I heard about all the issues with the old ones. I have heard mixed reviews about the new ones.

Mine's given me no trouble at all. It works like a champ but I am getting some o rings which fit the 510 as some users have had some leaking issues. I think that it is to do with the way the squonk tube is fitting in some cases.

Mine's been as dry as a bone and it's a lovely vape :)

This is why I'm still on the fence. If the Topside Carbon isn't impressive on paper or way overpriced (yes. I'd love a light carbon fiber body but not if it costs the same as a VA Spade) it may be my better option. If not then I may well just get a regular dual Topside as they've dropped in price and an extra regular. It really is a nice regulated squonk.

Yes I may get a dual too...but the dna 250C is a big draw as well...it's a superb TC vape :)

I ordered the dual se, the one with splatter paint. That's always an option if tvc does his presentation and the cost is exorbitant.

I don't mind the joystick but won't be upset if it doesn't have one. I like the Powerful+ feature on my SX mini. Hopefully it has that. Beefy coils fire instantly on that mod. The way I would build it most of the time wouldn't work well with TC anyway so a DNA chip isn't the biggest selling point for me. I love the performance from the Yihi chip in my SL class and it's a single 21700.

Hopefully we'll find out soon enough. At least it's nice to have options. In the meantime outside of my Topside I love my bargain clearance Desire Cut and Squeeze 2. Both work great and cost a fraction on clearance. All 3 regulated squonks use 21700s, so I get a ton of runtime out of all of them.

Now that you say that I might dig out my cut and use it this week......

Can’t complain about bargain budget devices that just work - and continue to work! Both my Pulse 80’s were picked up on clearance (claimed over stock), where combined they were still cheaper than the full retail. Given these are the only devices that see the outside of my home they receive quite a bit of abuse and show no signs of wear. No where near the level of performance as say my DNA’s, but they just work, and keep on working.

My Occula RDA showed up today. I popped in a pair of Ni80 aliens that came out around .11 ohms.

Those clamps are massive.

It's a decent RDA. It has huge airflow to the point where I'm closing it down by 1.5 holes to get the flavor right. I do wish it was 25mm to take better advantage of what those clamps could hold. Also the cap feels a little thin and it gets pretty hot. It's OK overall but it's not going to be a favorite. The juice is pretty much Girl Scouts Thin Mint cookies, so that's a win. It's a little heavy on the mint but a steep might mellow it out. We'll see.

Those aliens look tiny next to those clamps

But those screws sure are pretty. Me, I'd put another wrap on those coils but whatever works. I guess. 0.11 ohm is kinda low for a single tube mech.
I think they are too. The clamps are huge. I don't like going that low myself. I am picturing my other set of Mohawks on that atty. They are .14, which would work good with 30Ts. That deck would be perfect for some coil porn.

I only use single coils with my squonkers since they are all single battery. I always use drippers for crazy dual coil builds. I want the smallest dual 18650 regulated squonker available, I mostly use squonks when I am out and about. Most I have seen are just too big for my taste. The one you got there looks pretty compact though. Would be awesome to have a squonker that could push some crazy dual builds
You know what. I got sent the wismec dual 18650 squonker in release last year and couldn't give the thing away.
I'm afraid I love the thing. Shorter than a drone and about the same size as the old rx. Really great for pushing dual coil builds with the avatar board.
Had the iconic to review last week as it was on discount and I was running dual flat nichrome aliens in that thing at 150w with ease. Never leaked either.
I'm the same generally. I usually use flat nichrome single coil rda's at around 30w but it was fun to make some serious cloud for a while.

It's a great photo prop. I think you could make a coil out of jumper cable and still have it hold in place. It's a nice looking top cap too. But too thin with a hot build means painful lips. I've had that on the inside of my lower lip from a short little rda with a metal cap. Makes me really like Delrin or Ultem.

But yeah, even with a 30T that resistance is really pushing your luck. I'm conservative with that stuff. Especially with a tube. At least with my mech squonks the door would pop right off. Hardly optimal, so I make we very effort to avoid it. Then again I'm happy with a 0.3-4 ohm build on my mech squonks. I'm not looking for cloud and I don't really enjoy a very hot vape. But I also use 22 mm single coil attys on those, so it's apples to orangina. Is that stuff still on the market? I remember liking it.

If anyone wants a forever squonk (or general mod) I'd recommend mat at fyne mods.
Been mod making for years and has the most awesome follow up care. Just send your mod back periodically for the price of postage and get a full clean, wax and service.
Some lovely dual bottle squonkers in DNA or yihi but the 20700/21700 single cell squonkers are a welcome addition.
