I'm one that had to learn how to inhale vape. You'd have thought I'd never used any combustible products before. Brought back memories of my first toke on a stogie.
tell me what to tell him. Smaller draws?

I like to check ramp up times on Steam Engine but are a bit stumped with claptons. Want to try Ni80 in my mechs. I'm using flat Kanthal atm mostly because of the faster ramp up time. I found these lying around and hoping they have a decent ramp up...?View attachment 871779

Before I fit them. I want try them in single and dual configuration.
Are they decent ramp uppers...? :p
I have those same ones and I didn’t like them in my mech mod. Fused Clapton’s with more surface area will take longer to ramp up than simple wire even if it’s ni80 VS A1. But you may like it. Just not for me :)

I did yes. I did both for some time.

I’m not saying banning alcohol would be good I’m just saying it doesn’t make sense to think banning nicotine juice would be good when we’ve decided prohibition doesn’t work.

If vaping is banned completely or unreasonable restrictions are put on it then I know I would probably resort to black market e juice as would a lot of people. Not everyone would do DIY or even know how easy it is.

Just so silly that something like alcohol is starting to have its restrictions lessened while Ejuice is being made to be the devil.

There’s a commercial on TV where a ice cream man is telling kids to come get these great flavours of Ice cream at a park then telling parents it has nicotine in it. It then says this isn’t right... so why is this allowed. Then cuts to a shot of a vape shop with flavoured juice on the shelf saying flavoured Ejuice hooks kids.

Just craziness.
Not going to disagree at all. I think I may have misunderstood what you were trying to day in the post I quoted before.

Thought you were asking why people keep doing whatever they're addicted to. I believe now I misunderstood. My bad.

No I was replying to someone who asked that.

I was homeless in and out of jail addicted to many drugs for years. I know addiction. I would continue sticking the needle in my arm despite all the harm it caused me. Put me in some dark places. I’d be hog tied face down in a puddle for 20 minutes while the cops tore apart my car I lived in before impounding it and all my possessions and hitting me with a slew of charges. My wallet and phone would even be in there with my jacket sometimes and id be out on the street cold with nothing.

Still took a while before I stopped . I met my first girlfriend in a AA meeting and found a better life . We moved in together. But she was relapsing after a while and then killed herself.

Still life got so bad on drugs my heart break didn’t drive me back to that lifestyle

It helped my friend to turn the watts way down (kept going down to well below the coils wattage range until it felt comfortable) and close the af pretty tight. It’s been almost 8 years since I quit, but it seems like I had to pull pretty hard on a stinkie compared to a vape.

It was easier for me to hold the hit in my mouth for a moment before pulling into my lungs. I'm still never satisfied if I don't inhale be it mtl or dl. Only took a couple days to get the hang of it. Vapor isn't smoke and some just need some adjustment time. Kind of need to find a balance between a cig draw and a J draw for a bit and then without noticing you can hit your vape with no problems regardless of draw style. Just encourage your friend to be patient, it will become 2nd nature sooner rather than later if vaping is for him.

See the tight draw frustrated me to no end. I always loved a solid lung hit no matter what I was smoking. Honestly I'm still rather amazed I stuck with vaping at all. The STM dl draw was the turning point for me. I literally have marks on my wall from throwing nautis at is out of sheer petulance. Took a day or two to get used to vapor dl all over again but I just knew this was going to be my happy place.

I can’t stand a having to work to get a pull. I want it to glide into my lungs lol. Apparently I smoked incorrectly for 35+ years, always drew directly to my lungs. My friend smoked cigars and pipe as well as stinkies. Different style of draw from what I understand. Vaping choked him up every hit, even on the mtl tank I gave him. I’m proud of him for sticking with it until he figured out what worked for him.

Ive never bought anything that’s pre- order. Do you pay for it when they get the stock or before?

I never pre order either. I’ll wait for it to be in stock if I get it.

I didn’t read up on it, was feeling poorly today so I bookmarked it. It’s not common for an rda to not be at least as good as the rta, although it happens (wasp Nano). I love the kelpie tanks, so it looked interesting.

Yeah STM on a Istick was the turning point for me. Then the Taifun another turning point on learning to build.

I know right people would talk about mtl vaping being the same as smoking but I used to draw right to my lungs as well. Nobody ever taught me how to smoke correctly haha.

Never could figure out why the one side of the cotton goes darker

Any theories out there would be appreciated.
My only theory is because the cotton is trimmed, one side wicks more than the other

Me too, istick 30 and stm was pretty much all I used my first year. Nautis were seldom used after my first month or so.

Is your af closed down some? That or the top cap is usually the reason in my experience.

Only occasionally pull out a nano. Been thinking about building one with the flat wire though. The jk minis keep me pretty happy these days though building the nanos seemed easier.

Mabye you need to use scissors and fluff up each end before tucking them? I always do that seems to help juice travel up the cotton better:)
