Now to make space for the ones on the way:w00t:
That red Minikin Kodama is a Very special one to me, that's the one I was lucky enough to purchase from Skunk:wub:

My last FT order is officially in!

I ordered another project x clone, an Ares 2, I'm joining the Brunhilde crew, got a Tripod, a Nibiru, and a dwarv...

    There. Done forever. :)

DHL express... hopefully it will get here in plenty of time.
You are done forever? Never going to buy anything else?

BTW, roughly how much was DHL express shipping on FT? I'm on a work laptop right now and going on Chinese commerce sites is frowned upon at the moment. Otherwise I could check myself.

    Morning shinies ;)

BTW: Your sense of humour is very refreshing  A lot of us who are building RTAs now are really just tweaking/fine-tuning what tastes fantastic, into what tastes incredible.

My first few rta wicks looked like absolute crap. BUT they vaped absolutely wonderfully. And those that didn't were easy to fix: if I got a dry hit, I used less cotton. If it was leaking, I used more cotton. 9 times out of 10 - my beginner wicking worked just fine
That is encouraging. And I don't care if it doesn't look pretty, I am all about function when it comes to vaping. I'm sure I will get it down in no time. And if not, I know I can always come on here and complain to my fellow vape enthusiasts.

Drama has been sparse lately--maybe he can dip his toe back in the water?
I know that I am pretty new to the forum, but I haven't noticed much of anything in the way of drama on here. Everyone I've interacted with has been pretty great. Except for @Daniel Forsyth. His constant peer pressure about buying a Brunhilde makes me uncomfortable.

I hope you're planning to file with PP for a refund or dispute the charge for what you paid by CC. Although I'm not sure if there's a time limit to do either of those.

Have you contacted the USPS about it? I know they have a minimum time limit, as far as how long you have to wait, before filing a missing mail report. But I don't know what the maximum time limit is that you can wait before filing one. Eight months past date of shipment may be too long though.

Actually, I opened a ticket at FT because, per their policy:

"If a package shows up on tracking website but doesn't delivery for some periods of time, a refund or a free replacement package can be sent by customers' choice as soon as the original package is verified lost by the carrier which is selected when an order is placed."

It took three months of back and forth, "Contact USPS," "I did--they had no clue and couldn't help," Call US Customs," I can't do that," "File a claim with USPS," "I can't do that, only shipper can file a claim," and so on. But I did get my refund. So thank you FT--it really wasn't their fault and they honored their policy. I wonder if they filed a claim and received a refund from USPS.

That is what I am hoping for. I was focused on buying RTAs that people said were easy to build on. I don't know if "easy to build on" means just easy to put the coil in, or if it also means easy to wick. I hope it means both.

Both. In my experience, mounting a coil is usually easier than getting the wicking just right. But it's me. YMMV :D

No pressure now that you have one:pervy:

The only time coiling and wicking is difficult, is only when it's your very first time. After that, you quickly figure out what you are doing

Not true. One word--Erlkonigin. Never got that thing built right. And I watched every video, I studied Qorax's pictorials, and had help from many ECF experts, including Roxy.

OTOH, I only had two cheap clones, not an authentic, so there's that. ;)

DHL for you would be roughly between $20-$25 depending on what you order:thumb:

After two such occasions I gave up, put it aside for 3 or 4 months then when I picked up a Kayfun 4, I decided I wasn't going to stop until I learned. The Kayfun 2 was an inexpensive clone, whereas the 4 was authentic so I was being hopeful the error wasn't with me...

 My beloved Kayfun 4. Difficult? Gotta be kidding me. ;)

Actually, the building and wicking wasn't a big problem for me, it's just a regular Kayfun deck, but the rest of it!?!?!?!? I had to watch Phil's video almost every time I had to refill or rewick. What were they thinking...

Send me your info and I'll mail you some Tidi rayon. It is medical grade with near zero break-in time. I used to use Sally's but gave it away after trying and being sold on the Tidi.

Where do you get your Tidi rayon, SMT? I tried several times to find a vendor that would sell me less than a case of 2000 balls, but never succeeded.

I didn't much care for Graham's (Sally's) rayon--i bought a small baggie of it from one of my regular e-cig vendors years ago, Kidney Puncher, iirc, and found it difficult to work with and not worth the hassle.

The vapocalypse begins here in the U.S. September 9...

As a result, we have all spent, in some cases, years preparing for it by purchasing what may essentially be a lifetime supply of vape gear.

The FDA ban hammer hits Sept. 9, after that nothing that isn't FDA approved will be legal to be sold in the United States. We have yet to know what they will or will not approve, only that both the pharmaceutical and tobacco industries seem to be running the "end vaping" show.

    Why? Because taxes...

Oh I know all about the FDA thing in September. I have spent the last couple of months working on building up a stash of gear. Because, honestly, I never probably would have bothered with buying RTAs and building otherwise.
