Those temps arewhy it did not bother me to much not to go.

I wouldn’t have gone either. Maybe in the winter... I’d like to be somewhere it never got cold enough to snow or hot enough to melt the shoes off my feet.

Good morning shines, still pondering placing a pre-order for the billet box mod that comes with a DNA250C faceplate and a PWM. About a 2 month wait for the device and would be the priciest mod to date. But my gosh is it stunning and will handle any build you throw at it with virtually ramp-up time. Only con I see is that it’s quite sizable. Will definitely be a home unit, not for the out and about

I’ve always admired people who can play lead. I can flat pick and finger pick a little, but rhythm is my destiny lol.

Since I was 15 (until a year or so ago) I've played in bands. I was the one who sat down and figured out the lead licks, so I became the lead player. I've always enjoyed that role. I'm a Grandpa now!

Most any player who can force themselves to sit down with a CD player and listen closely can play lead as long as they are willing to work and develop finger dexterity and dedicate themselves to figuring out how the licks are played. YouTube is a good source for watching and learning.

Yeah, the YouTube. I don’t know how I survived before that lol. I still don’t think everyone has the talent for lead- I was in a couple bands way back, and some of those guys were awesome, some not so much.

My daughter’s a natural. Picked up a guitar at 13. A couple days later I was walking past her room and leaned in to tell her to turn the stereo down, but it was her. Playing Sweet Dreams.

I was always a big Paul Simon fan so I kind of focused on picking. My Guild looks beat to hell because that’s what I always grab. I’m kind of looking for a decent practice amp though, I have a Strat getting dusty in the closet. I couldn’t play it for a long time after my shoulder screwed up but I think I should be okay to now.

I'm just waiting for first of September, doesn't the world revolve around kickoff?

LOL as long as it doesn't revolve around a bended knee anymore. For a while, I though "Brain injuries are going to take out football." I was shocked to find the power of a bended knee might be what could do it.

Also, I do want to point out the power of the boycott, I think every player signs an "I will not disrespect America" clause these days after that whole fiasco, which I am also fine with, a sport with High Head Injuries is not where you want to make your "political statements" they tend to come off "incoherent."

Ah the power of the boycott now if only I could freeze out the FDA by boycotting meds, but alas, they kind of have the monopoly on this one as even if I could get out of Nogales without a body cavity search, well, I don't really trust the tourist pharmacia. Etc.

I thought the picture of the sun meant “Sunny”, apparently there it means “same temperature as the surface of the sun”. Makes my swim in the humidity hot weather sound tolerable. Almost

You and my brother . Y’all even have matching gold tops! What y’all don’t realize, is what a true gift it is to be able to play by ear. I think most adept players can watch someone play and catch the fingering, but to hear it and be able to do that takes someone like y’all that has “The Gift”. Just my :2c:

Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. As long as the bargaining agreement (contract) allows it (I'm not sure if it does or not) this is the perfect platform for them to use. I believe in the right we have as Americans for peaceful protests. And in my opinion, they are not disrespecting America, just trying to bring attention to police brutality which I have known personally.
Just my 2 cents.

That's fine with me @whodat2112 , I am usually happy to disagree happily enough, so no worries here.

Are the police brutal? Is North up on a map? Etc,.etc., I just found it a little incoherent that as I understand it, the dude that started it all was like, adopted into a white family and was also trying to get a LOT more money in his NEXT contract, but also, I HIGHLY doubt he was doing it for his brothers and sisters in arms, exactly, but more had been taught, like many youth these days, that calling attention to yourself and being a media ..... was like, a good way to get ahead.

I mean... He found out it wasn't and I am NO footballer, but I never got the impression that they were in the locker room, carefully planning it out. "Have you ever been the victim of police brutality?"
"Yes, I have, before I got DRAFTED I got shot one time by the police, thank GOD it wasn't my throwing hand...."

Because, you know, head injuries.

Of course, that's not really fair, I mean, they are cumulative over the life span and the really scary looking ones are the elder statesmen like John Elway who stagger out to hand out the Heisman Trophy and etc.

I also think that Football is more brutal than any sport besides RUGBY, LOL, and if guns and mace were permitted on the field well, they'd not only be used, but used FREQUENTLY and there would be, like a Weekly Draft.

But none of this is to detract from YOUR experiences or anything, my son was the victim of police brutality (although quite frankly he somewhat DESERVED it in my estimation) and yeah yeah, police brutality is bad.

It is also something that "dropping to a knee" is not going to fix. Although frankly, after having spent most of a day inside Pima county jail watching the correctional officers I am THRILLED my kid is gone, and I am also THRILLED that I will be fleeing the area ASAP.

I mean, the fact that I would be dead or incarcerated by Christmas if I brought Suit Against the Pima County Sheriff's department CONTRACTOR was a huge motivator for me to NOT do it. I am 100% serious about THAT.

Having a nice day so far. Took myself out for breakfast, great idea because I haven’t done that in years, bad idea because it’s Sunday, they were packed. But I sat at the counter so I got fed quickly, and brought my book, read a few pages.

I got in 30 push ups this morning and promised myself something shiny when (if) I make it to 50. Gonna go cannonball into the pool now lol.

Oh, and the aegis did come out for a swim yesterday. Didn’t throw it in or anything, but it got a little wet. Can’t even tell. Too hot to bring Rudy out today though - 96. He can hardly breathe to pee. He can stay in, in the ac.
