my 1 year vapeversary present to myself arrived. seems the royal mail decided not to send it back east. my first mod with the wood of stability. a couple of pictures...
vapes? great. TC is accurate though i'm not using it much currently. fires quickly. nice feel to the button which is quite comfy using thumb or finger. nice weight to it despite the wood. batteries fit nicely and there's a ribbon to aide removal. the looks? oh yeah. for me at least it's a stunner.
three niggles...well just two that'll be ongoing. there's some play on the battery panel. it doesn't rattle if the mod is shaken but i can feel it move under my fingers sometimes. also it's difficult to remove if you have no nails (i don't). third niggle which isn't, now, ongoing. there was blue film stuck over the ultroner badge which was rather difficult to remove. felt like i was going to end up scratching the wood. 5 minutes of careful picking got it but why was it even there in the first place? hmph.
pleased? yes i am. roll on two years.
Good morning shiny folk, I woke up later than usual, still not exactly AWAKE. I haven't even planned any shiny other than a lot of cleaning and a grocery store trip and etc. And also, like things like "paying off my car" and that type of stuff seem exciting. LOL. I'm sure I'll shiny more but not TODAY.
Man, though was it nice to sleep in. Hard to sleep last night excitement maybe plus the husband's tooth grinding and moaning and stuff.
It's either going to be a Minikin or a Lost vape Mirage though. I will hold out as long as I can. LOL.

Agree completely about diy mixing by weight. It means you don't have to take off all those nozzles off flavours each time to syringe, no cleaning and more accurate.
You soon get a feel for how many drops = 0.05g.
Best advice I read regarding a scale is - get one with an auto-shutdown time of at least 60 seconds. And most important - get one than measures down to 0.01g. Mine cost $13.
I also use a small plastic cup on the scale - and put the bottle in that. Saves me knocking the bottle over.
To measure - you squirt in one ingredient till it's at the correct weight - hit tare - squirt in the next. It's that simple.
My startup costs were: scale, nic, VG, pg, empty bottles and some flavours.

Not quite ready to pull any triggers YET, LOL my bout of financial insecurity is causing me to not run out and buy a new shiny THIS MINUTE, first I have to do things like chores, grocery shop and you know, have paychecks coming in steadily. Although man, that price is Tempting. LOL.

Skipping the Ghoul and giving the Nudge 22 another look see. Still getting the Recurve. Also took a look at the Flave bf rdta clone, kind of noisy imo but could have been the build.
Just remember the recurve thrives as a squonker, not much of a well at all.
