I actually kind of enjoy "Legacy" bands. A lot of them tour Tucson (and cover bands). It is absolutely not the same, but you can have a great time nevertheless.

I think, IIRC, the "longest running" legacy band is over 100 years old, but I can't remember who, and I may be misremembering.

It's also a situation in which one (may) have to adjust ones expectations, but that's okay, sometimes.

After U2's last album, I am READY for them to become a legacy band. LOLZ.

For me it’s Led Zeppelin. I was in a band too, and that was all we played. Totally ruined it for me. I’d rather hear the Brady Bunch theme than Stairway to freakin Heaven lol
First concert, first time smoking (other stuff). I was 13 and with a friends sister and so high up in the nosebleed section of the Forum in LA. I did not think I would EVER make it down those stairs

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
We’ll be fine. Lock down the shutters and enjoy the vacation without having to do anything but relax. Looks like just a lot of wet for a few days. Sort of like a snow storm up north, buy tons of junk food and batten down the hatches til civilization returns to normal.
Been there, done that. I was raised on Galveston :) The only thing I'd add is unhook the boat tie downs but leave the tarp on, and rig a painter to the porch railing in case you have to get out...

Famous guitarist from my hometown, Randy Rhoads, went on to play with Ozzy Ozborne. I remember him well, in our living room, before the glam rock thing took off. My brother was in a band with him and my high school years were filled with endless jamming at our house because my mom was gone and she allowed it. No homework done at my house. Here is a pic of him and my brother (on the ladder) and this is the beginning of Quiet Riot.
I remember reading or seeing that the loss of Rhoads so affected Ozzy that he seriously considered not continuing. Such amazing talent.

The band that irks me is Lynyrd Skynyrd. Best southern rock band ever, IMO, but the current lineup shouldn't be able to call themselve Lynyrd Skynyrd, It's none of the original members.
It’s a cover band now imho

Squid at the beach :D. Awoke to unexpected sunshine. Everyone “will” this mess to keep tracking east of me. I want to be on the wind side not the wet side. Would salvage the rest of the week if we could have a little sun and surf fishing

Most of Burbank lost touch with Randy (except fam of course) once he went on with Ozzy. I am still friends with another founding member Kelly Garni who now has a coffee shop and art studio in the desert in Nevada. I have friends that go to Randy's grave every April and Ozzie always sends a big wreath of white roses.
I doubt Sharon would let Ozzie quit because back then he was her bread and butter
