a tank of juice before I realized it was leaking out the drip tip.

I got 4 of them, but at this point I'm gonna let the other three sit and go back to my ViVi Novas ... which by the way are working way better after letting them sit horizontal with almost a full tank for 2 days!

OK, well, this is going to be my last report on the Scorpion, unless someone comes up with some drastic tweak. And it's not going to be a long one. ( )

Basically what I said in my original long report stands. Even though this configuration (to me) seems like somewhat of a dead end, tech-wise, it wouldn't be bad, except for the flavor. For me, with constant almost-horizontal tilting, it wicks well until its about third full, after which it's constant semi-dry hits unless I turn the power way down. It holds a good deal of juice, it's easy to fill. But the lack of flavor is so pronounced that, for me, it's a deal-breaker. I would not buy it or recommend it.

Sorry, guys.

I have to agree with Briar. The concept and design are nice, but no matter what I do with the wicks it doesn't want to carry the fluid efficiently. Maybe if it was one big wick instead of 3 small ones it may work better. Now I am out to figure out how to re-purpose the components. That will be a good time.

The Rocket, on the other hand, has found a place in my heart. As long as the price is reasonable, this is a great little no-frills VV device. Great battery life, light, and just simple. The only thing bad I have to say is the top needs to be modified for contact reasons (also when using a fluxomizer it would push the tube off) and I almost wish it was a bit heavier, but only because it is easy to knock over (I like standing it up!).

I still need to do voltage tests on the Rocket. Other than that, wait for the next round of products.

Thanks again GV for this opportunity.

OK I got my vv rocket today. Here are my first impressions and I will give an update in a week.

First of all nice color on the red one. Its different than the one shown in the picture however as it has a red button and not black ( not that it matters)

I was really impressed with the way if fit my hand....very comfortable. In fact I find it more comfortable than my tox cannon and my lava tubes. Compared to the tox cannon the button is sooooo much easier to push and is located in a much better area IMHO. Also the button does not appear to be able to get stuck in the on position as you cant depress it in that far ....so no getting it stuck!

Compared to both the tox and lavatubes I like the smoother edges on the rocket better as I have actually had sore spots on my hand from the bottom caps digging into me LOL. I like the fact that the display is large enough for me to read it without glasses (none of my other pv's do that)

Another nice feature is the ability to hold down the lil button and the voltage numbers change.....no more million clicks to get from 3.0 to 5.0 LOL

The unit itself seems sturdy enough that if you dropped it you would not have a problem. The finish appears to be an easy clean finish and feels good in my hand.

My one and only concern at this stage is the bottom cap. I like the fact that you do not have to screw it round and round a million times but it feels a little flimsy to me. I will keep an eye on this and report back in a week.

All in all I am impressed right out of the box with a feel good pv that seems to rock :)

I got my Rocket, and Scorpion today. I am very impressed with the Rocket. I really like the size and feel. I actually purchased this with every intention of giving it to a friend to use. I have decided to keep it. The only change I would like to see is an on/off. I do not care for the cartomizers that come with it.
I also tried the Scorpion. I filled it about 3/4 with BWB Maple Tobacco. I had to let it sit for a time to wick. I love it. I had enough good flavor to satisfy me, and quite a bit of vapor.
I do prefer the Scorpion over the included cartos.
I am excited to be on board and can't wait to see what's next.

on the scorpions i agree with briar too. i only used one of the 2 i got but its performance is meh at best. it is a promising design however. IF the center tube had some large slits it would let the juice in better but then it would end up needing a cup seal like the old fluxo had or maybe from a phoenix tc i not sure the diameters. then it would operate like a punched out or slotted ce2 in a carto tank with easy removable cap for filling. but then you have all the tinker problems that come with the seal - is it lined up is it pinching the wick is it touching the coil ECT...

See, that's why I'm sorta not-too-thrilled by the design... It is already effectively operating like a ce2 in a tank. There is liquid in the center tube, just as there would be in a punched ce2. But you can't remove this ce2 to replace it, so what's the point of the design other than the aesthetic value of having the wicks covered? Am I missing something?

Agreed. I think the problem is the design itself. I do like the coil and how its seated so you can actually drip into it for a nice vape ... but that kind of defeats the purpose!

I got my vapemail today. :D The two scorpions I ordered. I opened 1 immediately & filled it with my go-to test juice, Dekang 100% PG Strong Mint. I filled the outside, mostly filled the inner tube, and let sit for ~10 minutes. I pretty much always start a new clearo or atty on my 3.7v box mod (w/a fresh charged batt) for consistencies sake. I have not altered it in any way.

The taste is as expected for this juice (definitely not muted). Vapor production is a bit low, but definitely not bad. But then again, I'm not a vapor freak anyway. I've been hitting it steadily for almost an hour. Take a hit (maybe two) and sit it down to type. Repeat. I'm about 1/3rd the way through the first tank. I'll reload w/ some 70/30 Spearmint and see how that goes.

On another note, I'm definitely gonna spring for a Rocket when payday gets here - Thursday or Friday (assuming there are any left). :D

Sorry, guys.

From what you said, maybe the last thing to try is a punch in the tube, just like a carto punch.

Bleh, the top of the Scorpion came completely off the tube for me when I was taking it out of my jacket pocket--it didn't unscrew off, the entire top housing separated from the tube. Well, I can look down the center and it appears to be a standard CE2 from what I can tell. Oh, and I notice small hairline cracks on the top of the tube.
