Vapage & Brian seem to be good peeps. Thus, why I maintain my Fanboy status. They genuinely want us to be happy & are going to great lengths to do so.

That said...I can't wait for the the Hybrid Version 2! :)

I agree. Brian and that crew over at Vapage are working hard. I don't doubt that.

 These are the changes being made in the next batch:

The coils are pretty. They are consistent and centered to give better/consistent vapage.

The connecter pin is new; it is now 1.3mm; down from 1.6mm to give better mouth draw. The
Venturi end is smaller now (lower profile) to fit ALL 510 connectors.

A new "lower" washer seal is now included on all Hybrid BF sold to work with the floating connector issue of the REO mod. It also works with the VMOD same as always.

The inner wires are now away from the Venturi hole so the airflow is consistent

All Hybrids come dry, and are metered before packaging. This results in almost zero DOA's, and +/- 1ohm of spec

Brian the owner wrote me a long pm today I guess after reading my 'beta-tester' comment of few days ago. He was kindly offering me a full refund or all replacements with the new versions if I was feeling used or ripped off. I also just realized I made that comment on this forum after I was offered replacements on aug 14th by Brian(my comment was written on 16th), so maybe it was unfair of me to say it that way. I sent him a reply today and thought I'd post it here too for the sake of fairness although there was no new point made other than already discussed here by many. So excuse me for taking up space with repeated points~!

---------------------- pm slightly modified from what I actually sent him -------------------------------
Thanks for the head up Brian,

Maybe it was too harsh of me to say the 'beta-tester at my own cost' comment. I did not say that to mean 'I was used' or 'I was ripped off,' but I guess I can see someone understanding it that way too... The comment came out of me after my attempt to get some customer service at Vapage.com through 'contact us' emailing and not getting any response for five days or so, but since you did offer me the replacement your company didn't really deserve that comment from me. My apologies.

I'm a quite newbie to pv world, and I killed a couple out of six that I ordered at my own fault. The first two(from the same package) did die short but you promised replacements and it's probably on its way already anyways, so I'm happy that you're standing behind the product and actually in process of improving them also.

Everytime I go to some product review site I almost always expect to see higher ratio of complaints than probable real considering the actual product sold. For example, if 1 out of 10 made was defective, I'll definately see that one person with the defective product making a complaint, but I won't see 9 of good(or 'it's doing what it's supposed to do') reviews(realistically I'll probably see like 3-4). So there's always that inevitable bias on good vs. bad ratio on review threads that one should keep in mind.

I heard some people on this thread mentioning that they couldn't get email response from 'contact us' at Vapage.com. I had the same frustration too. Maybe improving on the customer service system of your website will get you around the avoidable complaints on forums. Just a thought...

Anyways, I really appreciate your considerations and offer, but you don't have to worry about me as I'm having hard time waiting for the next version of this atty. This hybrid I'm vaping on is too good to make my final judgement so soon.

See you around~!

OK, in my shipment up from Florida I got the replacement four 2.8ohm bottom-feed hybrids. Notes and a question:

- There are the original style with the thinner coils and connector pin issues
- It came w/ o-rings for the "Reo" problem
- It looks like they hand-inspected these before re-sealing them and all the coils are quite reasonable for first batch

Before I use them, one question.. should the optional o-ring be installed ~anyway~?

I'll report back later after I retrieve a feeder from my hotel room. -Magnus

Yeah, with the first ones I used I did four drops, sit 5m, four drops, sit 5m, four drops, and 5m again, and dry pull once or twice. These will end up sitting about a hour or three through because the bottom-feeder mod is back at the hotel. I don't want to drip these and end up w/ nicquid on me.

Emonty, the o-rings if not installed just slide right over the thread and flat against the base of the atty body. -Magnus

Don't forget to let it soak for a little bit --- I think I've heard 10 drops and 1/2 hour or so seems to be about right for this atty.

Better news! I had two go yesterday. One died in mid vape metered nadda. The other was 8.0 something. Grabbed a new one, put condom on threads, squirt juice to cover coils, impatient, I was vaping in less than 3 minutes and no problem. That was on a Vmod will filled feed chamber.

Love this marriage!!!!
