I guess everyone is happily using their rayon on this beautiful day. Problem free as usual.

So who's out there Today that's gonna finally decide that they have to try rayon wicking... Everyone's doing it and you dont even know the joy and freedom your missing out on.... Every day that goes by is another day you'll regret not trying it sooner.

I'm not, just getting by with the KGD awaiting that sweet sweet rayon you kindly sent.

I have 5 juices (won in a contest) I haven't even tried because of no rayon, don't want to get the wrong idea about them. Tried one (lychee, peach and cream) but wished I would have waited. I guess at least I can do a cotton rayon taste comparison, but on things I vape daily with rayon are muted as hell with cotton.

Dude, I would have gone down to my local store and picked up some Kotex-U, a long time ago - no make that, the day I couldn't find my rayon. The fiber in there is good quality...

So the person reading today, thinking they need to try this right away.. I challenge you to pick up some ku rayon down at the local store and see how much better rayon is than cotton.

LMAO, I should have. I even pass a Sally's everyday I take my wife to work.

I want to try something sourceable that isn't Sally's, I know if I buy a lifetime supply of it I won't likely buy anything else. Just the way I am, I don't know if it's frugality or what.

Kind of like you and your VTC. I'm the same way. I have three APV devices I currently use. A Cloupor Mini+ I won, an Apollo Reliant I won, and a Hohm Wrecker G2 I purchased. Had I not won those two devices I would still be using the Cool Fire IV I got for father's day (son lost it for me). So being those were at no cost I felt it was okay to purchase something I really wanted (the G2).

I know that's all off topic sort of, I guess what I was getting at is I didn't want to get attached to Kotex rayon and be forever purchasing female hygiene products for my vaping needs :)

I also would like to see someone take the rayon challenge, it's a win win win. Increased longevity, increased flavor, increased nic delivery requiring less mg per ml to get the same hit as cotton.

I can't believe not a single coil manufacturer has jumped on the rayon bandwagon. Especially for the Smok TF4, they love to push factory coil technology.

Hey everybody, rayon noob here. After a few days of lurking, and after a few days of using rayon, I figured it was about time I posted here. I was brought to this thread by the Sloth's video on rayon, and he was nice enough to gift me a hefty sample of both sally's rayon and some rayon balls to try out (thanks again, man). So far, the sally's is the easiest to work with, for me, the density seems to be a little more consistent than the rayon balls. I'm extremely impressed with this stuff, the flavor is fantastic, and it stays saturated for quite a long time.

Here's my first attempt with wicking rayon on my Stumpy. I haven't had any issues as of yet, but any critiques/advice would be appreciated.

Looking pretty good from what I can see.. How's the longevity fairing for you so far?

I can advise adding some space to your coil next time.

Well, there's no discoloration yet, the wick still looks as pristine as when I put it in. Of course, this juice isn't a coil gunker anyway. Flavor is fantastic, that's for sure, I can tell a noticeable difference coming from japanese organic cotton.

When you say add space, do you mean just a regular spaced out coil?

Still doing well using rayon despite my squonk kit being down presently. It was not the wick at all. Think it was simply a case of cheaply fabricated kit. The positive connection washer got corroded in a manner defying simple cleaning. A friend suggested that it possibly did so from lacking the mosfet. Ironic that a regulated mod w/ mosfet also fritzed on me, the mosfet being at fault. "Can't live with them, can't shoot mosfets."

The rayon may get a bit discolored on the side outward facing on the deck. This I am thinking is from condensation of a light yellow tinge of the Hawk Sauce used. It does not discourage use of the rayon. I did actually manage burning a few bits until I figured out the basics of using it as wick. It needs to be a good thickness and not too thinned out coming through the coil itself. Too much airflow in this area will help rayon to ignite. The wick has to fit snugly in the coils' internal diameter. That prevents ignition.

This minor trouble was only user error in learning use of rayon. Now, there is no further trouble using rayon and use will continue going forward. Next up will be building coils with stainless steel wire and using rayon as wick. Until then, saving pennies to replace squonk kit as well.

In short, biggest issues for me is cheap gear, mild learning errors.
