Honestly I feel like a wimpy vapor these days, it seems like 90 percent of every device and video out there is geared towards major power. I see pre made coils in ranges from 40 to 100 watts. Christ, it seems everyone has a dna 200 these days! What in the heck does one need 200 watts, or whatever they push out.The highest dna I have is a 40, but most are 30, I tried 40 once in my dripper, just to try it, and because all my juices are 18 and 24mg, it was a little harsh.[emoji12] ... if I sub ohm, it's not by much, most of my coils are between .8 to 1.2 ohms. Pretty much vape around what I used to, just upped the wattage a little.

I don't know Diver. I think a lot of these vids are put out by younger men (shall I say boys) with an excess of testosterone and younger lungs. :)

Keep in mind most vapers are not high power enthusiasts. We tend to see what we see on ECF and Utube vids and they really only appeal to a small e-cig market in comparison to the whole market.

I still Vape @ around 1.3 - 1.5 ohm, and around 9 - 13 Watts. I find it to be a cool, tasty Vape. For me that is.
Although I don't vape that high of wattages, I must admit I need a major TH for me to feel satisfied. I definitely need that thump when vaping, so I have stayed high in nic for sure. I have tried 12mg once and couldn't vape it at all. So if I vape 18mg at 23 ish watts it's does the trick.

Most people that buy them do so because it's a tweakers dream. But I will say this about the DNA 200, when you vape above normal one cell battery voltage (happens a lot) it produces a much smoother vape. Think it has something to do with buck/boost circuitry.

So I think it's less about having 200W available, and more about setting your vape exactly how you want it. It's crazy the things you can do with it.

I'm just the opposite. I love the tube form factor - and am averse to the boxes. I have just two true boxes (both VaporSharks), a semi (the iStick v1) and a midway (the ZNA). But tons of tubes, which I use constantly, while the boxes remain indoors, usually for photo-ops only.

Knocking over, tho seldom, is Ok for me. That's part of the journey! Well, I've dropped buncha cigarettes into the riverbed while trying to take out one from a pack you see :D

Oh yes, we all are different. Which is why the world is such a unique and lively place!
Indeed, it would be boring if we were all the same.... it's killing me to have my WAE 2 just sitting around, it's such a fantastic mod and so well built.

Looks like you waited too long, I believe they're out of stock... when you click on the link it says "There are no products matching the selection."

I'm just north of you in the Tampa Bay area.
Darn! Yah I seen them like a week or so ago but haven't looked recently. Looks like intaste or SvoëMesto then neighbor

I'd tried all variations of wicks , thick, thin, long short, barely touching the deck, etc, etc. none of the wicks were pushed tightly down to the deck. Trimmed the tails, etc, etc. this was with a contact coil. When I went to spaced coil for it, no more problems.

I went thru 8 wicks or so with the same contact coil. Varied the coil height a little. Still had the problem.

Maybe, I should have said "burnt taste" rather than "dry hit" . Not all of the wicks had burning on them, and the ones that did, varied in degree of burn.

My current theory is that MY juice gets burned to a contact coil in the confined deck of the mini. Too much heat for my juice (Halo TriBeCa). Still working fine 1.5 tanks at this point.
I think I went through the same thing as you... I've had plenty of experience with the K4 and knew exactly what worked for me, using one specific juice. This is my ADV juice and is a RY4 type. Using a 2.5 mm ID coil (not spaced) resulted in a good vape for the first tank but then started to taste burnt. I then switched to a 3 mm ID spaced coil and have not had the same problem. The only difference between the two tanks is that with the K4 I could go almost a week with the same wick and it still tasted great, but with the mini I'm having to replace it every 2-3 days, same exact juice. But with the spaced coil I'm actually getting better flavor than the K4.

You may be right, definitely a possibility about the juice, but that's why I love rebuildables, it's like a puzzle sometimes and I think it's fun trying different things and once you nail it, it's very rewarding.

Yes I really can't knock it because I have never vaped one, I guess I just quit following the never trends. I'm sure if they were out a few years ago, I would be all over it. It took me a few years trying to find the perfect vape and I feel like I found it but I suppose there is still even better now with the newer devices like you said, and I am truly glad to see this industry grow, it's awesome, I'm just not chasing it like I used to.

No doubt, i have seen a lot of people post that darker or sweeter coil gunking juices fare much better with a spaced coil. I now understand what the OP was saying about burnt taste rather then a burning.

Waiting for Steam Tuners to get the drip tips back in stock...will be perfect after that. The weight reduction is huge with the Diamond tank. Just dremeled the juice holes a little wider for easier filling.
Great idea on using the Dremel. It is a little annoying to fill. Not the first fill, but subsequent fills when there's juice in it.

I do love it very much, but to answer someone else's question, it does not seem to increase capacity.

Also waiting for both drip tips to be back in stock...

The weird thing is that this juice, Moon Mountain's Mother of Mars, is not dark and does not gunk up my coils. In the K4 I could go almost a whole week without re-wicking, with the same juice, which is the only juice I vape in Kayfun tanks. My first coil (not spaced) in the new K3 Mini was 2.5mm 26 ga Kanthal, then I switched to a 3mm 26 ga N80, so not a fair comparison, I'm still enjoying this second coil. So it could be ID or the different wire, need more testing... I'll try a 3 mm Kanthal next.

Well that's a mouthful, moon mountain mother of mars! I personally think a tight coil needs a rewick more often because in time the build up has an easier time getting stuck and bridging the coil and obviously once that happens you get a nasty taste. Although a spaced coil may fare longer before getting the nasties, I think the cotton between the coils gets a little nasty and starts darkening your juice quicker making the whole tank not as fresh. It all seems simple enough , but there are so many factors to building, it's hard to really pin point something without a lot of time... but as for sort of burnt hits solely from the difference of a spaced vs a non, not sure about that.

The heat produced in a contacted coil is much higher then from spaced coils... this is why I aim for different ohm range when building contacted coils. All though spaced coild tend to wick better and guck up less... flavour is better on spaced coils imo but thats just personal preference.
