morning all.
after 10 days in transit (usually 2 or 3 days from on east par avion) my furyan has finally touched down. it'll no doubt get kicked into the corner of some dimly lit royal mail warehouse and appear some time mid-october. 4 other shipments are banging around a hold elsewhere.
enjoying the freemax double mesh coils in the fireluke (hitting it with 80W) and my new watermelon wallop (recipe below).
apart from that there's little of note. apart from still riding the chili train...carolina reapers, thor's superhot, smoked naga bhut jolokias, habaneros and 7 pots.

You can add me to the not in love with pico group. Surprises me because I’m a long time eleaf fan. I think it’s because they’re just big for what they give you. Nothing fancy, might as well go with an istick 30. And also, their tanks, meh. I’d trade my picos for swags. Size is similar but swags are almost weightless.

And for once, I have nothing coming. Got my AVS yesterday, 3 spoils of SS, plus they tossed in a jar of premade coils.

I bought and tried a little of everything last time. There wasn’t one that clearly stood out for vaping, but some are easier to cut without fraying, ( I do need to sharpen my side cuts though lol) and the braided ones vape nice at first but get funky faster, I think.

I still have a lot to learn though.

Well it’ll just be for me to goof with, doesn’t need to impress anyone. My old one is a barcus-berry, probably about 20 lbs, 10” speaker. But it never had very good soul s and it’s 40 years old, lol, wonder if it even still works. There’s a good shop not too far away, where I got the strat. I’ll look there first. I’ve been kind of afraid to even go in for strings because they have some really nice stuff.

You'll be impressed with the digital sounds and effects in amps these days. Take your credit card when you go. It's hard to walk out once you've fallen in love with a new amp!

Back in the old days amps were just amps. They had reverb and tremolo at best. New amps have most of the effects pedals built in, so you save a LOT of the cost of buying outboard pedals and having to plug them up and keep batteries in them. Digital effects are surprisingly good compared to the old analog devices.

I bet. The last amp I bought was fir my daughter. Just a little practice Crate. Didn’t have a lot of effects, 3 maybe, but she had a lot of fun with it.

Guitar Center is a good starting place. The stores sell everything at the same price you see online. They have lots to choose from and will let you hook them up and try them in the demo room.

Haha No barbecue today. I survived. May need to change dinner plans lol. The smoke started to clear up in the evening. Hopefully may see double digit temperatures by Sunday.
