20 minutes to mix, 2 months to steep... This stuff better be worth it!
Just gotta try to make it then forget about it. Purilum Sweet tobacco completely changes after a month and a half. At first It tasted like 555 to me which I don't like much. Then, after a long steep it became something wonderful. Custards need a long steep. It is a beautiful thing when the change happens.

So the Pico committed suicide?
First one to ever die in my possession, a Fast tech, $16, throw away, Chinese mod! Yes, it committed suicide, couldn’t bare to sit next to VA and Dicodes and consider its self an equal! Now, I am waiting for my DotSquonk to commit suicide...

It's either the siicone pad behind button or the foam insulator under the spring loaded battery contact, or liquid under button. All known issues.

@jfcooley You mentioned "Audiophile" foolishness a while ago...

This is a bit of the full on ......ed crap that some of these Audiophool's believe in.
Brilliant COPYRIGHTDMCA Advanced Audio Video Tweak

You tape little bags of COPYRIGHTDMCA to your cables or place them around the room etc...
"Brilliant COPYRIGHTDMCA significantly improves dynamic range and lowers distortion of the audio system"
https://www.machinadynamica.com/mikro-COPYRIGHTDMCA.jpg

Seems like we are all in the wrong business, there is a ton of this type of snake oil crap out there that people are willing to part with big money for...
Yeah, I read about those.
You're right though, I wish I could import cheap cables and repackage/brand them then charge $1000's fo them.

My favorite besides the rocks are a box that just sits in your room and the $3500 network cable that is directional.

now dot is asking me what maintenance I have done and sent me a diagram on how to disassemble the dot.
That image comes from this page dotSquonk Cleaning, Installation, and Electrode Removal Instructions – dotmodretail
The earliest google cache I could find was May 13th, that indicates it's fairly new (I'd guess 0-2 months, the youtube video on that page is from May 3rd...).

Did your dotsquonk come with a print of that diagram? Does the manual (assuming there was one) mention regular maintenance is required and either referring you to the printout or a website that does show the maintenance process? How are you supposed to know what to do and disassemble the device without causing damage?

If none of those came with the device then it's an attempt to blame the consumer in retrospect. If that information was somehow promoted by them then why did users on the device's thread in ecf have to figure out on their own how to disassemble it?
With my narrow knowledge of the device it seems to me it was never designed with regular maintenance in mind. I own things (outside vaping) that were designed with easy maintenance by the user in mind, they all come with very clear instructions and don't have retention features like "let's pinch this thin walled piece of plastic into place with metal screws".

That company appears kinda fishy, it seems to always be somebody else's fault when their devices fail.

Actually no. There was no manual, only the authenticity card. No discussion with them on "maintenance" until yesterday. Caught me off guard because the way it's built there is no clear way to maintain the device.

I've taken mybmechs apart and cleaned them. Straightforward procedure. Looking at the dot it's not even apparent how to actually disassemble the dam thing, and even then you can only reach/clean in tight spaces.

I sent the pic and they have not replied. I really don't know why I'm bothering, I won't use a mod from them again.

I think I'm mostly irritated that I have no solution. Not like they're gonna redesign that damn switch.

Good morning shiners! Heavy fog here but as I don't have to drive in it I can just appreciate the cool effect of not being able to see 100 ft out the window.

Got some good news for myself. They're finally letting me out of here. Almost six months of this stuff. I'm almost back to 100% but still need more physical therapy. I'll be stuck in an assisted living type place to continue the physical therapy, but it beats being in this hospital. It also means I won't be limited to stealth vaping in the bathroom.

why do they all do that? I know they do not know it is a camera but all three of mine will be looking right at me for hours end and as soon as they see the camera they look straight down :(

My birds know it’s a camera, and they love getting their pictures taken. They pose. They want to see the pictures. Best pets ever for learning how to use a new camera. I can fiddle with the settings, practice using the tripod, they are more cooperative than any other living thing, even plants.

@Eskie That is fantastic news! You must be very excited and relieved. BIG :rickroll:TO YOU!!

Yup it's great news. Hopefully another few months and I might even be able to dance again. Just the freedom to come and go as I please without having to get a doctor to issue an order that I can go out by myself is a big winner.

That is awesomely awesome. I only had three weeks of inpatient incarceration and it sucked every day all day.

You ought to demand they throw you a party. Draft beer, live music, speech! Speech! How'd you do it?
