The difference in flavor (and especially depth of the flavor) I get between fused claptons and aliens is easily more than 20% difference (says the 45yo 'kid' that is me). Further, your assertion that Ni80 doesn't lend itself well to be used in wattage mode is based on nothing but sliced thin air. Also, while it is true the fact a .07 ohms build on a single battery mech neither is safe nor should be considered safe, the same holds true for ANY coil resistance on ANY mod type. Lithium ion rechargeable batteries are dangerous. It's dangerous to vape on them. They never were designed to be used outside a fully protected battery pack with a protection circuit. By knowing the risks, understanding the risks, and accepting the risks there are certain things that we can do to mitigate them without interfering too much with how we want to vape. On a Vaperz Cloud Stormbreaker equipped with three (married) Samsung 30T batteries in parallel, you could be vaping a .07 till your face turns purple and green and still not cause the batteries to come even close to breaking a sweat if you correctly apply general safety rules of vaping the mech. What's more, you're not going to suffer from weak battery life when you've got that many mAhs on tap. Heck, if you go for the 40T instead of the 30T you STILL aren't close to going over the CDR of the battery as long as you know your stuff about keeping batteries properly in balance on a parallel battery mod and you understand basic safety for mech.
That said, Mooch recently did a video on the subject of using a series mech. One of important things to take away from that is you can have plenty more power on the mech if you are willing to abandon the idea of sticking to single battery mechs, and you don't have to build to excruciatingly low ohms to get there so, if I may be so bold to say so Sir, learn how to specifically build advanced coils, specifically for the power output you're aiming to achieve on a given mech setup with a given battery configuration, with the batteries that you select.
