The silver relic Miniken is my fav purchase this year hands down. I do like the rotten metal but this SR looks like a piece of jewelry. it is fine and shiny and bright. We girls like stuff like that ;)

I’m trying to figure out the difference in the SR, Rotten Metal and Raw finishes. I may have to get one too!! I need to stay off this thread lol!!

I am also thinking of another Minikin 2 - I currently own one, and my only thought is the longevity of the mod. If the touch screen goes awry there is no way to adjust settings. I have only had mine for about a month, and in my book it's a rather pricey mod to take a chance with. Has anyone owned one for a good while?

What I mean is, I can get another Modefinined Sirius for $35 shipped, whereas the Minikin is roughly $60.00. I am both cheap and broke :)

Also the Sirius I am thinking of getting would be red as I already have a grey and a blue. So I would need a red atomizer, and I haven't seen one that strikes my fancy in red, any suggestions? I like bottom airflow, tank atomizer, extremely good airflow (I figure I can always adjust the airflow down, but never up) If an atomizer with the airflow fully open isn't airy enough, it's pretty much unusable in my opinion. I have tried top airflow in the past and haven't really found one to my liking.

They’re pretty similar it looks like, but I think the raw is darker, the SR being the lightest and more silver than gray.

But I’d have to see them all in person to be sure. When my SR gets here, if anyone would like to send me their raw and RM I’ll gladly compare them.

When it rains all day like it's time to build an ark is when my sump pump croaked.
No emergency pump on the shelf so it's off to Lowes for a shiny new pump.
Sounds calm & relaxed right? Not so much.
Nothing got wrecked this time but an hour later and Lowes would have been closed.

Oh good it's raining again :w00t:

That’s always been my worry that the sump pump would fail. I should get a small backup just in case!

I had a damp basement in my house back east, we had to sump pump it.

The worst time it flooded was well, we had a "toilet" down there. I never used it the whole basement was terrifying, and I don't think ANYONE used it, actually but as the "lowest toilet" and I mean that in all senses of the word, well, we got a blockage in our plumbing and so the lowest toilet began to overflow.

We were really super broke and instead my husband decided to attack it with one of those things roto rooter owns, only he'd never used one before (it was also rented by the hour, and fairly expensive, so he was "in a rush" as it were.)

He called me, distraught, giving me a blow by blow account of what happened, including the monstrous plumbing "arm" wrapping itself around his lower legs, drawing blood on one of them, and culminating in a tale of how poop went in his MOUTH and all the struggles and encounters and awful things, and I am afraid I laughed, almost involuntarily once he finished his tale, and said, "Oh my.... no one has ever LITERALY eaten poop for me before...."

Only then I came home to the basement and the full reality hit me as like, WELL YOU SHOULD REALLY CALL ROTO ROOTERS even if you have to sell a kidney for it, I wound up mopping up about an inch and a half of just well, I'm surprised I didn't just MOVE but I felt so bad for the husband I ended up mopping it and cleaning it all up myself.

Reminds me of the time during a hard freeze ice storm when I had a pipe burst in the ceiling between 1st and 2nd story. I knew nothing until everything thawed out. Then, SPLOOSH! Water started coming through the downstairs ceiling. By the time I got the main water valve cut off the carpet, ceiling, and the dining room table were soaked and water streamed down into the basement. Lot of fun for a while...

Good luck with yours!

The pump thing was annoying but one of my friends is recovering from a stroke.
He's a mechanic. Working hands are important.
I got to start this built 440 monster first, inside the hut, before it had any exhaust.
660HP is obviously inadequate so he'd been building a stroked ~530ci for it.
I haven't punned him about strokers yet but I'll go there soon enough.
This beast only did 9's in the 1/4 mile with 15" tires.
He's expecting the 530 to get into the 8's
180MPH in an '81 pickup should be fun.

It was minor although exciting. If Lowes was closed it would have been worse.

You described a nightmare. And Stols' hubby had a ....ty time LOL.

LOL, he usually does. LOL, it really made me realize why plumbers can charge what they do, OMG.

I remember my mom selling her house that had a septic tank only she had no concept of "maintenance" and stuff or like "routine maintenance" and what could go in it or not. This is not atypical with her for any house "thing", LOL I think she was there for about 7 years. The dude who came to "empty it' was like wading around up to his NECK talking about tampons and other stuff and the amazing part was, he remained cheerful and polite the ENTIRE time. Although I think the bill was high enough to "warrant" said "cheer."

Although I couldn't help but feel that he had lost his way somehow to his rightful calling: Leader of the UN.
