I have both an AGA-t2 and RSST for my ProVaris. Both look good. Like, bad, I was trying the first before I invested the money in a ZAP. I still prefer carto tanks, but maybe someday I will change my mind.

I have ProRings from Loki Labs, gr-modders and the Cingulum Completo from TrevVarpors. All work well with those RBAs.

Yeah, I am probably going to wait a bit. I have a Diver now for my Billet Box. It is a great vape. Just haven't decided whether it is so much better than a carto to be worthy of the cost/aggravation factor. But I do enjoy the experimenting. I may also wait and see what Loki has up their sleeve. They make great stuff and have hinted about a few new products.

I think I understand your question, which goes beyond the scope of this thread but in the screenshot I'm using 1.2 ohms (thats very low for a provari) around 4.2 volts. A lot depends on what you're vaping (some juices react differently). There are charts, and videos (including the links in baditude's blogs and even videos in the ZAP order page) but the answer is trial and error. Plus lots of reading. More ECF = less trial 'n error :)

And dont let anyone act like they use their gennys mobile, even Zen himself says he keeps his at home. Some folks (probably hybrids or metalheads) probably do take gennys on the road but not this amish fella:)

+1 for kafun lite. It's the most trouble free, consistent vape for me. I will throw on a Carto tank or the aga t when at home tho.

No disrespect taken. ;) I can and have made the same comparison concerning the cost/quality/value of different cartotanks (of which are my specialty).

I held off purchasing an RBA for several months because I was intimidated by them. I read up on them and watched the videos. I did my homework, as I tell all new prospective RBA users to do. I already was pleased with my cartotank setups. I already knew ME. I'm not a fiddly-type person. I like things to work right out-of-the box. Would I really like trying an RBA? Not for $200.

I saw the AGA-T2 with the pyrex tank for $30, they were getting outstanding reviews, and decided to give that a whirl. It was a good investment for a first RBA. I liked it enough to purchase a second one, and for a while they were the best vape I've experienced yet. Then the fussy part came. They reminded me that I don't like tinkering. I presently haven't touched either of my AGA's for about 3 weeks because both need new coils, possibly new wicks. I know I will need to devote at least a half hour to each to get them working optimum again, and I'm too lazy to do it. My cartotanks are performing reliably, consistantly, as always. Aside from the amount of vapor production an RBA can provide, my cartotanks are every bit as good in providing great flavor as the AGA's.

Is my inconsistant experience with the AGA-T2's typical of them, or of RBA's in general? I don't know, I don't have another type of RBA to compare them. I have no regrets for starting with the AGA's, I learned a lot using them. Will I spend more on a better RBA in the future. I'm undecided. Being currently unemployed it won't be any time in the near future.

Thanks to reading your blog, "Bad", I am now a carto tank lover, I had been debating the RBA's but decided that if it got any better than the carto tank, I would be a mute because my lips would never leave my provari.....I am totally with you on the above...I'm not even going to try it... Btw, the rings look very cool, I have the silver mini provar and a couple 22mm ibtanked tanks, where should I find these rings??

Hey thanks for the info! Though I don't really consider the RBA coil ohm values to be out of scope, as it is my thread and it is in search of RBA info...hehe. :)

It is funny how when using cartos, anything below around 2.5 ohms makes my eliquids taste burnt. But with RBA, it is common to be well below that value. Guess that is why so many people use RBAs.

Anyway, time to do more research. Always amazed at how much information is on this forum.

I lived in Adamstown for a number of VERY happy years, and still make a very long drive to see my Doc in Denver twice a year. LOVELY country. I've yet to see the Amish vape though...

I'd have to second....or third? The Kayfun either lite or ES. Easy to set up and by far an outstanding vape. I toiled with gennys for a while, even thought I knew better and could rely on one out and about......nope. I could just never get one to vape better then a really good carto set up. But bottom coil RBAs, Term Cs, Killer 705s and now Kayfuns. I can't imagine it getting any better. I like all the bottom coil devices, I don't have a Herc but I have a Ithaka, great vape, but I just like the no hassle, easy and quick to set up Kayfun. The light has a slightly steeper learning curve then the ES, but still not hard to figure out. And most importantly, I find my Kayfuns to be more reliable and consistent than any other device I have used. Heck I even vaped one 18 days straight on Heavenly Army with out a rebuild.....with a cotton wick! It was pretty nasty when I finally did tear it down but it was still vaping away as good if not better then most other devices I have used.

I really wish Phiniac made a glass for the ZAP. One really cool aspect of the RBA's they do sell is the sandblasting. Would love to get a radiation symbol blasted onto my glass. Though I might get some funny looks at work..haha.

I had my run with gennys, and in the end, made U wicks with XC-116 for them.. Didn't leak that way. ;) I still have a couple of full sheets of 500 SS mesh around gathering dust. :)

BTW: About 25 years ago, I lived in Beech Island... I used to run a small bar there before you get to the Sandbar, (another bar, don't know if it's still there) called Pete's Place. (I'm not Pete) I used to get pretty good business from the workers coming from the Savannah River Site. It was kind of eerie seeing their radiation badges.. Hell, in my 50 years on this planet, I've lived practically coast to coast at one time or the other.. ;)

Hey Redhatpat, I admin on another forum and learned a long time ago...threads hardly ever stay on subject. So I don't mind at all. It makes the threads more personable and you learn more about who the people are your conversing with. So stray away...hehe..no problems by me. ;) Most of the business portion of my question was already answered in the first couple of pages anyway. :)

That is so funny...small world! I go right through Beech Island every day I work. And I work at Savannah River Site...hahaha. Yup, have to wear the stupid rad badges...they are called TLDs. Though 25 years ago was just before my time there. I have worked there 24 years.

This is great, so many to choose from. Thanks for all the responses. Has anyone tried the AGT titanium

I use one every day as my dedicated Pluid tank. I don't vape a tremendous amount of Pluid, it's more of a treat for me, so the AGT is perfect. Also it's a real looker on the Provari with an Atmistique Gemini tip:

You'll want to do a little drilling on the top cap and deck to get the best performance out of it, but once it's set up it's a great little tank. I call it my mini-genny. :2cool:

Thanks, nice assortment of devices there in the background. Looks like there is even one which is ribbed for her pleasure....hahaha. Sorry, bad drunk, couldn't resist that comment.

It may have been 26 years ago, and I was probably 24. I was on a job at IIRC, the first NutraSweet plant in Augusta. I was an industrial painter. I happened into Pete's Place after work one evening to find a very pretty German woman who wanted out of the business. I thought, "yeah, right, how much?" She said $2000.00 for use of her beer license till expiration, the coolers, stock, and cash register. The building was rented for $200.00 a month, and I just happened to have the 2 grand... It only lasted about a year, but I had a damn good time while it lasted.. :toast: 2 pool tables, a juke box, and a couple of "money-making" machines" ;) They were owned by a vending company with split proceeds..

Man, I wish I could go back in time... Well... maybe not... :p
