Sitting down, facing forward.
Most larger towns/cities have a Sally's Beauty Supply where you can buy a lifetime supply of Graham CelluCotton, 100% rayon variety, for about fifteen bucks. Alternately, your local drug store has KU tampons that'll do in a pinch.

^^ Yep.

Those are the two best local options.

There's a Sally's almost everywhere. They have a store finder on their Web site, probably not more than 15 min from you if your near the city.... Ku may be in your bathroom right now if the situation is right.

The rest are by mail.

Heya Lady! Good to see ya droppin' by again. I keep disappearing from here too, but finally got around to swinging by and should probably try to stick around a little more myself. I think I'm trying to keep up with too many threads at once...
Hey!! Thats my problem too...I have about 5 to 6 threads I am active on, and I have trouble keeping up on them all! Lol

BTW I apologize if it seems like I've been bombarding the thread lately. I feel like I have been. To be honest I'm just so excited. The rayon is like a whole other level I never knew was there. Juice has never tasted this good I cannot even believe it's my diy. The longevity and nic hit have me singing. This stuff is unreal. I am so appreciative to all of you.

And to think that at this very moment I am set on wicking material for life...ha ha :)
Rayon is such a wonderful discovery. It truly is :) it changed vaping for me :) The taste, longevity of it, and performance is amazing.

Can I find rayon suitable to vape with anywhere locally in a big city or is it mail order primarily?
You can get at Sally beauty supply and they are in most cities big and small. For hair care products... If not Sally's there is several other options mentioned here.... Good luck!!! It's worth the find!!!
Yes, you should be able to find it local

Sorry, I posted before I hit the last thread. Others have answered this....

I think it's great when a new convert gets excited about rayon and posts a lot about it in the thread. It keeps the thread front and center for other new people to check out, and gives everyone a chance to answer the common questions so those new people can see the answers without having to search too far for them. It appears we've had a few new converts lately. Keep 'em coming! :toast:

Help me understand. If I have a mech mod, 4.2 v with 1.6 ohm coil is 11 w. A battery doesn't stay at 4.2 long and 4.1 is 10.5 w, 4.0 is 10w, etc. to 3.7 where it stays the longest at 8.5w. I have a tank with a 1.7 coil that is happy on a VW mod at 19-20w. How do people use mech mods in this era of vaping?

I have been using my Crickets and nothing else for the past 3 days. Running dual claptons, 10 wraps around a 2.5, rayon wicks and it lasts me pretty much all day. Of course the cricket runs dual 18650's in series. I don't think I would be happy with anything else as far as mechanical mods.

With a 0.2 ohm build in a dripper, you can vape at 70W for quite a while.

Before regulated devices, I guess you had to use what was there, but a regulated device is the only way to go for an RTA today.

You have to understand most people using mech are doing low low ohms, do the same math but using a .15 or .2 ohm coil.

How? Quite simple. Push button. It fires. Vapor.

Seriously, if it was between electronic cigs or not, I wouldn't vape. I don't care about wattage, this or that. I want something that will never die on me, never falter, can be washed in the sink, no wires, nothing. If that's so hard for you to understand, so be it, I'm glad you have yours and I have mine.

Regulated mods have no place in a sloth's house.

BTW I used regulated mods for a month. After a month I realized a) squonking is all I'll ever do and b) I have no need or use for a chip or flashy lights...

ETA perhaps I shouldn't have viewed your comment as condescending so if my response comes across as rude I apologize. It just irks me a bit. The wording, particularly "in this era of vaping" - why should anyone be persuaded to change with the times if they're happy with what's working for them, that doesn't make sense at all. I'll never understand why people use tanks or drip, makes no sense at all to me "in this era of vaping" except that it keeps them off cigs. And that rocks :thumb:

Don't be offended by paulBHC, he's still old school in other ways. The issue I have with mechs is you have to increase the gauge of wire and the retention of heat in the large wire can contribute to more gunk and slower ramp up. But if you get the right build in there you can still go hundreds of mls. And it sounds like your tuning into it now and getting close to the perfect build.

Many of the OG rayon users are mech or bottom feeder users still. I know TBev (of TMODS) has gone 300ml on a mech with a custard juice.

Everyone has a different idea of what is simplicity in their vape.

But here we all come together from different walks of vaping for the agreed upon simplicity of rayon wicking.

Sorry you took it that way. My wife uses 3 mechs and I am trying to get them to work well.

Innokin Coolfire I that is regulated to 8.5w for use with their 2.1 coil.

Aspire CF Mod

Vision Slip

The last two are mechs with safety chips.

My wife has severe COPD and can't handle big clouds. She does want flavor. She does not want to mess with a menu.

I bought 2 more CF Mods on closeout and might want to use one myself. I'm happy with 1-2 ohm builds on my VW mods and am just trying to figure out how to get that kind of vape on a mech.

@PaulBHC yeah man sorry, sometimes it's tough to tell through text alone what the intent was. Sorry I took it as a bit condescending clearly that wasn't the case bro :) vaping is all about different strokes, different folks.

I dunno - I'd just build something that's perhaps a tad bit stronger than what shes used to vaping on a VW. That way it acounts for both voltage drop with the mod and also the decreasing battery voltage as she vapes.

The mechs I use have solid silver contacts, so I don't even notice a drop-off until after my 8ml bottle is close to empty. So I just switch bottle and battery at the same time.

Clearly there's more "build work" with mechs to hone in the vape you want. I'm workin' on that right now, since the Rayon's wicking so well, trying to find a good balance. This probably looks like a PITA to people who can just up the wattage a bit to account for the better wicking. It's not tho, in all honesty, it's all about my vape setup anyway - see I run center coils, with a chuff cap. ANY pop or crackle heard is most likely going straight up into my mouth. If I built a single or duals out to the sides with the airflow I wouldn't even have this problem. But I like my center build lol :)

If you build her somethin' a little stronger than she's used to I don't think she'll get big clouds if the airflow's not big. Airflow has a lot to do with the clouds...like, I get pretty big clouds off my .7ohm center build with wide open airflow each side. Almost as much as I used to get with dual 26g .4 ohm coils. But I can close the airflow down, much less vapor, more flavor :)
