Hello Charlie! I was actually thinking of you when w was typing that post! How are you? And don’t say “fine”! I always tell people “I’m fine” when things aren’t fine lol! So no self editing. Is being home feeling good. When I’ve been in there hospital for any length of time I actually kind of miss it. Probably because I get 3 meals a day. I don’t cook so I eat a lot of cereal and pop tarts!! Plus there’s structure. Being out of work for so long can be monotonous and days just blur together. And there are people to talk to which I don’t get at home. Sounds stupid and silly I know. Of course I’ve never been hospitalized for as long as you have been.

What have you been doing to keep your mind at least busy? I don’t know how much if any physical activities you can do without getting fatigued.

Do you family or friends where you are? That helps a lot for most people.

So I imagine you came home to a lot of vape mail to open. What was the BIGGEST shiny you received?

I hope you have a great weekend!!
Hi Sara

So ok I won't say fine. My infection (which is fungal) is rapidly getting better and damage caused has been reversing itself so I hope that by the end of my antifungal meds my lungs will be near as damnit back to their status from before. I will then start to wean myself off the oxygen...hoorah.

Am loving being back home. Six weeks in hospital is no joke. I actually went back yesterday for a consultation and then transfusions for my anemia and I was quite surprised at how bad it made me feel being in the hospital room again....I really appreciate what they've done for me and after full recovery it will be worth it but it was one of the roughest things I've ever been through :)

They still are not sure why my bone marrow is having trouble making heamoglobin and platelets. My white blood cells are doing ok. They said that they want to test my bone marrow if it doesn't clear up in a couple of weeks. In my view it was the strength of the chemo that has done it. They've admitted that I seem particularly sensitive to meds generally...much more than the average.

I try and keep myself moving around and I do my excersises regularly. I lost a lot of muscle mass in hospital and I need to keep moving to get out of the constant feeling of fatigue. Most of my family are in the UK and Australia but we talk via videophone and we have lots of supportive friends here so I feel loved....

Well hoping you have a relaxing weekend and that your efforts are gradually paying off too. Recovery is always quite slow....from stem cell treatment they tell me three months and I know that your hip may be longer. The most important thing is to keep doing the excersises which you've been shown.

Sending hugs to you Sara

constant storms here for the past 6 weeks. ellen is the current batterer i think.
i do remember it being said that scotland would become colder and wetter because of the so called global warming. not having a car means constant soaking.
the provari is heading home. more of the herd will be thinned.

That's it. I'm sick of mucking around. Back to mech squonking for now. No "waterproof" boards to fail, no dodgy wiring to fix.

I only bought REOs when they had their closeout sale last year. Mini 2.1 for 40 bucks, Grand LP and P67 for about 100 each. Lots of spares. I didnt know much about REOs at the time but @Spydro (owns more than 30) helped me out

Are they still selling the last of the stock or has it closed down definitively now?

They are having some problems with their new server or something. Got an email from them about it a few weeks ago.

I probably got one and deleted it, thinking it was just a sale... anyway, my order shows shipped/tracking. I should’ve emailed and asked, but I wasn’t thinking clearly.

Good morning shiners! Back after yesterday's festivities. Nice ceremony, then out for a family lunch, which meant my ex and her current husband, and my ex parent in laws. Good thing we all still get along, I didn't even have to chain vape to get though it.

I'll skim yesterday's activity here through the day, so likes to all and no offense to anyone if something was directed my way and I miss finding it.

Good morning and happy weekend all!

Rudy seems a bit better this morning. Still very stiff and walking hunched up, but was able to get off the porch without help. I’m trying to watch him when he doesn’t know I’m watching because he fakes being okay.

@lupinehorror I’m getting the global warming, you’re just getting climate change. Actually I think you’re getting my weather. So are a few other people. Sorry ‘bout everyone’s luck.
I don’t know whose weather I got, but it works for me.

Out of curiosity, why don't you guys use rayon? Easy to wick, lasts longer, works very well.

Not knocking you using cotton, just curious.
I am just used to cotton and like it. A friend insisted I try Rayon and sent me some. I was not impressed. I felt like it tasted different

I haven’t tried rayon. But I like cotton. Maybe I’m the oddball but I can only taste it for the 3-4 hits it takes to break in. I think I just never liked the idea that rayon shrinks. It’s hard enough to get cotton tight enough, and that supposedly expands when wet.
