Also amazes me that your own style can change/evolve so much. When I first started I absolutely hated anything that wasn't extremely tight mtl. Now it drives me nuts
Don't worry. You're on the right track. :D

Does anyone else find the Silverplay noisy? Or is it my build?

it's a little noisy but I don't find bothersome. I think it's about the same as the Hastur, less noisy than the Ammit rda, maybe the same as atomizer that came with the Dagger, and that's all I have filled on my table to compare it to.

Oh, my husband's Kabuki is a little quieter and now I'm going to puke with the taste of tobacco in my mouth.. lol

So I don't know, I see it as about average.

I don't know where my husband has put his filled siren so I can't do a quick comparison with that. .. I think it must be in his coat pocket still -he works nights. But even if that's quieter I'm not sure it would be much more so.. so..

I'd call the Silverplay average for noise when taking a drag..

The augvape intake is my daily, take to work, go fishing, out and about rta. It doesnt leak, quite restricted(comparatively) even wide open.
The Horus is probably my favourite top air right now, probably my favourite rta all round...(that and the Intake ), easy to wick flavourful, huge range on the airflow, no leaking.
I like all the top airflow tanks I have including the Elevate and could be happy with any one of them if I had to be.....but the horus and intake really suit me and get all the use.
What started me on a restricted lung and then lead me a more to wide open vape was the Advken Manta MTL rta. I couldnt get a satisfactory tight mtl draw out of it so I just went with the range of AF it offered and came to like it wide open. That was the end of tight, and even loose, mtl for me.

Agree on the Horace. Since you like the intake you might also like the Solomon V2. Very similar draw. I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other but I haven’t had them long enough to be sure about that.

I received the Solomon V2 just yesterday! Im still playing with it but so far I agree with you.
I have to get another Horus, the only one they had in store was a black and gold one. At the time I thought it was cool but in hindsight its a bit blingy for me, it does look striking with the red drip tip! I think I will grab a more understated SS or GM.
The more I sit and go between the horus and other rta's I have the more I appreciate just how good the horus is for me and my way of vaping.
>takes a few long draws on the dead rabbit with favourite Heisenberg juice <
if the dead rabbit was leak proof it would be a battle betwween the Horus and DR.....and a few others ;)

It’s not a whistle or something bothersome, but it’s “whooshy”.... just loud enough to bother Himself when I vape at night when he’s going to sleep. I’m still on my first build in it, so still trying to find my happy spot with it. What diameter coil are you using?

I got the silver and gold V2. It is problematic from an aesthetic view point also. All my mods are black, silver or black and silver except one that I painted. Its really hard to tie the black silver and gold altogether. Ive got about 20 tabs open looking for a mod that might work and bring it altogether.
I spray painted a Sinuous P80 gold because I thought the Horus would look good on it. It didnt, and neither does the V2.
The struggle, its real.

I just built my new Coppervape Skyline MTL RTA. It's probably going to make me retire my Kayfuns. Flavor is good and the vapor is mild and flavorful. It's easy to coil and wick and has adjustments for juice and air flow. It comes with pop in air port inserts for DTL to MTL. I'm using the 3 hole air insert and it's just right for a Kayfun v2 MTL vaper. This may be the new Kayfun v2 killer.

Recommendations for an old school vaper

True! I’m a jeans -n- t shirt girl. I spend more time matching my vapes than my wardrobe. Just thought, why don’t they make denim mods? Everything goes with denim!

at the moment it is a 3mm id coil I'm fairly certain

it is whooshy on the inhale, but I wasn't finding it moreso than any other ...

there is always the sound of air on the inhale, every atomizer seems to have its own sound or pitch or level of noise, so maybe it's the pitch that is bothering himself, or maybe your taking in more air than you usually do or for longer?

I’m pretty sure I have a 2.5 in both. I need to change out the af adjuster in one, so it’ll need a new build. I think it’s the sound of the air that bothers him. (He has pitch hearing loss from years of hunting and working with power tools in the shop.) Changing the coil diameter in one will be a good test. Overall, I’m really glad I ordered three, it’s a good fit for me. I just need to dial it in.

I rebuilt the Silverplay with a 3mm coil.... BIG difference in flavor. It’s good with a 2.5, 3 is excellent. I’ll have to rebuild the other one now. I may have to check if eightvape has any left at $10. Freaking bargain!
Enabler.
Not only did I order the Silverplay but also the Advken CP TF rta. It was on sale too.

. I have one more Silverplay and the Intake in my cart. And....You started it!!! I wouldn’t have bought the first three except you talked it up! Glad you did, with a 3mm coil, I’d pit it against my RDAs for flavor

All on you Mel. Silverplay wasn't even on my radar until you tagged me about it. Hell you may end up with mine too if its not loose enough.
