You've got the wrong animal (was it our werewolf friend asking?) Charlie. I'm still drooling over a dotaio but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Don't know how long I can hold out though.:)

Edit: just read @lupinehorror 's post
Yes I realized after I posted it was the wolf :D My memory is getting worse and worse. The pain meds don't help either.

Sorry about that boar :D

Raise the nic, best option imo.
might get nic poisoned.not sure if store bought has my 50/50 mix.it does have a good bite compared to the max vg that is so popular now a days.i do agree that 3mg is very low for someone just quitting.

Morning all.
I dont post alot of personal info or issues typically as there are more important things out there.
Just a quick driveby to keep family in yalls thoughts and prayers if you would.

We lost my mother in law early this morning to her fight with cancer. She had been staying with us under hospice care for a while now.

We are ok as we know she is no longer in pain. But its a strange time as we cant even setup a memorial or visitation given the current state of things. I think that is weighing on her as much as anything else after her mom passed.

Wanted to let yall know as has been discussed here we are like a family. But i am not one to burden people with my issues or drama. Secondarily to explain my absence recently and possibly for a bit longer.

Stay safe all.
So sorry to hear this and burden away....no shame in that.

Thoughts and prayers going out to you both, especially your wife who must be feeling the loss of Mum.

Stay safe

Interesting times with my FastTech order, i think ive mentioned they sent one package with the Tripod RTA Extension & Tweezers via Hong Kong Post, and another for the coil winder via Singapore Post

Checking in just now at 4:40AM to see if theres any movement, i found Hong Kong Post appear to be handing off packages (or at least some of them) to Netherlands Post (PostNL International) for delivery. Never seen that before, so maybe theyre all playing nice to figure out how to navigate the mess we're in.

Still waiting (another 5 days, and for the 3rd time and already 20 days) for the actual Tripod RTA to be restocked...

Those folks at FastTech are doing their best and must be getting hammered

I send them nice notes of appreciation - im sure thats why i have some movement at all :)

hmm...left it to sit for 10 minutes (the dotaio that is) after filling. i get a 2 second inhale then the dry burn protection kicks in (flashes red-ish 8 times). hmm.
edit -
holding the power change button for 3 seconds disables the dry burn protection i have found
Yes I found I had to disable the dry burn protection as it works so well it won't let you take a decent draw....

How are you liking it now? :)

Interesting question without notice but what is the general consensus on ECF about the best mg/ml for long term smokers just quitting...i know at home here we normally suggest 16mg/ml for most folks we identify as MTL and lower for DL candidates

Sure, when i started out subohming had just started and people thought i was nuts for subohming 16mg right out of the gate (they talked me down from 18 :) ), but i had my last cigarette ever that day on the way back from the vape store to buy VG & PG an mixing up....and it did work for me, as i smoked maybe one smoke every 15 or 20 minutes, and found i would vape far less often than that at 16mg/ml and be totally satisfied. In fact within 6 months id only vape at the top of the hour and have maybe 6 toots, and get so much more done in life :)

So is there a kind of "general consensus" or ballpark for nic levels over here?

I think I am always thinking that my coil has had problem,in fact it is me not feeling satisfied with my Vape.I am on 3mg,there is nothing wrong with the coil as the Vape shopkeeper said.I am expecting much flavor and throat hit.Had used and thrown three coil away. Now I just want to not think of expect too much to be satisfied as long as I continue vaping and keep away from cig

The reason my coil isn’t spoil because there is still cloud coming out and no dry hits, just me expecting too much
after all that work, just put in.i want the blame too.:D

Shocking and disgusting sentence for one Shiny to say to another. I am going to hope we can call this a bad day (we all have them) hate to think this is the norm thinking for someone I thought was a nice person.
PS you would probably call me left leaning too and I might not have said so in such a vengeance but I probably share SM views.
Me thinks we all need to be respectful of others views.
Don (29palms) and I have stumbled a bit over politics but I cannot imagine sending a PM saying anything like that to anyone.
Can we all just get along???

in a way i'm glad it isn't just me but am confused as to why it isn't working correctly. don't think i've ever vaped my bb(s) dry but still.
i like it so far. 0.3 coil at power level 3. nice weight and size. very well built. i can see a dotshell in the future (despite me saying i wouldn't get one) but not for a while and assuming they're still being produced. happy with the purchase overall.
edit.
vanished earlier post reappeared...think i'm signing off for the day.

Get yourself some nic base and then you can adjust your favourite juice to any strength you like. I would normally suggest around 18mg for a packet a day smoker.

Good luck :)

The consensus is what works for the individual concerning nic strength.
