I grabbed the new kanger drip mod and after a few days am pretty impressed with it. its got a nice feed setup and a 7ml juice bottle which you get 2 of. At a 35.00 price point I would say there will be quite a few people getting more interested in bottom feeding and with Rayon in the attys its a win win..

For those that my have used readyXwick, which do you prefer? Why? I have read most of this thread but can't recall how one cleans the Rayon. How is that done? Thanks.

Agreed with two others, re-wick and don't clean. The rayon is extremely affordable. Got 5 foot of it from Ebay for $2 as a means of sampling before investing more. I will be investing oh, about $17 - $19 for a big 3 lb box of it and have probably a life time of wick material. Find I am preferring the rayon over the reayXwick. My fumbling fingers have too much difficulty using readyXwick. Cramming or twisting through the coil is adverse when it is two stiff materials and fingers stiffen as well. Rayon on the other hand is pliable, soft and can be easily manipulated even if fingers do stiffen up, getting it through a coil is lickety split easy.

Is the bottom plate covering the bottle too easily removed? I.E. Will it fall off unexpectedly? I am considering this model for the next squonk kit I buy. Either it, or one of the S Body type from Angel Cigs. Kind of prefer not being locked into one device or their parts only. Will other juice bottles work in the Kanger model?

cap covering bottle has 2 magnets on it and seems to be on there pretty well. as far as the bottles ,they are soft and not ones I have seen in the wild, I am going to search for replacements just to have extras but they appear to be made pretty well. As i mentioned b4 its well worth the price compared to some of the previous entry squonkers that came out.

Okay, thanks for useful info. This helps me decide the goal for the penny brigade.

I didn't know they had a small box, thanks for the information.
there is a thin paper center strip in the small box. just pull it out as you cut off a piece to use. the tiny box will last you a longggggggg time.

How often do you find yourself washing and dry burning your current set up with readyxwic?

There is really no comparison, its the kind of thing you don't get until you get it. Rayon has been tested, by multiple people, to go 300+ml 2months 15,000 vapes with one single wick, no dry burning, washing, rewicking, ect. needed during all that time.. Silica gunks fast because the coil is constantly overheating because it doesn't wick fast enough. Same with cottons, ect.

With rayon you will not have to clean dry burn and maintain you set up anywhere near as much as other wicks. It just has to have proper density and tails for the atty.

So, I got one of these crap occ coils with the bachelor. Tried it for a second and pulled the wick and coil. Cotton still wet with juice... Laid it on a paper towel and 3+ days later the cotton was still ... wet. Didn't transfer the juice.

Just pulled a rayon wick out wet, laid it on a paper towel and less than 2 hours later the wick is dry and looks new. Juice transfered completely to the towel.

It's quite amazing if your coming from cotton.

Shows cotton doesn't release or transfer juice to your coil very well.
Very good way to explain the wicking of rayon bro!!

My goal is to get to a point where I understand how to make a consistent setup in this particular head.

I have three types of gear. My carto tanks with Sophia's, my billet boxes with bridge/kangaroo and my wood mods (Cubis tanks) that I am currently using factory 1.5 Clapton coils. Everything works beautifully but the factory Cubis coils where I dislike the cotton taste. Once I fix that then I will be a happy camper :p
Keep at it Krisma, you WILL find your method of perfection! It's trial and error until you do! And the whole time it's better than the stinkies!!! im sure you will get it soon! You are in the right place to help you get there!

Ok, little update, I have been TDY to Leavenworth for the past 4 days. I brought my billow because it is the one that I have gotten to work almost without an issue. Decided to pick up the gemini because of a few added features to the griffen. I wicked it up and it has been going strong since then. Have not even taken the deck off to look because I get no sizzle no hits that are even close to dry and I am loving it, I am on fill number 8 at this point.

Sound good, the only subohm tank I have is the Zephyrus which is dual coil only when using the rebuildable section. I have an orchid v3 which could be considered a subohm tank but also dual only, both the Zephyrus and Orchid are a freaking nightmare to build when compared to most anything else.

I want something easy to build, screws must not cut wire out of the box, single coil, nice airflow with 4+ml capacity.
I loved my orchid v3 until I got my billows... Just sayin. It's the same type build deck, but better air flow and wayyyy easier filling! Now billows has a v3 with velocity posts... Possible a single coil build on it.... My next rba for sure

Dude, I would have gone down to my local store and picked up some Kotex-U, a long time ago - no make that, the day I couldn't find my rayon. The fiber in there is good quality...

So the person reading today, thinking they need to try this right away.. I challenge you to pick up some ku rayon down at the local store and see how much better rayon is than cotton.
I wish I could hit the like button twice lol!!!
