Gah. I thought you were talking about those adonized aluminum screws I saw earlier in the thread. What are those? Thumb screws? Don’t burn yourself.
Those are the extra screws that came with my Apocalypse. They are regular flathead screws. I need to be gentle use a big flathead for them.

You don't have to tighten them but a smidge for pics. Fresh build will get some color anyway.

And seeing as certain folks insisted on seeing the LV Drone fix.

O ring works like a charm. But like you said @Skunk!, there shouldn't be any leaking issues with the 510 on the Drone. Especially with how much it costs.

As it seems as though they're not pressure tested at the factory as part of quality control. But when you start to Google drone leaking, it's been happening since the first version and it also seems that other LV Squonk mods have been affected by leaking as well.

Also, the o ring idea can be used on any Squonk mod to prevent leaking and also allow the RDA to make a better seal. So no liquid ends up under the RDA, only in it. Unless you over Squonk.

I'll keep that in mind. My squonkers all seam pretty leak free, except the Pulse BF. it leaks a bit but it doesn't bother me much on that one. It's my old beater work mod. I'll try it and see if it helps.

It certainly won't do any harm it and it's cheap as well, but I'd advise you to measure the centre pin on your Pulse BF. Just to make sure that you get the right size o ring for the job, because there's no industry standard on 510 squonk connectors.

But as long as you get the right size, at least it doesn't end up leaking inside or through the 510. Hopefully it isn't leaking anywhere else.

Also, please give a nod to @Black wings. As they're the individual that raised the useful idea of using o rings to help stop leaking.

The whole squonk interface is of bad design. It relies on a flat surface to flat surface to create a seal – any imperfections could promote leaking. Even a slotted squonk pin such as below can promote leaking.

@Mordacai – thank you for the picture. As they say a picture is worth a 1000 words and yours gave me a clearer understanding on how it was implemented. Another member used the o-ring on the 510 of the atomizer to try and prevent leaking from under the atty and out onto the device. It may have prevented that, but fluid might also find its way into the device. I’d say your fix is much more functional.

On squonkers that tend to end up wet under the base of the RDA from juice working it's way up the threads and pooling under the base. I use a small o-ring directly on the 510 pin of the RDA, push it on over the threads until it's against the base and then screw down the RDA. Keeps them nice and dry underneath.

MTL vapers have been squonking with that Vapefly Galaxies - granted, it's an RDTA but I haven't heard anyone complain after they get used to it..
My Pindad is an RDTA that is squonkable, it's totally different on an RDTA than on that RTA.

You have to loosen the top on the Augvape to allow the pressure out while you squonk, might just as well fill the tank from the top instead.

@TrollDragon, if you can make it out in the picture that I posted. The o ring in the bottom of the 510 connector with a reasonably tight fit around the centre pin works as well. Plus the RDA sits flush with the mod.

Just flat head screw BF squonk pins don't work with it of course.

I noticed the o-ring in there and might just try that on my Furyan as it likes to put juice under the RDA. The 510 threads on it seem to be a little deeper than other 510s, it's also a Lost Vape product. ;)

Not entirely sure if the Furyan was mentioned in my searches, but lots of LV mods seemed to be affected.

I was only able to work out the o ring size, due to using calipers (vernier). They had the ability to measure depth as well. But a toothpick or the likes and an engineers ruler should be able to do a reasonable job for gauging the depth of the 510 on the mod and just the ruler for the length of the 510 on the RDA.
