Crystal Clear Vaping.

Let's just be clear on the "V1.5" w/4 amp switch and a 3.2 amp regulator....this one, right?
The very same unit that is being touted as the V3.0, like the OP claims?
I assume when you say switch you mean the power button. On all the current models of VV units I'm aware of the power switch just activates the circuitry so there is minimal current present at the switch so there is no 4amp switch involved.
Not sure what you mean by 3.2amp regulator, that is just a number some have used to describe the V1.5s amp rating. As it works out I think it's supposed to be 3amp though it's short of that in all the tests I have run.
AFIK there is no V3 available so I don't know what you are referring to. From what little, apparently reliable, information I've read a V3 won't be available for several weeks, maybe months.
The version "V1.5" is a fraud, it's NOT a Lavatube....it's a knockoff.
Recall the conversation about the Ovale V8 and how the carto/atty connection looked on yours? Does it look anything like this mod (picture 2 of 4) or is yours a surface mount?
VZ 6V Variable Voltage Box Mod Body Only - E Cig : Joye eGo & eGo-T | Boge Leo | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes | eGo Tank
Pity the vapor that has leaking problems with this one.

This is where everyone is getting these units confused, and I'm sure that it was absolutely intentional!
Is that meant to suggest that the L-Rider original Lavatube is the only "authentic" LT? I'd be more inclined to consider all Lavatubes (or whatever name they're rebranded with) to be knockoffs of the ProVari. What should we call a knockoff of a knockoff?
Actually, I don't care what we call them, as long as the performance/features/price ratios are advantageous to me personally. We don't know about durability at this early stage, so that can't be factored into the considerations.
Although I may eventually get one, I haven't yet bought a ProVari, primarily because of the weight (heavy) and freight (relatively high price). I also didn't buy a Lavatube V1, because the 2.5 amp limit and lack of resistance checking were deal-breakers for me. I did buy both the V1.5 and V3.0 LTs, however, and so far, they both fill my wants and needs beautifully.
No, I can't verify whether the advertised 3.2 and 4.0 amp limits are true or false, but in actual real-world vaping, I don't notice any diminished performance (of the kind that many LT V1 owners complained about when using dual coils) with any combination of voltages and atty/carto resistances I normally use. I get the vape I expect with great consistency from both units. Plus, I paid less for the two LTs together than I did for my BuzzPro, which was itself about 40% less than what a ProVari with an extension cap would have cost me.
Please understand that I'm not knocking any of these VV APVs. The ProVari, BuzzPro, and all versions of the Lavatube have their respective niches in the marketplace. The half-life of a given Lavatube version is probably much shorter because the Chinese are so aggressive in manufacturing, marketing, and implementing significant improvements and upgrades to that product line.
Depends on what you're vaping Tex. My favorite carto is a 1.6ohm DC clearo and 13watts just barely brings up a decent vapor and flavor when they are new, higher as they age. As I recall you are pretty happy using a 3.7v battery with the Echo DC cartos whereas I needed at least 4.5v to get satisfaction from them. We are indeed to totally different vapers. If a person was wise they would start and stop with the MadVapes VV box mod which is as efficient as any of the high priced units and much better than some of the wannabees. Save a lot of money.
And yes I was a non filter Camel man for most of my smoking years.

I knew you must have been a camel smoker! You are hard core to the bone! I still can't get over 13 watts!8-o

Having a 4 Amp PV would be for me like living in the city and buying a sports car that went 200 miles an hour and I drove it 25 miles an hour all the time!![]()
I am also confused! Are the retailers specs wrong?
Does that mean we need a version # for each manufacturer's lavatube? =)Knock offs or not all that matters is how they preform/safety, I think.
