Morning Shinies

Bad news....my Brunhilde came yesterday and it's the standard dual coil one :(

I checked the SM shipping email and sure enough it says the standard.....which I'd never order. I don't know whether it's my mistake or theirs but I think I'm going to write and ask!! If there's no joy I'll have to order again..... bummer

Have a good day everyone

It does say I ordered it....that's the problem. There's no way of checking what went in your basket. But I guess with digital ordering I haven't got much hope that it was their error :(

I recently read that over 90 huge container ships are anchored right outside Los Angeles. And surprisingly the main reason is the lack of truck drivers. It appears that many of those jobs were filled by foreigners who aren’t able to get back into the US due to lack of manpower on the clerical side.

I did hear and read this from “reputable” news agencies and it seems to be reported by most of the media.

    it’s really a global mess.
this I know to be true because my cat Joe, diagnosed with Diabetes and Kidney disease within the last year is limited to only foods that contain very low carbs and very low phosphorus. There is one brand with one selection that he loves. Weruva's Steak Frites. All others he turns his nose up at. And this I know because I have a pantry full of Joe's "no thanks I would rather starve." It is very important that Joe eats or he could get Ketoacidosis. Of course, all vendors, including online vendors are out of Steak Frites and it is supposedly all due to it being stuck at the port. So daily I cook Joe chicken thighs and sirloin steak. It has to be cooked in a certain way, low heat and slow and in water with the water served to him to make sure he gets all the nutrients. Sheesh, who knew retirement would be like this? No wonder I never care to build anymore eh?

ive only ha one mod , my 1st “mod” (a pen type mod) auto fire on me. Well actually it was on the coffee table and I hadn’t even used it since the night before. I had just sat down when it started firing and did not automatically shut down as it was supposed to. By that time it was beginning to go into thermal overload. Somehow I grabbed it with a cloth and ran onto the deck and chucked across the lawn.

Scared the CRAP out of me. It could’ve exploded and burned down the house!!

Honestly my hands are shaking just remembering the incident. After that I started loosening the atomizer so the mod couldnt detect it and auto fire again. This was suggested to me by a more experienced person here.

I’ve gotten out of that practice again though. Bad me.

I think anyone who’s had that experience is probably a bit gun shy about it happening again.

I had an Ego do that. I threw it in the kitchen sink (in the water with the dishes). I had dogs who would have seen if I threw it in the yard and thought it was a game of fetch, so I didn’t want to risk it.

I like them on the quieter side of things but to be honest I never even heard of a click being too loud.

Im a bit ocd so now I’ll be rifling all my mods to see which type is it. Lol!

The one that annoys me most is the Minifit pod. It would be the perfect stealth vape except it’s so loud.

I sent SM an email but they are out of the office for National Day holiday. I sent Element an email about that Abyss, too. I kept forgetting to do that.
@charlie1465 your bought the mtl Brunhilde, right? I bought the dl and that’s a dual, I couldn’t find it with a single. I’m using some pre wound coils I got from the AVS sale that were similar to the ones it came with and they seem to be working nicely in it.

wow wow wow! And both battery and charger supposedly have basic safety cut off levels. I wouldn’t trust these things!!!

I ordered a new charger and a charging bag after that. It took a couple weeks for the smell from the batteries to go away.

That’s incredibly scary. Good thing it didn’t start any fires from gasoline or oil stored in your garage!!

Right. I keep my gas cans in my shed but there are other chemicals in the garage.

When I read that story the first time you posted it, I seriously reconsidered my charging setup. I used to have my charger on a small aluminium plate, but not far from a cotton curtain.
After your story, I moved it to an old disused fireplace and I never charge unless I'm awake and in the house.

To this day I don’t know for sure why it happened. My guess is the charger over charged the batteries and they vented. I was inside and heard the thud when on battery hit the garage door from about 20’ away from the charger that was sitting on the flat metal part of one of my tool boxes.

    It must’ve stunk!!!

What kind of charger did you get? I want to replace one of mine. I bought it when I first started vaping and only used 18650s. Its nice but I need a charger that can do 21700s or 26650s in it.

OMG that was incredibly quick thinking!!! I can’t even begin- horrible!! Fortunately my two dogs at the time were 5 pound Yorkies and didn’t go out unless I was with them. I jumped so quickly it scared them!!

I recall that I didn’t like the fire button on the Aegis Legend. But I’m not sure if it was how hard the pressure needed or it being clicky. I disliked it so much I haven’t used it against so … if you’re looking for a like new Legend in black (I think it’s black). Lol !!

Yes, in your banner. You joined ECF in Dec 2017

Im so out of touch  !!!! Thanks for finding that! I joined immediately when I started vaping. I research just about anything that can be researched and found this forum. I knew more in a month than my roommate of 3 years of vaping. But she was the person who encouraged me to start vaping. It took 2 years but once I had started vaping there was no going back!

You’re a beautiful animal lover and a great mom to Joe  !! Diabetes is no joke for any animal including people. All my dog rescues have had chronic illness, senior issues and/or blind. It’s a lot of work but it gives me a sense of purpose since I’ve been unable to work at the moment.

I hope that Joe lives a long life. If I see any of that special food I’ll send you a link. Is it prescription or regular?

I seem to have bought the wrong one....I'm not sure but I'll wait until after the holidays to email after what you've said. If you were nearer I'd send mine to you.....wings exposed and all. I like your wing cover

Yup...that's defo what happened. The early chargers were not that reliable. Mine's got all the bells and whistles now but I'm still pretty careful. It's good to have these stories repeated to remind everyone how full of energy the battery chemistry is....not something to get complacent about.
