Morning Shinies

Bad news....my Brunhilde came yesterday and it's the standard dual coil one :(

I checked the SM shipping email and sure enough it says the standard.....which I'd never order. I don't know whether it's my mistake or theirs but I think I'm going to write and ask!! If there's no joy I'll have to order again..... bummer

Have a good day everyone

Hopefully they’ll take the hit and take care of a valued customer. Fingers crossed!!

To this day I don’t know for sure why it happened. My guess is the charger over charged the batteries and they vented. I was inside and heard the thud when on battery hit the garage door from about 20’ away from the charger that was sitting on the flat metal part of one of my tool boxes.

See and it’s one more safety precaution that failed miserably. The mod auto firing and the charger over heating when it too is supposed to have a temperature trigger.

I purchase items like a charger partly because of its purported safety. If the description isn’t accurate then that’s a bit worrying.

I sent SM an email but they are out of the office for National Day holiday. I sent Element an email about that Abyss, too. I kept forgetting to do that.
@charlie1465 your bought the mtl Brunhilde, right? I bought the dl and that’s a dual, I couldn’t find it with a single. I’m using some pre wound coils I got from the AVS sale that were similar to the ones it came with and they seem to be working nicely in it. View attachment 958153
D can I ask what the problem with the Abyss is? I’m not finding the posts.

I’m using an Opus BT-C3100 right now.

Thanks! I’m going to check that out right away.

Update- after checking a few sites that carry that charger it does not include a 21700 sized battery. Too bad cuz I like the looks of it. Rugged.

I like them to be clicky and easy to find by feel. I keep trying to fire the Brunhilde SBS and missing....for example. I don't like clacky (loud) though. A bit of resistance is good....gives you the confidence that the firing mechanism on the board isn't going to get stuck :)

I also like it if I can feel where the fire button is with my thumb. Asmodus uses a concave button but it’s very easy to feel. And I think fire button is clicky be feel but NOT for noise.

I think there are two types of clicking- one you feel more so than hear then hear it. The second is, you guessed it, just plain loud like certain cameras use to be.

    Morning shinies ;)

    Is this the Solo Ange?

Yup, that's the pretty girly coloured Arbiter Solo!

and I never charge unless I'm awake and in the house.

This is one thing I've always done from day 1. I break most of the vaping rules  - but not battery safety.

    Salutations fellow vaperinos.

Close to 9 pm on this Saturday night, pops in bed early and i am trying to decide if i binge watch the Star Wars trilogy (first 3..the best) or maybe binge the first season of SeaQuest DSV,old favorite of mine.

Legal wise i think its going well, met this morning with the lawyer and he told me that the way they ''presented'' the charges against me probably meant they run a check to see what i had in my name (which is a big zero) and they will probably lay off since their expenses on the attorney/lawyer will be a lot and they won't be able to get anything back.

Makes me think thou...46 years old i would have never thought i would be like this at my current time,i mean yeah i got health and family (just my pops) but you know i thought i would be hitched by now and with a kid.
Not having anything in my name and just living but not really living makes you think...but well you know life is what it is,gotta take it as it comes.

Vaping wise still waiting on my delivery,it has left the Netherlands (PostNL) so i am hoping i will get it here early next week, then its time to test it and write a review.

Done some translating this week so i splurged for a bottle of Baileys, the original not the knock off stuff that costs like 5 euros and the next day your head feels like it might explode :lol:

So since my pops is in bed i am going to put on the first season of SeaQuest DSV and have me a couple glasses of Baileys.

Hope everyone has a good weekend :)

Amazon is wrong. It does take 21700 and 20700 batteries. :)

    https://www.18650batterystore.com/collections/opus-charger/products/opus-btc3100-v2-2

The best places to look for batteries or chargers is going to the online stores Mooch recommends. He's listed those in his blog.

Thanks. I sure wouldn’t buy batteries from Amazon but you think I should be wary of the chargers that Amazon sells? I hadn’t really thought of that - thanks and thanks for looking that information up I appreciate that you took the time :thumb: !

Sounds like my life as well. And I’m a bit older than you. Wasn’t what I planned or hoped for that’s for sure.

I don’t know what your situation is but I hope that it works out for you :thumb:

I wouldn't buy a charger off of Amazon unless it's the manufacturer, or a well known reseller, doing the selling. With everyone and their brother selling on Amazon you have no way of knowing if you are getting a genuine product. :)

Good advice. I’ll stick to the recommended list. Thanks again.

When I read that story the first time you posted it, I seriously reconsidered my charging setup. I used to have my charger on a small aluminium plate, but not far from a cotton curtain.
After your story, I moved it to an old disused fireplace and I never charge unless I'm awake and in the house.
I wish I had an old fireplace hanging around that I could use for battery charging. I can't think of a single spot in my house that would be fire resistant. Maybe I could stick the charger in a large pot or something.
