Hahah. Hey, Brewdawg. I was googling kayfun 5 specs last night and guess what came up in my search? Our conversation in Bronze's thread about air intake hole diameters. That made me smile.
Too cool- we're famous. Finally!
Do we start getting some sort of royalty check or something?

    Holy Moly batman ;)

Time to use the multi quote thingimabob

But flavor is spot on if not better?

it's flavor that concerns me since I'm into flavor chasing..

Flavour is beyond spot on in the elevate and even better than the serpent mini

Yes, but it is my understanding the OP did not mention anything about the number of air holes.

Yep, I made no restrictions on what's restricted ;) Everyone vaped differently and that's one of the things I love about vaping - the variety

I'm considering the SXK 2k18 doggy, it's just a smidgen larger than my SJMY, which I like very much. I like the top fill. Looks good. How's that top fill feature working for you? And they still haven't fixed that AFC ring?

I'm back to using my sjmy. But mainly because I prefer the vape from it. The only thing that annoyed me with the 2k18 was the metal top so close to the drip tip I use. Didn't like how my mouth would touch it

    dt.jpg
Of course this is only an issue if you have a fixation with the zenith tanks' drip tip
With the sjmy, the tip sits clear from the tank when vaping

Top fill worked well, jfc is controlled by twisting the drip tip and rotating the chamber shut. I also shut the airflow hole when filling.

I'd get an occasional dribble in the airflow hole after a build. But if I used jfc - subsequent refilling was gurgle free.

With having the top cap it's a quieter vape than the sjmy

One day, we'll actually get definitive pressure ratings in the specs from mfgs, instead of having to have these discussions and do mental extrapolation from: below port intake/af hole dia/chimney/DT size, or trial and error. Then we can spend more time arguing about "best mod ever," "is Juul evil," "clone vs. authentic," and stuff like that. :)

I mean, it's not like it's rocket surgery or brain science to measure pressure. You listening, Phil? Anyone who reviews?
Maybe we need someone like Mooch who can start measuring lung pressure capacity as milli-PascalHours (mph). :2cool:

I don't (as I don't own a Zenith tank), and I usually use my own drip tips anyway. I hate it when my lips get close to the atty and/or heating coil. Yikes. I have no idea how people can vape with those super shorties.

I prefer the esthetics of the 2k16s, but I was hoping that by refilling from the top I would minimize my interactions with that annoying AFC ring. It's not a deal breaker, but it is annoying. In my cart. ;)

I have some coming to try out... the beserker 1.5,

Hmm... I looked at the early reviews, but found this:

Vandy Vape Berserker V1.5 MTL RTA Review | Strictly for MTL - Vaping360
Now, how tight is it? Well, it’s very tight. There is no loose MTL option on this RTA. At the lowest setting you really need to suck hard like trying to suck a milkshake through a straw, and even at the largest setting is very tight and takes some effort to inhale. Similar to the original Berserker, this RTA is not for people who like a loose MTL vape – restricted DL is absolutely out of the question.

So I gave up on it. But maybe you can tolerate tighter draws? Keep us posted, please.

It's easy. When you're vaping at 120-125 watts the vapor enters your lungs so fast you're taking like only 2-3 second hits and so it doesn't have time to burn your lips as the relatively strong airflow cools down both the vapor and the coils, fairly enormously in fact, yet, true warriors feel no pain. :D

I'll take your word for it. ;)

Do you swallow swords and fire also?

I have some coming to try out... the beserker 1.5, an ehpro true, and 3 silverplays ($10 each at Eightvape, so 3 for less than Vapordna has for one). I do like the ammit mtl rta. We’ll see how these compare.
You're gonna love that True, Nola! It's dethroned my doggies - absolutely the most thick, dense, flavorful vape I've had. Be sure your orings are in good shape and seated properly though. A couple of people had leaks right out of the box because of them.

Can't remember if I've seen you on this thread, but here it is in case you haven't seen it:Calling all Dog lovers - The Ehpro True MTL RTA

Well honestly guys, I think I've found my unicorn. This silverplay is it for me...

I've not had to go in and clean a coil or anything yet so maybe I'll be annoyed later, but I've no leaks, not even sweat underneath the RTA, perfect flavor, lovely looks, easy enough to build. ..

I think I'm done looking, and done buying, RTA's... unicorn found. (for me). This is it - finally.

I thought about buying the Elevate, but you know I'm so happy I'm thinking wth.. I'll skip it.. that elevate might be good, but with unicorn in hand it's just not at all tempting ..

    :sigh: :vapor:

Here is the gunmetal sitting on top of my gmz P3:

As you can see, for the provari there is a little overhang, but of course on my Tesla or pretty much any other mod there isn't any overhang at all, and for the times I use the Provari's I think I can live with the overhang for the vape I get..

So yeah.. I think I found home anyway.. going to buy more and be done. For those time I am worried about looks and overhang I have 20 RTA choices in my box.. lol.

Glad you found a keeper/winner, it sets the standard for everything else you try after or b4. If the doggystyle wasn't my very first RTA I may not be as fussy as I am  but when you find a winner - it sets the bar pretty high.

safe distance from a black hole
Possibly too tight, but reviews are subjective to their definition of what’s tight/loose. If it’s too tight, I can either PIF it, or drill out the af ring maybe. There’s enough people crazy about it, I won’t be stuck with it.
Its tight even on the most open setting. I drilled out the af ring and the af under the coil and it was still too tight. I have a few of them. It was at one stage my favourite mtl rta but I dont mtl anymore. If I could have got it to be as open as a advken manta mtl rta I wouldve been happy but I couldnt get close even drilling it out to maximum tolerances.
But, all of that carries a big "ymmv" :)
