Phenom was just delivered to my office. Here are some quick pics of the deck and what it would look like on a Paps V3 w/hybrid adapter, best i can do with camera phone on my short lunch break.

The angle makes it look like the plastic tank is wider but it is actually flush.

I so want one!!!
Problem is I if loved it, I would not stop at one...

I finally understand the vape Porn analogy :)

Seriously though, Im not a cloud person. All about taste. I am under the impression the taste on these is rather phenomenal.
Is that correct?
Phenom Zest was added to my rotation and am vaping at 4v on my Ranger OKR-T10. .90 ohms 30g Kanthal coil.
The 3 air holes seem to give about 2mm air which is just enough imo. (happy camper :) )
Flavor is up there with the best as per the consensus here...

I just figured how to adjust the juice control, but not how to easily adjust the AFC ...?

FLAVOR

imo the flavor is always better with Temp Control and Ni or Ti wire because I'm invariably (with Kanthal or Nich) one time or another, going to scorch the coil/wick.
When that happens, it could be early on, could be later... but with TP that's not likely.
Because it takes that variable out of the equation I can always count on max flavor with TP.

I've moved to 24g Ti wire on all my TP mods, but haven't tried it in the RTA's that require a 1.5 to 2.5mm ID coil yet because its so thick.

Anybody using 28 or 30g Ti wire?

Ni200 is good but more "high maintenance" than Ti.
(I know some won't use TI, but if you do minimal tweaking I believe its safe enough)

Yes, no doubt it is one of the best flavor producers available today

Thank you. Thats quite the claim but it appears to be true judging by all that I have read the past few days.

I was not familiar with it but somehow fell into a thread somewhere where it was mentioned, and then somehow fell into a page with a contest. I entered but i never bother to do those things but the number of people piqued my interest enough i went back to the thread I had first stumbled upon and began reading.

Hearing that its one of the best flavour producers has just convinced me.....almost afraid to buy one for i know if i love it, I know i wont stop at one :(

thanks for the answer - i now for sure what to focus upon!

I know Sedge was running 24ga Ti in the Taifun GT2 in the form of a 2.5mm ID coil...he was really liking the performance.

BTW, your thoughts on nickel bring more high maintenance, were you using annealed or tempered...or does that not affect it?

No I have just straight Ni200... I don't know how to twist, temper, etc etc...
I read on another thread a good description of Ni200 I agree with where poster said you get a cooler vape with Nickel, and good flavor, but you can't dry burn, or clean it up, its quite soft too (30 and 28g Ni200). I have to change it out every couple days.

With Ti 24g, its just the opposite... very rugged.
Its thick, and it gets hot, but it gives great clean flavor, and more performance (instant gratification :vapor:.
Lasts a long long time. I rewick it every few days.
Just don't overheat it to form oxides, or scrape it.
*It works about 100 degrees lower than Ni setting; i.e. I set it at 310 to 350 degrees which compares to 400 to 450 degrees with Ni)

Some are twisting thinner Ti wire, and maybe some are using thinner Ti as is.... (ie, 28 or 30g Ti) not sure about that or how it is.

Interesting.
I'm only familiar with Kanthal so far but always willing to try others...

I am using Kanthal on a new Kangor subtank mini I have and I'm wrapping the coils specifically with the wick to a particular short length so they don't get in the way of the juice lines but even then, I am pretty disappointed in them.
(dry hits)

If it doesnt let up, perhaps I will try that instead.
In any event, I am keeping your post handy in a folder so I will remember that if and w hen i purchase one, which is beginning to appear as if it will be a done deal.

Thx

I usually dont use my devices in 18650 mode , but GUS are so much shorter in 650 mode that my hands can handle it so much better. My GP X's are very heavy so they never get used in full mode.

That "Delight" is soooooo purdy
The finish on the delight is super nice, it kinda shimmers in the light. GUS needs to just add it as a standard finish, it's too nice to be a limited edition.

If you don't like or haven't had much experience with coil making there are some pre made coils coming out with Ni200 from some of the Kanger-Type atomizers (for TP devices).
I think the flavor is superior in an RTA like Phenom vs. a Nautilus i.e. but having Ni and TP is going to improve things all around.

Atlantis TP coils just came out yesterday too. A lot of those new sub-ohm tanks now have nickel coil options for temp protected devices.

I've only tried the TC coils for the Subtank Mini but... meh. I set the Temp to 420 and can maybe get two or three drags before I hit Temp Protection. Very disappointed.

Hitting TP on the read out is misinterpreted to mean a bad thing... its not. It simply means it modulating the heat to stay within the setting!
You don't have to stop vaping when it does that.
If you want more heat just adjust it higher.
