I have not ventured into the new drones. Had the original that the button quit on, poor design. Probably fixed on the new but i fell in love with topsides.
I would recommend to look at the topside. I have 3 single a dual and a carbon. No issues with any. I even dropped one so that it bent in where the bottle opening is. Couldnt get the sled out, bent it back and still works great.
I dont use temp control so the dovpo chip is great for general use. Many get the dna devices for temp control. there is a school of thought that if you dont use temp its a high cost for vw.
Just figured id mention this as i have not bought any squonks since the topsides. Not saying i wont but it ticks all the boxes for me. Single topside is best for single coil or maybe the profile. Topside dual for your beefy dual coils. They do have the carbon (limited production they say) that is a yihi chip and has good temp. All have a 10ml topfill bottle so they are simple.
Oh and they do have bypass on the single, so almost mech.

The only issue I’ve heard with the new drone is leaking, which mine did. Added an O ring to the 510 and haven’t had a problem since. Some complain that the door moves, even creaks, when you squonk. Mine only moves a tiny bit, I don’t live that but it does not cause the door to pop off or make me dislike the mod. The body is ultra which is fine for me, maybe not so great for people who are hard on mods. Probably won’t like being dropped or sat on.
The topsides - I have a single and a double, not the carbon - are pretty fabulous. There is an issue with loose screws on some of the battery doors. One screw was loose on my single. So do check those and if they loosen again, glue them in.
I prefer the single just because the double is such a honking big lug, and because I love the single in bypass.
I don’t rate stuff the way reviewers do. I don’t take points off for a thing being what it is. If it’s a double I don’t take points off for being large, of course it’s large. Just throwing that out there because I always see awful reviews for handbags because they’re too small. Well duh, read the specs. The title is small bag, the measurements are given.

I rebuilt the Unicorn because I had a .2 ohm reading, which frankly was a bit too much for me. It’s at .35 now, and very smooth. I’m testing the Boston Cream I mixed yesterday. It’s good, but it’ll be better in a couple weeks. It misses the mark, I am shooting for a Hit That Donut clone. I need another vanilla, something light and light and fluffy. I have a couple dozen in the cubby so there’s probably something that’ll work. Seems a little too much chocolate right now, but it should be about right when the Boston cream blooms.

So, after ordering the new epipe yesterday, I decided I might want a few new RTA options ... so I ordered a couple dvarw RTA clones (22mm), a berserker mini RTA clone (22mm), and a couple merlin nano RTAs (18mm plus a 22mm ring). That should do it for a couple days.
Still awaiting my Flux 26650 squonker ... it only moved from Delta PA to Elanger KY last week and is now at the global shipping center --- should land in Canada this coming week, and perhaps my mailbox early next week.

Speaking of numbers I GOT my computer for crazy cheap, they can transfer my 365 the guy was actually like, "Yes, with your pathetic, puny computer needs you have ACTUALLY selected the right device." Heh. I don't get why a BIGGER laptop would be less other than... It didn't come with software, I bought it on sale, and the current laptop I have has ful 1080 HDMI which I don't really need but I think mostly I was paying for the screen. I have literally NO storage on this one my new one has a fairly capable solid state drive.

First try is:
8% Cap Boston Cream v2
2% Signature French vanilla cream
1% TFA. Double chocolate clear
1% Cap super sweet.
These are all going to need a couple weeks to get where they’re going. I think I’m going to try adding just a bit of Bavarian cream and some vanilla bean ice cream.
I remove batteries from all my mods when they are not in use. Regulated mods can aurofire also. There is a 0% chance of a mod firing unattended if there are no batteries in it.
