Queensryche. My cousin is a big fan. If they still have the same lead singer should be good. Not a band I followed back then.

I don't believe the singer is the original, but, the new guy is very good. They will be awesome. IMO

One of the greatest bands ever. I have everything they did until 2012. Unfortunately, one of the depressing typical break up stories in rock history. Geoff Tate was one of the best lead singers ever to take the stage. His wife managed the group and his daughter managed the fan club. Things boiled over in 2012. Legal battles, actual physical fights, and Tate was gone.
I think it took 2 years to settle. In the end, I think the lead guitarist, bass player, and drummer won the rights to the name. But Tate won the rights to the rock opera Operation Mindcrime.
The music sounds the same, but now they have this squeaky dude wailing. Sad.

The band that irks me is Lynyrd Skynyrd. Best southern rock band ever, IMO, but the current lineup shouldn't be able to call themselve Lynyrd Skynyrd, It's none of the original members.

Good morning shiny folk. Trying to wake up. Kinda busy day ahead. Kiddo came over last night, it was fun. Even the husband is talking sadly/fondly about him leaving. LOL, at least I'm not alone. I know it's gonna be okay but...

No shinyitis (or mail) happened. Gah. Still wondering about my package.

My package that SHOULD be delivered by Tuesday or else LOL.

Both have classic rock voices. Should be fun.
It’s too bad that financial needs push many of these guys to continue. I think it’s better to preserve the myth in our minds. So many fond memories, shaped our lives. Reduced to fair concerts instead of stadiums. Also a stark reminder of our own aging.
You’ll relate to this one. Before the world discovered this group, everyone in Illinois had seen them multiple times. He rates as one of the most exciting guitarists ever.

Famous guitarist from my hometown, Randy Rhoads, went on to play with Ozzy Ozborne. I remember him well, in our living room, before the glam rock thing took off. My brother was in a band with him and my high school years were filled with endless jamming at our house because my mom was gone and she allowed it. No homework done at my house. Here is a pic of him and my brother (on the ladder) and this is the beginning of Quiet Riot.

I got so tired of REO and Foreigner in high school. Radio just played them too much. Still seldom listen to either of them. I seldom preferred the more commercial bands, they all sound alike.
For me it’s Led Zeppelin. I was in a band too, and that was all we played. Totally ruined it for me. I’d rather hear the Brady Bunch theme than Stairway to freakin Heaven lol
