afternoon all.
guy i sold the vinci x to loves it! even treated me to some calvados to celebrate. repeatedly. he was actually vaping before i was but went back to the smokes some time ago.
FT issued me a new tracking number for something that had supposedly already shipped. odd. for probably the first time ever the package contains nothing vape related. it comprises of clothes that probably won't fit. needed new skate shorts but as i have titanium scaffolding in my elbow i no longer skate. I'm daft but not that daft.

My mach on3 is out for delivery and I got a tracking number from the YouTuber who said that he would send me a Delta mod in case the squonk bottle goes bad on mine since they don't sell them separately and they are very proprietary. I forgot to ask if I could release his name but I thought it was really nice of him. :) and then I have some fasttech mail that's probably still in China

How long does this phase take or is it different for everybody? It sounds like top notch care your getting! What are you doing to keep your mind busy? Do you read? Or are you not up to it right night?

Im okay. Been a tough week for pain. The weather really effects my fibro and my hip. I was starting to walk more without a cane but I’m mostly back to using it this week. I think it’ll be up n down like this for awhile. Through the winter at least.

Thanks for asking Charlie :)
The phase I'm in last a good week for most people provided you don't develop complications. It seems to be hitting me quite hard and has given me a fever so they check for sepsis every 3 days. I have been ok so far without any signs of infection. It's a very risky time with defenses so non existent.

Yes they are a really good specialist team. They don't muck about....I'm already on antibiotics because they don't want to take risks....and the peripheral care is amazing :)

I read, go on the exercise bike, walking machine and of course surfing on here etc:)

I'm reading Bill Bryson's latest offering. It's called the body and I would highly recommend it to anyone. He's so funny.

Sorry to here that the weather sets you back a bit but that's to be expected. Sounds like you're doing the right thing. Always listen to your body I'm told. I wouldn't see it as a setback just a part of the process as clearly you need to learn what you've learnt already......just to be able to do it when it's cold.....So just part of the process really

Oh well, back to my swag 2 :D

Yeah this is a top notch atty Ange. Found it a bit of a challenge to build though. Actually just something to get used to...
The clamp holes are far apart so coil needs to be big..ish. To judge the coil lead length is also a bit of an issue. I had to use clapton wire to build a coil that fits there. Didn't have anything that fits. I actually have but they are wound counter clock wise and don't fit the deck.
But yeah i'm very proud of it. This will be in my rotation for a while. Love the heat sink for the low profile tips. You can get them lips right in there, without getting them burnt...pretty cool. I'm not very used to it, but it works for better flavor.

I have some questions for you shiney folks, please.

I think it's in this thread that I saw people talking about getting the Cthulu Tube mod with the Dual Mosfet chip? If so, do you like it? Is it a good mod? Is it easy to operate? I am not planning to use it unless all my regulated mods die and I will study up on safe useage first. Do you know if the Mosfet Dual chip is widely available and would it be a good idea to buy extras of that chip? Is there a better, similar set up I should consider?

Thank you all very much in advance!!
Yep I have it and it's always a good idea to have some mosfet spares. They are readily available either from the modmaker or generic on fasttech.

I often build it with my Ataman V2 on top. Obviously, the main thing to consider is the battery and therefore your builds....but built correctly with a decent 18350 you can get decent battery life. Fogstar cell one of the best 18350's on the market.

As far as similar set ups go I also have the Ultroner mini stick and I absolutely love it. I'd highly recommend it :D

I hope that helps.

I’m having a try again tomorrow kind of evening... but I did get the coil in one of the Axials! (Sort of). Couldn’t get the af to adjust, so went with a beefier coil than normal. Wound said coil backwards . Gave up, screwed it in, and am trying it as a dripper. Awesome flavor, not too hot for me (surprised at 30w it’s not!) Thanks for nudging me, @Skunk! , love it, and seeing more in my future :). The stainless, the af is stiff, but turns. Any idea how to get this one to move? Thumbnail photo, cause.. dang it’s a wonky, crooked coil...but it fires!

I found this on the fasttech website. The tiny grub screw on the bottom of the atty plugs up the bf pin. Not sure how well it works, I haven't tried doing this.
Standard 510 pin?: FastTech Forums
The person at the bottom of this discussion states it leaks from the grub screw when it's installed. Maybe a really small piece of teflon tape would seal the threads on the grub screw?
Spare squonk or standard 510 pin: FastTech Forums

Edit: info already posted :)
The "Squonking at Fasttech" thread in their forum has been a treasure trove of great info.

I hate blood sepsis. All that heart racing, then stopping till you feel like you've died a hundred times, the fever, cold sweats, and chills, plus the nausea/headaches, it's overwhelming. I hope you don't get sepsis, I went through this b.s. for three weeks. Mine was an anti-bacterial resistant variety, so maybe I'm the exception to the rule. Get well Charlie.

Morning evening!
COTTON!

anyone tried those uncut tube cotton packs like SUper Sorb, Steamwave Cotton One or the like (there's a Vandy one too i think)?

also anyone tried the Fuzion cylinder thing? too expensive?

just wondering how practical the types are and if anyone tried the particular products? not worth the expense etc? [i'm having a hard time comparing prices between pads, tubes measured by length and the like of Fuzion measured by grams too]

That map of fire locations is wrong. I understand the purpose is to put a comparitive scale to the size of the problem but there are no fires in the central desert or on Cape york (or some of the other places in the"map"). I get that it's meant well but just doesn't represent our country at all.
That's not a criticism of you Skunk, just a comment from a frustrated Aussie that has seen our country misrepresented completely in world (especially US) media for decades.

But yes there has been some rain in parts of Victoria and NSW over the last few days. Not enough to break the drought but better than nothing
At least people mostly remember you exist, instead of leaving you off the map altogether, like New Zealand.
