It was working. But if you change the atomizer and then try to use it again it won't work. And this is the subtank that the company decided to pair up with the Colossal in their little combo deal. Kind of wish that I hadn't purchased another mod from them before I found this out. I do think it's something with the pin since it only happened after I put another atty on. I wonder if I can just return the Luna and this when I get the Luna. I really don't want an unregulated mod that's going to have these kind of problems.

I’ve had the same issue you’re describing with a few mods. Not Colossals, and I have 8-10 of them.

But any mod can do this... all of their 510s can be a different height. One atty will work, another won’t, but it works on other mods. That right there tells you neither the mod or atty are malfunctioning.

The 510 on an atty can easily screw in too tightly, especially after being put on and taken off a few times, but even right out of the box. Just turn it counter clockwise about half a turn. You have nothing to lose, might as well give it a whirl.

ETA nvm- I didn’t see your latest reply. I’m not familiar with the tank you have. But if one gives me on going grief, I pitch it lol.

I've had no problems with the Luna. I think this is a Colossal problem, pardon the pun :p

This Asmodus Collosal
It doesn't work with the Project X, WASP Nano.

It sporadically works with the Ohmie tank that came with it. It also doesn't work with the siegeli wolf subtank but I didn't try changing the pin position.

And it does work with the doggy style and the freemax gemm disposable, the bellus and the goblin.

My question to other colossal owners is there anyone out there that has the Project X or the WASP Nano and also owns the colossal and The Colossal works with the WASP Nano and the Project X?

Because what I need to decide is whether it's likely just this mod and I can simply ask for a replacement or if this is an issue that's going to happen with any colossal I get and then it severely limits what I can and cannot use with it. Then I need a whole different mod because I don't want a situation where I can only use it with certain atomizers especially when we're talking rdas and rta's I just don't get that

Thanks everyone!

Not sure if you figured this out yet- but you don't swipe up. Swipe down, it goes from Normal to Hard. Down again, it goes to Soft, down again goes to Normal. And once you've swiped down the first time to unlock, then you swipe right and left to access other features & settings.

You should check out a video review on it, that walks thru navigation. Like many things, it's easy, but only if you know how! But the interface is really different from anything else out there, and it confused me at first, too. I accidentally changed to soft hit one time, and thought it wasn't working at all. But it's become my favorite mod, in spite of the weight.
Yay! Swipping down worked! Now it is cooking. Thanks all

That's really good news.....I must pop into the lounge more
You should !

The thread just isn’t as big and not as many people get to see my famous bunnies . I’ll pop on here once in a while though. Plus All those hearts you guys give sure brighten me and my rabbits day :)

Of course there is the odd person who doesn’t like rabbits and will probably report it if it becomes too much. But oh well I’ve been blessed by this community and the majority seem to enjoy looking at my fur babies.

I’ve got some vape mail coming !
MY rose finch mech mod should be here in a couple weeks and then I got some juice to last me a while before the government hits us adults with more taxes on vaping products to keep kids from using them. Such a smart idea...

My colossal works with the Project X, doggy and every other atty I've tried on it. It's a spring loaded 510 pin - so possibly the ohmie tank, with that coil, pushed it down too far. Return the tank & mod to Asmodus (Post your problem in their vendor thread).

But don't let one tank put you off their mods. They work extremely well, and a year later - my Colossal looks new, despite every day usage.

    @TrollDragon Happy Birthday :wub:

The thing that’s weird about it is the size. It’s only 23 mm wide, but has a fairly large chamber, which is slightly domed which is good for flavor at least. But while it’s fairly large, it isn’t as roomy as a typical 24 mm dual build deck and chamber. That’s why I found the single 4 mm coil raised up with moderate airflow to work the best for me. I wouldn’t view it as a dual coil cloudy atty because the volume IMO is a little small for that. But it’s not a small concentrated type of setup on a 22 mm single coil say Venna or KRMA or Flave. So it’s an in between atty that works well for what it is, but does seem to need just the right build to meet individual expectations.

Let’s face it, some tanks don’t work for everyone. The Recurve is a big favorite of folks, and I have two, but just can’t warm up to them. They’re sitting unused and I can’t think of what will motivate me to go back to them. The closest I could come to something OK was by cutting really long legs and raising it up to the top of the chamber, and then it was sorta OK, but not terrific. I remember when I was vaping strictly RTAs that the Boreas was loved by all and I couldn’t figure out why. It was meh at best and ended up in the drawer while everyone raved about it. Another example is the wasp nano. Another one a lot of folks really like in the little 22 mm class, but it doesn’t do it for me. Again, personal preference, not saying everyone is wrong, it’s just not a good fit for me.

The good part of a large selection like we now have of attys is finding the best fit for us, but it may well not work for another. Sorta sucks, but that’s been my experience.
I'm the same with the Wasp Nano. Have tried quite a few times to make it work but all I get is spitback and an overheated topcap. Coils too big you think? Tried simple round wire too and same issues. I'm starting to think I got a dud - maybe some internal resistance in the atty itself that's causing it to heat up. Anyway it's sitting clean and unused in it's box in a drawer so if anybody wants it just pm me

    Good morning shinies

Lots on the way though I won't get it before I have to check myself into the Hilton hospital in Nice. I'm counting down to the second of Jan which is my start date for the final stem cell treatment. Not looking forward to it much....four weeks and some really powerful chemo..... they're going to make me feel really ill again :(

Still once it's done I should be cured.... hooray :p :p

It is going to suck big fat hairy monkey balls

....! You have a huge cheer leading group in here, and anytime you are struggling - complain your .... off, so we can help. I'll be sending happy kiwi vibes over

I received my Hussar v2 RDA (22mm) about a week ago. It's a restricted DL. The dual sided airflow is very much in the Venna ballpark. The cap is slammed like the v1 RDA or the Project X RTA. It's very quiet and like the v1 or X it has big time flavor. The v2 is a keeper!

There really isn't much room for a large diameter coil (same with the BioChip and Seven RDA's). I tried a 3mm ID coil and wasn't satisfied. With a 2.5ID coil it's perfect. I'm using an AVS 26/30 316L clapton at 0.4 ohms.

@AngeNZ coils go anti-clockwise just like the v1. Juice delivery is the same as the v1 but it's been improved. The finned top piece can be screwed off and swapped with the one from the Project X. Yes, I do like it better than the v1. It Frankenvapes perfectly. You know you want one! :D

I have the Ulton vsn: https://www.fasttech.com/products/3041/10036695/9719967

There is also an SXK vsn for $15.28 w/MAP: https://www.fasttech.com/products/3041/10036695/9716618

Yes, I want and NEED one. And the ulton version just fell into my cart at FT. I'll add bits and bobs and stick it through tomorrow.

Thank you Mr Guinea Pig
